I've recently come out of cranial surgery to remove a very large tumor, the size of a cricket ball.
Prior to surgery I was advised to have my 'will' done... I thought I would never have the pleasure of such beautiful music again. But fortunately the surgical team had success.
Congratulations!!! That's beautiful to hear!
God bless you Dario.
I am not even remotely religious. But reading this while listening to Bach inspires this:
God Bless You and Keep You, Dario! And may you listen to hours and hours of more such beautiful, awe-inspiring music.
Thank God! Wish you all the best

Bach lives forever. My dad held Bach music up to my mother's stomach every single day of her pregnancy, and I was born in 1978 with music before speaking. Grew up playing the flute thanks to Bach and majored in music education thanks to Bach. It lives on in our memories. Forever.
😊❤ Extraordinary experience the one of yours and your family.... Similar thing I did with my son, during pregnancy. Learn to love Bach's music, thanks to a friend from college, who was a pianist and played the saxophone as well and knew the whole work of Bach's. We have had Bach's music at home for over 30 years.

The best thing about Bach is that it never feels like the music is trying to invoke any specific emotional response. His work is cold, mathematical and seems disinterested in the human condition which makes it feel ethereal...
Exactly what I thought, Thank you
cannot agreed more
the musicians seem so involved; many short passages have obvious crescendos and decrescendos; intentional art
Bach was religious. "Cold and mathematical" don't think so, perhaps the notes may seem so
After a long day at work, I come home, close my eyes for few moments and just listen J.S. Bach violin concertos. It's such an immense pleasure.

is there any particular reason you call it celestial music?im just super curious
cause i have heard this way of saying somewhere
and it is only described when it actually resonates with the earth or sth
@@wanderingpalace The reason I call it celestial music is that it makes the faithful lift up their hearts and minds toward God and his abode. Bach’s music is thus a prayer. A very beautiful prayer indeed. Although Gregorian chant is par excellence the epitome of liturgical music. Regarding your concern, I do not know much about the particular way it resonates so as to induce the tranquil effect on the mind and body.

The genius of Bach is in a perfect matching harmony line, chord progressions, and melody. It all works so well together that I never get tired of listening to him. The music just takes over your thoughts and moves you in the right direction. Everything is logical and mathematically correct. A wonderful stylish performance, amazing sound balance.

That adagio at 3'52 can do almost anything.
It can make you take the right decision for something important, it can make your mental clarity better, it can make the world bearable, it can make you try to be a better person, it can make you heal something horrible that you have to live with, it can make you see something in yourself that you didn't know. It's a bit like what Jerry Lewis said (quote) : Adrenaline is wonderful. It covers pain. It covers dementia. It covers everything.

Bach, uno dei miei preferiti musicisti.
Un' armonia musicale unica.
Un grande genio.
Bach was a musical prodigy, like Beethoven, Handel, and all those other composers. To be able to envision a masterpiece before it was even written is testament to how intelligent people used to be before technology came along.
Musical instruments are tech also, very primal ones
well, people can still do it, it's not some kind of magic, just takes many hours of study and practice
@@San-lh8us Take Beethoven for example, he was deaf and yet he was able to create masterpieces that to this day are used in media.
@@jebbroham1776 well, it's not like that too, first of all, he was, indeed, a master of composition, i'm not denying that, but for most of his life he was not completely deaf, his hearing loss startet at his late twenties and progressed thorugh the years till almost the point of complete deafness, but honestly, from a certain point on, regarding composition, you don't need your hearing all that much once you have all the intervals internalized, you can "hear" them without the need to actually hearing the notes, that's just training, and then there's the fact that the media also uses musics that are not exactly "masterpieces" so having your music being used by the media doesn't actually mean all that much by itself, again, i'm not saying he wasn't good, he was really a great master, but all that came with many many hours of study and training, it's not some kind of magic like i said, there's still people doing as good work as beethoven did, they just are not as famous as him yet
Bach is quite above the other ones you quote; only Heinrich Schütz could be compared; Other composers seem so superficial
I used to hate classical music... I've found as you get older, you start seeing beauty in places you never stopped to look. This music is beautiful.
If the World hears you!
For many, maybe most, this is unfortunately not the case. Instead of maturing with age, their artistic sensibilities atrophy at some point, and music, for these people, are mostly a source of nostalgia for times past, or something to be consumed in a hurry like pop music -this instead of a means toward gaining a more transcendental perspective of life via a communication that appeals to the more spiritual aspects of our being.
Believe you. I was the same way.
used to listen to pop music till I was 20, then I just can't stand it anymore and started to realize how beautiful classical music is

Magic of languages.
Actually, “ Bach” means “ brook” in German. The German word for river is “ Fluss”.
@@valerietaylor9615 I never listened Fluss.
This concertos make my heart beat faster, stronger, lowder and happier! Bach never seizes to amaze me!
You might want to see a doctor about that. Especially since it's "lowder". Heart failure imminent.
so do I
Funny, to some people Bach's music is relaxing. To me it's rhythm and energy, like the joy of driving a little fast on a winding road: concentration and deep enjoyment.
What is not funny is that to some people driving a little fast on a winding road causes diziness and sea sick.
That's why music is universal yet individual. One can react one way or another to music. Some people say metal is "relaxing" while my heart skips 5 beats every time I try it.
I taught first grade. While the children were doing math and other work at their desks we listened to Bach. They loved it and so did I. It was kept quiet but there. We had the best of company.
you are a great teacher
I will always thank my mother for introducing myself into academic music. Such beauty should be taught to everyone.
I’m 12 years old and I listen to that kind of music every day.
Ling Ling hears you and says: Keep it up!
Yiyi Chen thanks:)
Good for you! You're downloading the highest genius into your young brain. That bodes well for your future!
@@SidLaw500 that makes no sense lmao, so someone who hears classical music since birth might be a 200 iq genius? not really
@@nemesisanje1679 Bach is the genius, downloading is just a figure of speech. Message to the youngster: it's good to surround yourself with smart people.
I have yet to listen to anything by Bach that I did not LOVE. The music is so rich and never boring. I'm not even big on classical music.
It Baroque. (Pun intended)
Melodies that inspire and are never forgotten or go out of style
Brilliant Classics köszönöm ezt az örökéletü Bach csodálatos zenéjét.
Magnificent. Bach is certainly one of the greatest genius humankind has ever produced.
