That’s what I was thinking. I lived in a studio apartment in California with a comparable kitchen to that and it was a whole lot less money (and this was in a So Cal beach town!). I guess you eat in restaurants or something which sort of makes sense if this is a vacation dwelling. Hotels tend not to have extensive cooking facilities even in the suites.
This feels claustrophobic. Like a cross between a seaside villa you can't walk away from, and a yacht stuck out to sea. Also the sea floor beyond those bits of artificial coral is dead thanks to the island projects, so you'll get tired of looking at that small school of fish pretty quickly.
How does plumbing work on the below sea-level toilet and shower? Maintenance of the structure must be INSANE due to the salt water exposure. There is lots of hype around these man-made islands in Dubai, but the economics of it is the more interesting story.
The islands made off Dubai were a failure, they didn't account for simple things like tides and currents... the water between the islands quickly became stagnant and there was a massive loss of sea life and water quality .. last time i was there they were still trying to fix it and there were no permanent residents allowed to occupy the outer islands.. P.S im not talking about the giant "palm" islands attached to the main land
@@susanburke3722 from what i read they bulit the land masses and then began to worry about all the other amenities... but the design alone was so monstrously inapt they didnt even get that far before having to back pedal through an environmental disaster
This is my first time on your channel, I like how you and Mikey feed off of each other, it makes the description of what you’re explaining to us seem more dynamic. Very good Content👍🏽
The average person couldn't afford it in three or four lifetimes of working and saving while not spending any of their earnings on anything other than this crappy houseboat.
I used to be in a specialty industry for unique construction projects for years, and I cringed when I saw that the access doors to the escape hatch were open out, a thing that can be a little hard to do with water rushing in. But it also raises another similar concern, does the other room have such amenities?
@@kiriyomase6209 The hatch does open out, which would be unforgivable if it opened in. The problem is the doors to the hatch room pull open into the main bedroom rather than pushing into the hatch room. As you correctly outlined, if water was rushing in, there is a chance that the pressure will be too much to pull open the doors to the hatch room itself, making the hatch at the top of the ladder completely useless since you would be unable to get into the hatch room. Pushing the doors into the hatch room from the main bedroom should be how it works.
I would feel claustrophobic down in the bedrooms. Although it’s a great idea to have a view below the ocean it looks like a large aquarium to me and image waking up to divers at your windows or a shark! Wouldn’t that be something else!
It does look like an aquarium, I think it might be enclosed, looks like the color of a swimming pool. If it was open water, what prevents the fish from swimming away? If that makes you claustrophobic, don't go on a regular yacht. They have underwater bedrooms too, but no giant windows.
Imagine you wake up in the middle of the night, not remembering that you are sleeping in a bedroom below water, and see a shark just staring right at you through the window.
20 million for 4,000 sq ft is rediculous!! That home could be built in the US for less than 1/2. A real yacht for the price is soo much better! Cute tour!
I was under the impression that the world islands was a failed project because of the sheer amount of building cost and the cost of connecting it to the grid. I could be wrong so please correct me if I am. One more thing is the practicality of this house. Its quite fragile looking and I wonder how many people would invest in this.
Over the years, I've thought it would be cool to live on a boat instead of a house on land. Of course it would be awesome in my opinion to have bedrooms under the water. What about big fish, like sharks ? I just came across this, and am so glad I did too. I don't have deep pockets, lol like these people do, but I'm enjoying what I'm seeing. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
They are incredible, I toured the world islands and the floating seahorse during my last visit to Dubai. Nice to visit but way too expensive for what they are
When I saw a bedroom at 7:44, my first guess was this is a movie theater. Such an amazing picture in movie about nature, sea or something like that. I was overwhelmed when I realised it was a real picture of ocean itself. Having opportunity to see these kinds of views first-hand is something mind-boggling.
This is actually so cool, a little pricey but wow 😍 I could have so much peace and quiet there, and just sit back and take in the views while listening to my music, bliss 😌 Great video guys, thank you 😊
Where I'm from there is a fenced off area of the city that only residents are allowed in (but taxes from everyone in the city pay for and this causes a lot of tension between regular residents and residents from the rich area). Nearly all of them have yachts and houseboats like this parked at the back of their houses on the canals. Recently we had a massive storm and less than a dozen boats out of maybe 300 survived. It was incredibly satisfying to watch so many of them panic as their extravagant purchases smash together and sink.
They explain in the video that they have their own coral farms and "planted" the coral you see outside the windows. I cant say anything for what the ocean floor looked like before all the building began in Dubai though.
It is, they can’t just get normal sand from the desert and use that. They have to pump sand from the bottom of the ocean which kills sea life at the bottom
This is more like a temporary, small get away place. It’s cute and has potential. The room needs a bed not a couch 🤨 I like the underwater room view, that’s interesting and romantic.
@Zionism is the cancer Of mankind Um.. okay..? I’m pretty sure a lot of people can’t afford it. I’m not petty and childish, so have a good day. May God bless you.

