Thanks for your video. Initially I thought that your normcore screen had too much channelling, the other one does not have. I have the same normcore puck screen and never too happy with that. There are other puck screens which are better I think. I also noticed that both of the puck screens you used are quite thick. I get better results for the super thin ones. Anyway, good video , keep it on.
For me, $60 will never be worth it for a dang mesh screen. What a slap in the face from B Plus. I bought my lightly used, mint condition 1Zpresso J-Max grinder for $90 and my Breville Bambino for $140. A tiny mesh circle smaller than an oreo is a waste of money at that price 😂😂
I've never used paper so I really don't have any basis to comment.. but I would think it would probably be more restrictive when under pressure than the puck screen. Remember the puck screen goes on top of the grounds, not under them

Great video, I enjoyed watching
thanks, it was a slow day in the neighborhood... LOL
I live in China and I bought one for 4 dollars and it’s great. It’s actually better than the 2 you have there. Things are cheaper here.
Lol nice troll

i paid $800 for my grinder... so I guess its all relative.
Nice job!
I've got one from China for $3, works great too.
Looks like it came out faster because of channelling therefore puck prep maybe.
Well since then I have tried a few other times and it's just the nature of the weave of the screen apparently
@KimMoonbmwmoonie yeh surely there would be different flow rates between them. The weave patterns would change the restriction.
What about paper? It seems to be the ultimate cause the pores are even smaller than ANY metal screen.

@KimMoonbmwmoonie yes, ci realize that. Many YT vids say paper on top is the way
@@cliffcox7643 okay... Then do that
I dont have a espresso machine and since you're testing maybe you can.. @@KimMoonbmwmoonie
@@cliffcox7643 I'll put something together. Any recommendations?
Consistency is overrated. Variation makes life more interesting and the poorly executed shots just make you appreciate the good ones even more.
Some people claim the Normcor screen rusts.
I used mine for over a year and it never did.
