Thanks alot for making this happen , the engine back to the factory condition 👍 ready for next million miles .
Heck yeah!!
Very good video man.
thank you very much!
Ive been wanting to put a 2uz in my 350. This series has pretty much convinced me to give it a shot
I'm sure you've realized by now that you installed the spark plug tube seals on the valve cover upside down. If you don't fix it your spark plug tubes will fill up with oil very fast....
Hey thanks I'll look into it
Yeah he’s right. The taper should face the inside of the cover so they slip over the spark plug tubes without tearing.
Have shoe horned a 1uzfe vvti with link ecu, into my jet boat. Love it!
looks good! like the orange.
Thanks Freddy great videos
thank you!!
I could have sworn that the T mark on the cams lines up with the point that you have it at on the crank
Thank you very much for sharing this.
You're welcome!
1UZ is looking hot!
Thank you!!
Really LOVE this series. How much trouble do you think it would be to get this into a 1st gen 4runner?
Not that big a deal, lots of bolt on parts
Your timing procedure seems off, the marks you made are about 10* past the mark which is before the "T" I'm just curious did you have to re adjust this? Following along building a 1uz atm
Idk I followed the manual, and it runs 🤣
@@PoorManMods got it. I was following a video by Kelvin at cartunes. Looks like he's stays at TDC, I'm guessing the manual advancing the bottom past TDC is why the marks are further forward but who knows. I do prefer your content for what it's worth. More digestible and to the point. Thanks for the videos.
Did you have to do anything with the scissor cam gear ?
nope
Yo man. Was wondering if the parts would fit on a mon vvti 1uzfe from a 1992 sc400. Has 270k miles. Want to rebuild for power and swap trans aswell.
I honestly don't know, I'm not a UZ expert yet haha
Can u do a video on why you chose the vvti instead of the first version
yeah sure why not
@@PoorManMods thank you !!! I’m very curious as to why people don’t prefer the vvti, I mean I know they have weaker rods but can a vvti variant be better if built ?
@@dawsonlo6685 VVTI has better flowing heads and i mean more power out of the box and overall newer technology
@@dawsonlo6685 Yeah, if you're not going to add ridiculous amounts of boost, the vvti is a better starting point. This is especially true NA where the extra ~40hp and better power curve really pay off.
Around how much would you charge someone for a rebuild ?
I'm not a garage that works on customer vehicles so I can't answer that
Always change starter and knock sensor before put that intake back on to🤦🏾♂️
I had the starter rebuilt, I believe I said that in the video. The Spitronics ECU I'm using doesn't use the knock sensors.
