- I purchased the Xiaomi 14 during my recent trip to Hong Kong and I've used this phone as my daily driver for a little more than a week now. I've been really enjoying the experience, especially the camera performance, so I wanted to a proper real-world test/vlog on a busy Friday day off. @@kimreneouk9678 Why do you think it has to break? I had two oneplus phones and I dropped them on the floor countless times, I have 8T more than 3 years already and it works better than when I got it. If it were to break, I would just go to any gsm repair shop where I live.

Damn the xiaomi has been stepping up in the camera department. My only gripe is the software
it's alright, just need to use it a bit longer to get used to it, samsung always release exynos version of their S series here, that's why I prefer xiaomi with "meh" software compared to great UI with shitty chipset
You could always flash a custom ROM like Pixel Experience and problem solved

I'm deciding between Samsung S24+ and Xiaomi 14, which one would you recommend? I'm looking for a great phone camera that produces nice light and not over-saturated photos, with a lovely bokeh. I've got a Samsung s10 and a Huawei p40pro and although the s10 has better camera quality, I tend to edit my photos a lot to remove that annoying yellow tint. Whilst Huawei produces photos with better softer colours.

@@gautamprikshit1 Leica partnership is not about accurate skin tone. Thay are emulating the film & nostalgic feel. It will not have the accurate skintones instead will have filmic look.

ive had my xiaomi 14 for about 2 weeks. battery drain is definitely a thing on this phone. it drain about 5-10% overnight on standby. standby isnt exactly the best. wish they fixed it in a future update.
And it should not be the cou given 8g3 is supposed to be 3n3rgy efficient. And my 8g2 s23 ultra drains 1% over night. So it's the software.
Turn off notifications and WIFI before you sleep, it drains like only 5% on Mi 9
One can use do not disturb at night and sleep or grey mode. Like samsung. Should work .

Great test.. How does the matte black glass back feel? See so many reviews complaining about how slippery the glossy glass back is..
Thanks for watching! It's definitely not the grippiest but I wouldn't say it's slippery either. The frame shape and material makes the phone easy to grip imo
@@hoyoungwon that makes me fairly certain that the matte has more grip than the glossy back (as everyone with glossy back seems to make a big deal out of how slippery it is).. Just have to make a decision to jump on the X14 or wait to see what Asus does to it's Zenfone lineup this year..

No, the display refresh rate is dynamic and does frequently drop down when needed and in certain apps (UA-cam)

Xiaomi 14 definitely is a full day phone for me (especially during work days), but I do carry around a portable charger just in case even though I haven't had to use it yet. But yes, I think the battery life and performance are more than good enough for students!

Okay, the leica filter is good, but I stick with my i15 and s23fe, i've been using xiaomi flagship since mi3 till 13 pro, you know what? the notification bug is sitll there after all this years, even if you lock the app running in the background, turn off the batterry optimization, if you can deal with the ton's of buggy software, go for it, the camera is good for the price.
were the selfie shots taken by Xiaomi 14 as well?

But I'm guesstimating it to be about 5 hrs on average.

Hyper OS doesn't provide SOT within the settings. But I'm guesstimating about 4 hours during this day. On average, I get about 5hrs SOT

after 2 week i use it.. battery fast charging is not work as a advertising. 😢. it take more than 50 minutes to full charge from 30% to hundred..
