    This video shows you how to replace the variable valve timing solenoid in your 2002-2006 Honda CR-V. If the variable valve timing solenoid in your vehicle is stuck or clogged, causing your engine to not run properly, you may notice reduced fuel efficiency, sputtering, rough running or stalling in your engine.
    This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2002 Honda CR-V

    This is the vtec solenoid, NOT the variable valve timing solenoid.

    That's call a VTec Spool Valve.. The Variable Valve looks different and is not on the back of the block.

    What if the far left screw is stripped and ive tried using a special socket. Whats the easiest fix for that?

    symptoms when this part goes bad??

      For me, it put my car into LIMP mode. Would not allow me to exceed 3,000 RPM. It Feels like a governor kicks in once you reach 3000 rpm. Like a stutter in the engine.
