It is disappointing that this great performance of these works by the brilliant Ligeti has so few views. It is really entertaining and fascinating music. Not "difficult" listening
To be honest....these are all extremely hard concertos to even play one by one in different occasions.. HOW DID THEY PULL THIS THROUGH?? that is so amazing...
All are very masterful interpretations... BUT THE PIANO CONCERTO!! Its so well meshed together and tight and the orchestration is all so easy to hear. favorite performance of the first movement by far.
Amazing performance, so great! Just one question: Piano concerto, 1st movement, bars 28, 29, 30, piano, deep repeated note, why is Sébastien Vichard playin Bb1 instead of A? Doesn't look like he did it by accident.
I recently saw the film "where are you going on holiday" where A. Sordi plays in the episode on "intelligent holidays" and this seems to be the same kind of music, the composer is of Jewish origin and I won't add anything else otherwise JT censors

Difficult
This music is transcendently beautiful! So many layers, so intricately woven!❤

Bravo à tous

Violin Concerto: 23:39
C'était un plaisir immense d'être présent. Merci pour cette soirée exceptionnelle.
This is such a wonderful performance!!
incredible
Music full of genius as Ligeti himself was.
Wonderful performances of these masterpieces by one of the twentieth century’s most innovative composers. Bravo!
Merci cher EIC. J'étais présent ce jour-là et c'est un excellent souvenir (comme tous les moments passés avec vous)
I would have liked to be there!
Wonderful to be Abel to hear these concertos.... thank you so much.
so good ...
That groove at 1:06 is just so good.
7:32 chill beats to study/relax to
xD
I love the pianist's little smirk right after the chord lol
Insane program to try and tackle
UA-cam is so Bush League. To place commercial breaks within this wonderful symphony. Lame lame lame.
Excelente
What’s here is stunning, but please! It should be titled “excerpts” or “selected movements” from the four concertos.

It is actually supposed to be Bb, or rather, A#. There's 5 sharps in the left hand. He is however playing it in the wrong octave.
You are of course right, I forgot the 5 sharps..@@tesseract5421

They sometimes play Ligeti on Savage Electric:
La musique,du Faso est une source intarissable de douceurs.
Elle permet de plonger au plus profond de soi et simultanément d'entrer en résonance avec son prochain, Yé Lassina Coulibaly

Amazing! Are you going to upload the complete concertos someday, especially the Hamburg Concerto?
One more time the same bs. The 20th century schoenbergian avant-garde was a total musical failure.
You can cry in your dogmatic 18th century idea...
This literally has nothing to do with schoenberg
