Mafia: Definitive Edition (2020) Chapter 5: Fair Play [1932] FULL Race on Classic Difficulty (PS5)

Almost 5 years ago, while playing Mafia: Definitive Edition, I completed this race on Classic Difficulty. Unfortunately, I did it via Chapter Select and not "new game," so I didn't get the Made Man achievement. I must really like punishment because after almost 5 years away, I started a new game, and I am finally going for the Made Man achievement and beating the entire game on Classic Difficulty. That means I have to see if I still have what it takes to beat the race again.
Chapter 5 is notorious for its ridiculous, complicated racing segment, much like the original game from 2002. If you watch this video and follow these tips, you, too, can make it through the race with your sanity intact after only 125 attempts.
*In areas of the track with grass, drive on it to help you, catch up to the other racers who adhere to the racetrack.
*Anticipate your turns and give yourself time to slow down. Otherwise, your racecar will spin out.
*Press X (A on Xbox) to ram. In this particular case, ramming helps you make corners to avoid spinning out.
*The race has scripted events where cars crash, so if you're in 2nd or 3rd place, you could get a major boost.
*Tap L2 (LT on Xbox) to help you slow down steadier
*Once you get in 1st place, don't get overconfident. Keep slowing down at corners and exercise caution. Sometimes, slow and steady does, in fact, win the race.
*If you're playing on a PS5, use your old Dualshock 4 controller if you have it. If you're like me, you will get frustrated. If you accidentally break your controller it's better to break an old one instead of the expensive Dualsense controller!
