I feed my pup raw food, a premade barf-diet. He didn’t like the kibbles he got from the breeder, he ate it but not enough. Some days only half of his daily portions. Switched to barf and he loooooves it! Will never switch back, best decision ever
LOVE this. ❤ We recently switched my 9 year old GSD that has developed hip dysplasia and skin allergies to complete raw and he is doing SO much better, it’s unbelievable. Wish I would have fed him raw his whole life, and I will for any dogs I have in the future.

I been feeding my boy dyi raw since day one home with me. His breeder and his dam fed him raw. Hes now one and a half and all labs are perfect. X-rays spot on. I'm very proud we done him right.

Also, if you stick to 100% GRASS fed and finished animals, you'll never see those issues period.. my dogs eat both raw chicken and beef every single day & never once had any animals get e.coli, salmonella or any of that BS.. Dogs body's are designed to eat raw meats. So their stomach acid is about 10x stronger than a human. Even if meat WAS bad, the bacteria could never survive the acid wash in the dogs stomach & the dog would be fine... Shit, dogs will eat meat off a carcass that's been sitting dead and rotting for weeks without any problems. ..
I love all dogs but the GS breed definitely has been part of my family tree for some generations now! I like all colors and body types that have come, long as you train them, you got yourself a bad ass protection dog that is also your best friend

I always thank the once who educate me with knowledge ,may it be of my favourite aspect that is dogs or something else and so thank you Mr Zeke and Kris Taylor too.So moving to the dogs Marek was awesome and now it is 2019 ,and if Marek was born in 2015, April 15 he must 4 and a half. I loved Cask's tremendous coat and his razor sharp teeth(also for Marek)he and the other dogs were very agile and their energy levels were through the roof. Anna was beautiful in the video and no doubt she must be an excellent mother to her pups. Walters was great, his physicality is the same as other dogs the health, I can see that its excellent. I loved this video and on top of that the dogs.
My GSD developed a really bad skin allergy and we switched from chicken to Salmon. Haven’t seen TOO much of a difference as far as the look of his skin (lower back) and fur but I’m slowly introducing raw food to him. Glad I came across your channel!
Ive been feeding my two Romanian rescues raw meat and veg for the last three years , along with some kibble . I've had them five years , and they are now about eight. I've never taken them to a vet for any jabs , no real health issues , their poos are solid and not very smelly , and they don't get fleas. No flea treatments either. Their teeth still look good too . They like to eat dried rabbit ears , and I've started making beef and chicken broth to add to their main meals , which they devour . 🇬🇧✝️🆓
once i switched my dogs to raw, i barely had any issues with them at all. my golden retriever(10 yrs) used to get hotspots EVERY YEAR around the same time -but being fed raw, she hasn't had one. even after swimming in the lake and not drying off properly(my mistake, but she was ok) and my oldest male (10 yrs) acts like he's a puppy. no joint issues, his eyes are beautifully clear (that's what the vet said lol) and his coat is VERY shiny for an older fella. i have my 3 year old malamute on raw as well, and he just loves it. getting a german shepherd pup next week and i'll be transitioning him to raw after a little while/after i learn more. it's the BEST way to feed and i actually feel proud of myself for making them a yummy dinner/breakfast. buy some sardines in bulk, quail eggs, chicken eggs, beef, any kind of fish really, frozen veggies, greek yogurt, some fruit, or just a pre-mixed blend. the brand IronWillRaw is really good quality and a pretty fair price. my guys LOVE the sardines and it's so good for them. i wish i could just take my mal to a river and let him get his own fish haha, maybe one day!!

Big advocate of the raw diet, had a German Shepherd/Rottweiler cross with dietary issues and never once thought about raw feeding at the time. That dog has now passed and we have a new dog, Lhasa apso which after much research is fed completely raw. No health issues, minimal toilet, very little weeping issues from eyes(these dogs eyes are usually very weepy), no bad breath, no gas, wonderful coat, clean teeth and absolutely no negative issues. Would love another shepherd of some sort and it would 100% raw fed without a doubt.
I wish my family understood this. We have a White GSD with obvious skin allergies. I've been searching or a remedy with no real positive results and when I get "help," the food choices are of the poorest quality. I'm going to transition or cold turkey feed a raw diet to my baby. The most perfect statements @5:31 & @ 5:46 are why I am subscribing to changing her diet. She deserves a much higher quality of life and a much higher, more beneficial quality of food. I pray that she drastically improves. I look forward to seeing better results.

I started my GSD on mainly raw chicken with liver, fresh greens and frozen fruits but he started itching. I'm not sure but suspected the raw chicken was the problem because chickens are fed chemicals that speed growth and antibiotics. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?
BARF. There is no transition to it, you just food prep, throw away the junk kibble, and give them a good meal. Properly shopping for RAW can cost as low as $1 per meal.

