The attention to subtle animations is what makes an OS feel polished and usually Android phones doesn’t have that to the same extent as iPhones. So it’s a welcome change.
Only clowns and little kid (mentally) care about the "animations". The actual usability, performance and battery life are what matters... However, it seems that most people in the smartphone market are fucking clowns...
Still what i hate on miui is the fact that they give no option of always showing charge animation. Especially with these 50w+ super fast charging speeds. Good and smooth animation, but the screen turns off after few seconds 😢

Why is no one who has access to HyperOS checking if they can use gestures with 3rd party launchers? It's like the biggest complaint of Miui yet no one is checking this.

The thing that prevent me to update to hyperos is the smooth of MIUI that could be better than this new os What's your opinions guys? And this thing could affect on the experience of your daily use?
I'm using miui 14 on 12t, layout in the recent apps (background app) section exactly like hyperos. You also can change it between the two. My calculator app does have the double arrow to float also can change opacity, just don't have the layout option but you can change it manually by dragging the corner. What I hate from Miui is the bad delivery of update. feature it's all over the place, some phone have this and that but other don't (exactly the same model and region and same latest update). The developer don't seem to care about it, let alone to fix it. It's like they just throw the update and forget. Not to mention how much features they cut from global rom to region rom. I don't get it, it's literally the same exact phone. If you want to fully and truly experience miui you should get the China version (or custom rom) .
In HyperOS can you 1) use a third party launcher like Nova? and 2) if yes, can you use gesture control when using a third party launcher? Currently, you can't. Did they fix this? I had the mi9 lite and i LOVED it. But then i found out that in newer versions of miui, you can't use gestrures when using a third party launcher. This was a clear deal breaker for me, so I got a samsung phone... I really want my next phone to be a xiaomi because i liked it better, but I can't live without the customization of nova launcher...
@@XjohnjohnX88 That's really disappointing indeed. Unless they fix this, I'm not even considering a xiaomi phone.... And I was a bit of a fanboy, bought a mi band, a mi smart scale, mi bulbs and led strip...
For me I prefer the new charging design. Very straightforward. More often than not I find the MIUI 14 charging animation to be something extra and the percentage isn't actually accurate.
I wish they add features presented in some launchers such as Microsoft Launcher which has a widget screen, shortuctus, home screen app drawer and lots of customization settings, the only drawside is that the 2 apps on screen doesn't work (not the one through sidebar, but the one from the menu)
I always hated those animations in MIUI HyperOS really impressed me and I may give up on selling my phone if it's good in the parts I hate then I will continue to use my phone.
I don't have time to configure my phone. Why can't they going some simple features and configurations. Honestly, 90% of features I won't use it or I forgotten when I used them.... And can't find them.
If Xiaomi, and other brands, wants to claim something is faster and more optimized, especially software, they should be able to run on older and/or weaker, yet still capable hardware.
Agreed. Animations look much smoother in miui 14. The transition is perfect. In hyperos, it does show the transition layer for some apps like Dialer and browser. Kinda disappointed
cutting out characters using artificial intelligence and other functions with image processing are available, for example, in Poco F3 on MIUI 14. and probably Xiaomi 13 is also there, you just have to find it.
I don't trust it yet, it's more like they couldn't bring anything visually new to miui 15 so they renamed it to be hyper os and we have lower expectations in terms of visual changes and hoping under the hood improvements.