This is one of my favorite videos you have done so far! Wow, imagine having your own coral reef! I wish that they had let you show at least one bed in the way it would look unfolded, and ready for sleep. But other than that - amazing
Imagine making up that bed every morning. But of course, the housekeeper would do that. Wait, the housekeeper would have to live there because it's on the water. Or that person would have to charter a boat to get to work. But the up side of that is probably fewer parties to have to clean up after. Fewer visitors. Parking would not be a problem, but would be replaced by having to get a row-boat to usher visitors to and from their yachts. Worries I will never have. People who have the money to be able to live like that, have too much money.
I'm really confused about "the views" being a selling point🤔 the majority of what is surrounding you is other grey constructions sights on land or other "one of a kind" floating homes right across from you. You're then left with the sandbank and a half-decent distant view of the skyline. The view is about as impressive as that camper kitchen
exactly. what's with the constitution and cranes and other floating boats and cant imagine some little boats comin around ya to snoop not sure this is private to enjoy yet alone appealing

20 Million for a Camping Kitchen ? WTF
🤦♀️ for that kind of space and price a chef kitchen would be more appropriate
i think it's 20 milion AED, not USD. The price in usd is in the title
20 million AED you people are so kicks
The underwater view is very stunning and beautiful showcase nature . Imagine to sleep in the coach while in the underwater, JUST WOW AND OMG.
This feels claustrophobic. Like a cross between a seaside villa you can't walk away from, and a yacht stuck out to sea. Also the sea floor beyond those bits of artificial coral is dead thanks to the island projects, so you'll get tired of looking at that small school of fish pretty quickly.
That’s assuming a hurricane doesn’t destroy your “villa” first.
thanks for the input!
what a location and beautiful background and sand, clear skies, and nice floating villa i like it.
Glad you like it!
Not to mention the insurance cost
Yea, I heard it was both a financial and environmental disaster. All that oil money had to go somewhere apparently.
I was wondering about that too, what happens to the waste water? Can't imagine it's going to a waste treatment plant.
@@susanburke3722 from what i read they bulit the land masses and then began to worry about all the other amenities... but the design alone was so monstrously inapt they didnt even get that far before having to back pedal through an environmental disaster

I used to be in a specialty industry for unique construction projects for years, and I cringed when I saw that the access doors to the escape hatch were open out, a thing that can be a little hard to do with water rushing in. But it also raises another similar concern, does the other room have such amenities?
wouldn't it be harder to open if the room was filled to the brim and you had to open the hatch inwards fighting the water pressure?
@@kiriyomase6209 The hatch does open out, which would be unforgivable if it opened in. The problem is the doors to the hatch room pull open into the main bedroom rather than pushing into the hatch room.
As you correctly outlined, if water was rushing in, there is a chance that the pressure will be too much to pull open the doors to the hatch room itself, making the hatch at the top of the ladder completely useless since you would be unable to get into the hatch room.
Pushing the doors into the hatch room from the main bedroom should be how it works.
@@kevoric yea I realized that afterwards... (facepalm)

No sharks lol imagine the horror 😂
They should have a solid chrome bar to hold onto, so none falls in the water, or a long rail with grip on it for safety
It is stagnant water.......no motion, no waves......the wind pushes it around a little......this is a floating houseboat not a sailing vessel.
@@linanicolia1363 You just said all that like there’s still not a possibility of someone just falling in.

I would feel claustrophobic down in the bedrooms. Although it’s a great idea to have a view below the ocean it looks like a large aquarium to me and image waking up to divers at your windows or a shark! Wouldn’t that be something else!
there are curtains to pull in front of the view for privacy if you look carefully.
It does look like an aquarium, I think it might be enclosed, looks like the color of a swimming pool. If it was open water, what prevents the fish from swimming away? If that makes you claustrophobic, don't go on a regular yacht. They have underwater bedrooms too, but no giant windows.
Think I would prefer sharks to underwater peeping tom's
I agree imagine running for the escape hatch...and it doesn't open.. no way not for me..where does washroom waste go..?
@@iaof2012 🥴
Imagine you wake up in the middle of the night, not remembering that you are sleeping in a bedroom below water, and see a shark just staring right at you through the window.

going to school by a boat+ taking the bus+ walking = AdVenTuRe 😍
That would be a cool Airbnb to stay at, don't even wanna think about how much it would cost per night...
I was under the impression that the world islands was a failed project because of the sheer amount of building cost and the cost of connecting it to the grid. I could be wrong so please correct me if I am.
One more thing is the practicality of this house. Its quite fragile looking and I wonder how many people would invest in this.
the slaves work for free what cost? lol

glad you like the property and video!
I shouldn't have laughed on the last part but i did.

I can't help but wonder the amount of damages something like this and the man made islands have done to the oceanic life, reefs, and corals.
**sigh**
Are those your only concerns life?
@@TheAdventureLog Do you really believe they are doing good to the environment?

In Holland we have the 'woonboot'...for maybe the last 100 years or more
This is one of my favorite videos you have done so far! Wow, imagine having your own coral reef! I wish that they had let you show at least one bed in the way it would look unfolded, and ready for sleep. But other than that - amazing
Maybe one day!
I'd like to know where the fresh drinking water comes from and where the human waste goes? Does it move in a storm? It's vastly over priced.
Man listen all I need is a recording studio & you'll never hear from me again...👑✨👑
