The mosque in Malaysia used to be simple with the rooftop looks like the normal Malay houses but in 19th century, the British used Moorish dome design as they like it and it has blended to the building of the local mosques and many government buildings until today. The surviving old mosque can be found in Kelantan (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kampung_Laut_Mosque) BTW, nice drone shots!

Yeah, some of the buildings could use a little fix up, but for the most part the ground are reasonably maintained. 7:40 No, domes are actually originated from Turkey, since they're the last of Islamic Empire, most modern mosques imitate their dome style mosques. And truly, domes aren't really related to Islam but Christian Orthodox buildings have domes long before Islam, it just that Muslims make it more extravagant. 18:00 That is the Dome of Rock in Jerusalem. It is where a rock hanging on air, the story about the rock want to follow Prophet Muhammad to the Heaven but stopped, not allowed to, so it just hanging in the air.
You know why mosques are either raised in height or has a tower? Its because during call for prayer, it reaches out to the community as far as you could hear it. The higher it is, the further you could hear the azan (call for prayer 5 times a day).

I wish our tourism department will put enough budget in maintaining the park. It have a potential to be one great park. I love this place the details on the structure really details and accurate.
Yeah, some of the buildings could use a little fix up, but for the most part the ground are reasonably maintained. I was really glad/impressed the signage was in 3 languages (Malay, Arabic [Jawi? not sure], and English. Sometimes, the wear and tear on the mini-mosques make them look more rustic and realistic. But I see your point about maintenance. Either way, we recommend going!

Can see your fascination for the mosques. A very informative and beautiful vlog.
Btw Travelgramers are waiting for you in Turkey..haha

Ive been there maybe 3 years ago but never know can go inside the dome of the rock..cool!
Thank you for showing us this place. Need to go there one of these days.

6:20 let me guess. It's the structure for internal air ventilation and thus natural cooling system inside. That structure somehow reminds me something i saw in abu dhabi long time ago.
