Does the patch have a waxy material on the back that makes it adhere to the hat? I recently ordered patches and it has a waxy backing and I’m wondering if I need to additionally add something to it before I heat press it.

Usually, it has the waxy feeling gunk and it’s a film that you peel off and then the remaining sticky is the actual adhesive. Just make sure it’s not taking it all off when pulling or it will mess it up.
