Phenomenal!!! Imagine that..acoustic guitars, no gimmicks...no special effects an amps....they put the majority of players to shame. Faster, crisper than most.
Noooo!! I’ve never seen anything like this! Absolutely mind blowing. Chuck all the positive and praiseworthy adjectives in the dictionary at these guys! Are they even human ?!
I did that after watching Tommy from about 20' a few years ago. Someone asked how many tricks I got off him? I said "NONE-He was Going TOO FAST"!!! What a great concert !
The older of us watching this are reminded of Friday Night in San Francisco when Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin and the late great Paco de Lucia took the crown for that sort of playing. This here is truly inspired from them but fresh and vibrant and as brilliant as can be. Exactly between inspiring and devastating. Go practice!
1:24 Dizzy Fingers 2:46 Gallopin' Guitar 5:30 Appel Indirect 8:50 Double Jeu 14:40 Working Man Blues * nice blues acoustic shredding, Stochelo playing blues that's interesting 22:23 Good Times Charlie's Got The Blues 28:25 For Sephora * oh that's great track - my favourite 35:24 Buchers Dance ENCORE (just two guitars imho that's even better - more space you can here leading one better in the mix): 43:25 Isn't She Lovely 48:19 I'll See You In My Dreams 53:40 Caravan THE END* whoa great show!
imagine being this good at anything...Been playing for around fifty years, and watching this makes me feel like I did as a kid, unable to fret an F chord properly. On another level from us mere mortals.
Me too. Started when I was around 15 around 1969. I could play Led Zep, Hendrix and all the rock. But when I came across Tommy. I had to find him. Which I did. We have met a few times over the years. He said, practice with just your thumb......... oh.... for ten years.. LOL. I am a pretty good finger picker. But this stuff, maybe at 1/4 speed. Stay at it...
Guess you've been 'down the rabbit hole' listening and researching Tommy, I was listening to him talking with his older brother Phil asking about how Chet was playing all the notes to a song, His dad said it was recording 'tricks' Tommy was sure he was playing them at the same time and he was figuring it out... From what time Chet's album was released, he must have been 10 years old at the time. Scary!
I bought this concert DVD 8 years ago, watched it over and over. Then I loaned it to a friend and never saw it again. Should've bought 2 copies. It was a limited-press run - I even contacted the European gentleman who owned the rights to the recording to enquire if I could purchase another but he replied due to certain circumstances there would be no more publishing or re-releases. It popped up on youtube years ago every now and again, but the audio wasn't tracked properly and about halfway thru, the audio was 10-20 seconds out of sync with the video. Anyways, thank you for sharing it. This is the "Friday Night in San Francisco" for the 21st Century.
Oh My GOD.....!!!!!!! Love and Respect - Vlatko Stefanovski , Tommy Emanuel , Stochelo Rosenberg.. The love that you have for the guitar! Thank you For these moments!
Thank you for telling me the names of the three. Since Al Di Meola, Paco de Lucía and John McLaughlin's Friday night in San Francisco Super Guitar Trio Live!
The Gods Of Guitar, mind blown. Vlatko has the most stand out sound with that Lowden and its big fat magnetic pickup. What a big appreciative crowd, hats off to the serbians.
Love Tommy Emanuel but just found this for the first time! Almost at a loss for words. So amazing! To have been there to watch and hear it would have been magical, something to remember. All three just fantastic.
The sound quality of Vlatko's guitar with the pickup in the soundhole cuts through SO much stronger and clearer than the external mics the other guys are using, wishing I could hear the brilliance of Stochelo's playing better
They played together for some time. As Tommy often played the drum bass and rhythm parts together , he usually took that roll in their performances........ but when it was his turn to shine, he didn’t let anyone down. Besides his toy guitar...... don’t know why he is not playing a Maton, but their guitars are always superior to Tommies Matons.
I’m seeing this for the first time tonight. They are truly amazing, I can not imagine being that good. If I could play 1/4 that well I die happy. On another note, this is how the real people of this world feel about each other, without the political BS going on today. Make music, not war!
My head came very close to exploding! What an impact Chet Atkins has had on the way we listen to guitar music today. First two songs, "Dizzy Fingers" and "Gallopin' Guitar" are both Chet classics! I'll give Django Reinhardt a little credit as well.
In the encyclopedia under "guitar players" It should show these guys... In case anyone is unclear on how it is supposed to sound. I have seen Mr. Emmanuel live a couple of times... he does not disappoint. In fact, each time he exceeded the already high expectations that I, of course, had. his humor and humility and general coolness were exceptional... peace.
Mesmerizing Musical Monsters I've also been playing for 50 years can we got to remember this incredible concentration level and technical prowess is Rarely achieved. These guys are like the Einstein's of Mathematics.. The Oppenheimers of nuclear physics.. They have become my guitars Death.. Hahaha
Its almost like beling transported back to the 1930s, when Django Reinhart was burning the placed down with other jazz musicians like Stephan Gappelli. Great job gentlemen!
The session of For Sephora must be the same one as on the just released King of Strings album.... unfortunate that little bit of feedback jumps in at around 30:34 here (2:15 on the album track).... sound crew must have had trouble with all those ambient mic's, I dunno'.... (it seems like the feedback kept creeping in a few times earlier in this track, but I don't notice it on the album, it must have been cleaned up a little). AMAZING SHOWS!!!!!
Слава Богу,что мы люди можем слушать и восхищаться музыкой,и слава Богу за музыку и за прекрасных музыкантов.
Qui sont les plus heureux ?
Ces merveilleux guitaristes lorsqu'ils jouaient à ce moment là ! En osmose !!
Indeed they are the Kings of Strings 👍💕
Wow! Vlatko Stefanovski is new to me, but definitely is right up there with Emmanuel.
Vlatko is a genius of guitar.
Anyone who plays guitar shouldn’t watch this! These gentlemen are geniuses at what they do.
The Kings of Strings ce titre se suffit à lui-même. Et quelle complicité amicale et musicale !!
I just love when we see 3 of the best playing together and just looking at eachother and smile, knowing, adjusting... this.. is art.
I did that after watching Tommy from about 20' a few years ago. Someone asked how many tricks I got off him? I said "NONE-He was Going TOO FAST"!!! What a great concert !
Thanks Tommy to introduce us to other top musicians
The older of us watching this are reminded of Friday Night in San Francisco when Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin and the late great Paco de Lucia took the crown for that sort of playing. I saw them but in Madrid (Spain). Still remembering them as if were yesterday
Vlatko Stefanovski... Macedonian father, Serbian mother... living in Skoplje, New Macedonia... a master of the guitar & a real nice dude!

Yes that goddam F!
Started at age 11 (1965). Still can't play like these guys. But I have the Ovation I bought in 1972 and it's been a good old friend.
@@LauSaili F7 was the killer for me!

Agree.. who came out on top??? Emmanuel was struggling with the other 2 greats.. he played like their apprentice...

Loved this and enjoyed your guitar playing jamming and improvising an hour on, thumbs up!!
Tommy's rhythm is always so tight!
This proves that lighting can strike more than once in the same spot. In fact, it just kept hitting for over an hour.
The music is fantastic, even better by watching them making it.
How would anyone learn how to move their fingers this fast and such great sounds? So impressive!
They are not human. 👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏
In the encyclopedia under "guitar players" It should show these guys... In case anyone is unclear on how it is supposed to sound.
