I’m so glad there’s so many people talking about Cal’s weird movement, hopefully they will hear us and patch it!
Glad you can actually use dual lightsabers! Also, you can use force grip to lift your enemies, in the old game you could only push or pull.
You can grip stormtroopers in FO
I think the animations and combat look clunky in the same way as the first one, I didn't really notice how bad it was until I played games like sekiro
Its because sekiro allows a few of your combo string to play out while the enemy just deflects, for some reason in fallen order enemies meet your attack mid combo so it looks like Cal is awkwardly spamming the same attack until they parry. It's weird because we are given animations for out combat strings but when we're actually fighting it doesn't playout we just get awkward wacks. Sadly I saw it in the new trailer.
man i really wanna play those games but I just can’t ever get past the first sections because it’s so challenging
@@nateislate5551yeah I think also for ghost of Tsushima style game it backfires to have storm troopers who stand in the same spot firing blaster bolts the speed of a nerf bullets ….the enemies simply don’t match the combat ….for example ghost of pretty much has the same combat system but the difference is you fight mainly close combat and have to break defenses where in fallen order the only trooper it was fun to fight was the one with different staffs because you had to break their defense.
I think they should release a training ground demo. Let us get in there and fight to get the feel for it before the release.
At first, I wasn't sure if the first game was for me (I had it for about two years). I tried it a few times and just didn't get into it. When this new Jedi Survivor game was announced I said let me try Fallen Order again and I finally got into it. Actually, I really loved it and can't wait for Jedi Survivor to come out.
Hope they can fix his walking animation during those extra 6 weeks. He walks on flat surface the same way he runs or walks uphill (bent knees)
I’m really hoping to see some new combat moves like sliding with a lightsaber to take out an enemies legs for example
We have to remember that they did originally delay the game to refine bugs and just overall improve the game. So my guess is they gave IGN the greenlight to release gameplay of its current state, and see how people think and go off of that with their improvements.
Hopefully they fix his weird movement, but it's not a make or break for me. Then again, I may just be coping, I already preordered...

I imagine the running is one of the things getting fixed up with the delay

Need to improve animations of running and jumping. Also enemies, I hope would be more difficult because if you've completed Jedi Grandmaster before, and now you get even more force powers, then this game would feel easy.
Can’t agree more with the animations of running, I also think Cal looks like he got spaghetti arms, they should look at the running animations in Force unleashed for inspiration, that game nailed the badass lightsaber run, or even Swtor

Alright so the only reason they released the game play was because they were under agreement with IGN to do so. The game IS finished however March is too packed with starwars and they need to spread it out to hold audience interest.

5:00 Cal was able to slow time in the first game too. What did you mean by new mechanic, am I missing something?
He could only slow specific enemies/objects

@@neosonixyz wasn’t there a skill in the first game that allowed you to slow all the enemies around you? If I remember correctly it was triggered by holding RB

I thought the BB8 chest animation was really charming but maybe after the first 5 times we can cut that out.

The only thing I did not like about the first game is that u could only use two lightsabers for one move and that ther was no fast travel but this one has it
They need to add some baggier clothing to hide Ca’ls goofy movement, it’s the only thing that makes me dislike playing as Cal🙃
Agreed and I get the dismemberment thing It just bugs me that me can literally mutilate innocent animals but not humans haha like is there a line somewhere with lightsaber violence?

Combat still looks amazingly underwhelming to me. I wish they'd take a page out of Jedi Academy for their new series

I am confused with what people were expecting. It is a sequel, it is going to be very much a like the first but expanded and richer. The story looks different and interesting. A lot of the complaints I have heard are pretty silly to be honest.
people whine about everything. some people were whining about how hogwarts legacy map isn’t big enough or that the houses don’t have different storylines lmao

Idk this gameplay doesn’t deserve the title „amazing“ it looks really casual. The run is goofy af and also the moves seem really scuffed. I think the first game looks better. Also you can’t really cut stuff like droids or monsters, so there isn’t even a new engine.
tbh i was disappointed when i saw this. The gameplay looks identical with some new moves. The levels look like the illusion of being more open, and the platforming looks tedious as ever. This went from a day 1 buy to a "wait for sale" in my book
Well they could still change a few minor problems, remember how different fallen order’s pre-release build looked from it’s post counterpart. I have faith that Survivor is gonna honor Fallen order and increase the potential of this series.
The old gameplay was still good though.
I feel like the textures and lighting are better because of the new game engine and new take down moves. Just stop complaining

Don’t fix what isn’t broken
I'm not impressed this is more of the same, the lightsaber combat still stiff clunky slow and repetitive, the world's loom empty, Disney star wars has no lore no depth, we are probably going to be fighting storm troopers and creatures all game long until the last boss fight, they saw cal kestis got more powerful? For me he still as weak as before, his force push still feels Padawan like.

Honestly, Cal probably isn't at the level of a properly trained Jedi Knight. He never finished his Padawan training and then went five years not using the Force. It's a miracle he actually survived the events of JFO. Even in Survivor, it'll have only been five years he's been properly reconnected to the Force and presumably training, but unless Cere took a more direct hand in that training, it will have all been self-taught skills he's worked on.
Admittedly, a lot of Luke's skills were honed by his own self training, though of course he had Obi-Wan and Yoda give him some training too, but Luke is a Skywalker and incredibly gifted. We don't know exactly how much potential Cal has.
@@sword_of_dusk it has been 5 years since the last game and you are going to tell me his force push still Padawan level, he can't use force jump, force Valor or force speed. Which are basic abilities to the jedi.
This game is going to suck like the 1st one🤦♂️🗑️
I demand a total ground up remake of the force unleashed and most importantly keep starkiller the same and don't nerf him and make it next gen only (unreal 5) maxed out
