I am using Xiaomi phones for 5 years now, I can say that Default apps on the hyperos feel very smooth and quick, but it still need atleast 1 year of updates to polish the system, Still need them to revamp the control center.

Have you encountered notification delay on HyperOS? I recently purchased POCO F5 Chinese variant with HyperOS, notifications on apps are delay such as messenger

I use Xiaomi device, just recently got this update. It's very good, but I expected some more visual changes.
May I ask if you've encountered notification delay on HyperOS?
I wish you could do the same especially for Chinese variant devices. Phones with OriginOS or ColorOS for example. I feel like getting a look at what Origin OS as a CN exclusive skin is interesting

Frankly speaking this HyperOS is not bad at all. I'm using it on my Xiaomi 14 and it's super smooth, bugs free. Just needs some organization in the settings as I'm for example finding screen timeout in lockscreen section, etc... Otherwise it's good.

You shoud review the tablet version, things are unique there as Xiaomi takes a different approach to desktop mode.
I got the HyperOS update two days ago and came here to see what's changed and how different it is from MIUI. Just like you said "Xiaomi could've called it MIUI 15 and nobody would've batted an eye"! Although, I really like how they changed the font settings/styles! Still eager to see how HyperOS will evolve in the future!
I just got the update last night and I honestly hate how most the features that it removed is what I liked
It even removed the charge animation
Or the gravity in the storage bar in settings

Hi, can we swap the Control Center and Notification shade swipe gestures on hyperOS? For example, if I swipe down from the right, it should show the Notification shade, and if I swipe down from the left, it should open the Control Center.

Are the features in MiUI different in devices ? Many of the stuff you showed here, which you say is already in MiUI , i cant do / find in my Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5g. Why is that ? I thought MiUI is MiUI ? Or in this case HyperOS.

Hello.i have poco f5 pro hyper os.. how i can change icons to square like yours??
Not sure if it's just my phone or the OS itself but I am missing the stack media player either on lockscreen or notification tray.
In a12 and a13, i can scroll which media player i want to play ( like YT music then Spotify or UA-cam) as long as it is in background.
need littlebit of polish, maybe will come on hyperos2.0

Nowadays people changes some aspects of UI and UX here and there above the android kernel and call it a "new OS". How much boring.

How to check for new update? After update to the latest version i could not find update software
One thing that isn't mentioned, which I feel is rather important is that hyperOS blocks the usage of some (or all, not sure) launchers, or restricts them at least so they can't run properly. As a user that grew accustomed to the niagara launcher, finding out it doesn't work properly on this UI was very disappointing and it's mentioned nowhere.
I feel at least in videos like this it should be mentioned

How about the always on display is fix now.
Because I need to turn on the developer mode to turn of the MUI settings so that my always on display will work.
Fantastic major update (from fluid system app performance and everyday scrolling/switching apps), sans standby battery performance.
The fact the People loved miui due to its amazing features but slowly they are removing all the best features like You can't use gestures on 3rd party launchers anymore, UA-cam background play is now disabled. I moved to Nothing Phone and loving the software.
MIUI removing YT background play wasn't their fault, UA-cam explicitly forced them to remove it (but Asus phones still has it 😂)
Data usage bar missing, is there any workaround to enable it...
I am a Xiaomi user i was a little bit tired from MIUI bugs but Hyper OS is super smooth & excellent features like Multi window charging animation , lock screen best customization ,Nice Always on and much more stuff. Now i am satisfied with the Operating system

I received the update on my redmi note 13pro 4g and strangely I don't have the MAGAZINE lock style available while even older versions like the redmi note 12pro or 11pro have it, not even it's disappointing for someone like me sensitive to the visual, it's my first xiaomi and I'm already thinking of going back to Samsung
Does this update effected battery?
It's missing the work mode toggle on the ctrl center that I needed the most on my phone. Now Im just stuck with turning off notifications and keep the work apps running on background -_-

I miss the Miui control panel I wish we could choose which we want to use. I dont know half of the functions of the icons so now I will have to memorize them all
Hyper OS is not the same on low-, mid-, and high-end Xiaomi phones since their functions vary according to their different versions.
HyperOS don't need to swipe from the top to bottom.. you can easily swipe in the middle of the screen to show notification center and control center.

Was It me Or does the latest update made the "power button" of My device got a short delay/almost 1 sec before turning off...
And also, I dunno if the update made my phone go frequent/sometimes stuttering on mainscreen or homescreen...

Every hyperos reviewer doesn't notice the new 3 dots on floating window just like on ipad where there are several docking options.
My Note 13 5G received the update today. Don't see anything changed accept the weather app and some animations and visuals.
There should be a xiaomi range with stock android option. Just like they did with A series.

Why is my Xiaomi note 11S after hyper update os is getting quite laggy than before? It automatically disconnects to the wifi that it's linked in and I suddenly get offline. Is it's only my phone problem or what?
Does anybody know: can't you set the screen resolution lower on the Xiaomi 13T because its not in the software ?

You can't really do that on the F3 tho. It is present only on QHD screens and up and F3 is only FHD. Maybe in game turbo you can set render resolution to 720p
How is it compete with Harmony OS?
Hyper OS is for IOT Devices and the EV not just phone only
It's light and fluid but does have some bugs so hope they'll fix them soon
try to format your phone after the update so you can have a fresh hyperos installed in your phone

Are the ads still there though? The thing i hate about xiaomi phones are the ads integrated between system apps
Tab xiaomi and Xiaomi redmi are ad free. Hopefully they implement no ads

the "hearing with screen off" is removed from MIUI in this hyper OS. unfortunately
That isn't related to HyperOS. This has been removed from toolbox on miui as well. As I understand it UA-cam pressured Xiaomi to remove it.
@@andrewchen9097 i have my 13T and it has the feature. but after 1st update (this hyperOS) the feature is removed. But yeah finally UA-cam know this feature.

There are so many bugs in HyperOS. NETWORK SPEED is very slower than in MIUI 14. And also there is no any settings for change or make new APNs....

Yeah, new Xiaomi 14 models and even some Poco phones have them. It will be rolling out for the applicables over the next few months
They have tweeted the roll out schedule for this year (at least until June)

The rest of the skins are kinda boring and very similar to each other . Xiaomi HyperOS is kinda the bridge between android and ios ui

Really enjoying the Xiaomi 14 so far. Really wish they would allow to swap sides of the notifications and control panel. Many times a day I swipe for the notifications only to drag down the control panel instead.
Then just swipe right to move to notification panel 🤷🏽♂️

I kind of don't like the notification panel. now it clips through navigation menu which is not ideal.
I see that xiaomi still has removed the function of listing to podcasts with the screen turned off from the video toolbox the control centre has a music widget cant be changed for the music player you are using and only a few themes work on hyper os I've got the redmi note 10 pro and I'm glad I can still listen to a podcast with the screen off and all my themes work and hyper os only works on certain phones so no thanks my next phone is going to be the nothing phone 2A
It seems Google pressured them to remove the feature since it collided with UA-cam premium's screen off play.

After the last update to HyperOS fingerprint sensor has disaperared from the settings and the sensor does not work. I am using a Xiaomi mi 11 lite. Anyone got the same problem? Is this a glitch? Appreciate any help. Thanks.
They say it looks like iOS aesthetically because Apple doesn't even dream of having half the functions. And imagine if Apple copied Xiaomi's hardware, it would have a device that's truly excellent.

This HyperOS is all but hyper, it's full of bugs, I regret updating from miui14 on my poco f5

I dont like it too much cuz now i cant use floating window in games and i cant use internet speed meter app. There is no internet speed meter notification if there any another notification.
