It's crazy how minimalistic the PS5 is when you strip everything away, just a paper thin motherboard. It goes to show how far game consoles have come in the past 20 years or so.
Thanks for the video. My PS5 was shutting down all the time randomly. This helped that problem. Just take it slow and do not force anything to come out or go in
@@cassiemartell8386 you don’t need to replace anything. You probably need to clean the power supply in the PS5. I would recommend removing the fan first and then stick your phone in the fan hole to see if it’s dirty. You should be able to see the power supply. If it is filled with dust, you’re going to have to take it apart to clean the power supply
So is it actually safer to pull the fan connector by the wires? As long as I pinch all three cables? Honestly I tried pulling the connector with the tweezers, but they always slipped from the connector, I can't really pull it off with how people usually recommend.
i always use long nose pliers but do it gently just like shaking it till it is pulled off. but becareful, actually I'm experienced by removing the power supply in PS4. tweezers too weak to pull it
Hey I had a power outage while playing MLB The Show 24, PS5 died, TV and Monitor didnt, No beep or anything it just didnt turn on, I ordered a new PSU (checked it was the correct model, exact one so it cant be that) and it still wont turn on, any ideas on how i Can Fix it? Or is it dead?
@@luisggonzalezfernandez8421 could be a bad power supply you received or could be a mainboard issue. Before you throw in the towel check to make sure the power and eject button ribbon cable at the front is connected.

I got a PlayStation for the first time ever after having Xbox my whole life and I guess the storage expansion is an internal SD card or something as opposed to plugging in a USB hard drive like I did for my Xbox, but all the videos only mentioned the NORMAL PS5 with a disc drive so it was hard to follow anything. This is still nerve-wracking for me because I've NEVER taken a console apart so even taking the cover off is making me think I broke something constantly 😅
On the silver plate, I didn't have the white stickers holding the cables. Only these black foam stickers that broke after removing them. And I also don't have the wires connected to the Bluetooth chip either.
@fasttechvideo CFI-1115B. I watched your video since you're the only one who shows how to properly take off parts of the digital version. I'm trying to clean it out since it won't play ps5 games very well. It will just play them from anywhere between 5 and 10 minutes and then crash, but it streams tv shows/movies without any problems. Most people told me it is most likely an overheating issue with a lot of trapped dust balls in the heatsinks. It might be a hardware issue, but the said that was rare. It already looks very bad, lol. There is a lot of fuzz build all over my heatsinks. I've had my ps5 for a little over 2 years now, so it's definitely out of warranty and I haven't cleaned it since.

Hey quick question, does it mean I broke something or didnt put something back right if after doing this and putting it back together I have imput lag..its pretty bad imput lag as well.
So I have a huge issue. I disassemble my entire ps5, unscrew all screws and now that I put it back together I got 2 extra screws, one huge one and one small one. However all screws are in. I should mention that both are black so technically they belong outside. I have 2 on the back for the battery, I have 6 normal ones, 2 narrow, 2 huge ones and one silver one on the front. Plus the 4 for the fan. I keep disassembling it and put back together and still left with 2 screws. I feel like a goblin is messing with me or something
Same here 2 screws are left over the one for the fan and one on the bottom right side and they don’t go in because they touch the screws from the silver plate of the motherboard 😫

Well im glad i watched a different video explaining how to open the plates because the way you showed in the video is the incorrect way to do it. Thats probably how that poor person broke their plate hooks. You have to lift up and slide it to the left at the same time. Do not forcibly tear it open in a diagonal motion

Check the Antennas and make sure you have connected them.

@@Paul.y10 Use a Dremel or a saw to cut a new flat head line on the screw and then use a flat heat to remove it.

Thats probably how that poor person broke their plate hooks. You have to lift up and slide it to the left at the same time. Do not forcibly tear it open in a diagonal motion
@@WORM_FOOD93 I did that exact thing and got the other side off and managed to for them back on right I am missing one hook but it’s not to serious damage wise