Can you please extrapolate on what exactly you feed your dogs in regard to raw/bones that you state keep their teeth so white and clean? My GSD is on "Gently cooked/Raw diet for years now, with supplementation of a refrigerated food for supplements etc. but mostly just beef/chx with addition of slight amounts of liver/hearts. His teeth are constantly tartar'ed' up. I have to use a dental scraper to clean them every few weeks needed, but I do it once a month. Do you feed your GSD's an entire chicken raw? just the legs raw? What sort of bone are they getting in their meals? I am paranoid of smaller bones like chx leg bones, hell, any chicken bones being too small and can get stuck in my GSD's system somewhere/somehow. Thanks in advance...? We'll see if I even get a response, if not, then youre having them professionally cleaned and lying to sell product/service, something...
Interesting! Just started raw diet on all my dogs. My Shepard has allergies and has a bad temperament . Will monitor her daily to see how she changes as we continue with raw.

I switched to kibble after my husky surfaced with liver disease and the vet thinks that he got sick cause of the RAW diet. Who knows. I always wonder what the vet would have said the possible cause of his illness if he never became aware of the raw diet i was feeding him. Anyhow back to my shepard, she did not have a hard time transitioning back to kibble. She has a really good appetite. However at her age she has now surfaced with diabetes. The vet believes her diabetes may be triggered cause she is still intact. She believes that if i spade her the diabetes will go possibly go away. Could be coincidence but since she is eating kibble she has declined a bit and begun to loss weight but she is 11, diabetic and intact so please factor variables. Hope this helps. Too true. My german sheep Amber is on a Natures menu diet . This is a company in the uk that provides raw diet for Animals . They do raw mince. Black tripe. Chicken beef & I think lamb . Amber has black tripe beef& chicken I vary it . They also do fresh bones liver etc... there is NOTHING better I’m sure of it my dog is happy& healthy. No wonder some Animals don’t live as long as they should it’s the crap they are fed. Wish EVERYONE would wake up to this diet for there Animals PLEEEESE.

Hi Stranger well mine doesn't have a doggy smell because every morning I take him on walks by the river where he loves swimming YES both breeds sled lots however I have found the husky to sled less like their fur is so dense my dog has no problem sleeping outside I would recommend getting a cross because they are generally healthier than pure breeds feeding raw also helps with smell and feed some fish oil for less smell. But do some research yourself to see what fits you.im just a dude from new Zealand cheers bro
you’ve probably done your research and you probably know this but in case you don’t you should be feeling a chicken leg quarters or something with good amount of Bone either that or you need to add calcium without D3 literally it can kill the dog if that shit looks dryish right then and there consider giving it a bit more calcium I can you’ve probably done research just in case you We’re feeding it raw hamburger or something like that

Hi Kris. This bitch is raw fed. We own her. My Husband has been in the breed since 1967, myself since 1975. Old guys, lol, but we love the breed. We have been feeding raw for over 10 years, it is great to be sure! I love that you used a very correct bitch to use as "ligament issues". Odd, but , okay...We don't pretend she is a working line dog, anymore than your pretend your dogs will finish in the AKC ring. To each his own. All good, and there is room for everyone . BTW She finished her Championship, in 6 weeks, undefeated. Her hocks are short, feet tight, pasterns correct, surgically clean coming and going. Also note she lands on her feet, which can be a problem in showlines both US and European, to be sure. Length of hock, I would say she is spot on. Agree with you absolutely on the raw diet, none better. I recommend it to everyone. However would love to know where you got the video, were you there?/ Did you take the video of the class? Hi Stranger Hiya, nah mine doesn't have a strong doggy smell and I haven't bathed him but I have known short hair dogs to have a strong doggy smell but there again every dog has a doggy smell but yes they do shed however if you brush them that does help but it won't stop them from getting fur on carpets and that but again short hair dogs still shed alot too, I found that short hair dogs have just as doggy smell as long hair dog breeds but mine is not to bad his very clean if I shut him away in the hallway when I go out then that's when you get the doggy smell but apart from that nah no problems with smell
Sean Flynn I can't imagine keeping him in house, it's more of a yard dog. Big schnauzer don't shed as other dogs and don't have doggy smell. I really wanted GS or Husky but damn im scare of using brush every single day for shedding and strong smell that they have.
Hi Stranger I wouldn't worry about the smell that's only if you have them indoors for a long amount of time and in the heat, mine is outside most the time and even when he comes indoors he doesn't have a doggy smell, would you have your dog sleep outside or indoors? Oh and you don't need to brush them everyday, if you get a husky it will still shed as much as the German shepherd and even if you get a short coat dog they will still shed and in my opinion they are worse

I would just fast her for a day, then start on type of meat for the first meals. That how some people start; then they start adding more meats over the next days/weeks. Just make sure to look up a puppy feeding schedule since dogs 2 and under need more food because they are still growing.

Vets don't recommend a raw diet because the nutrition class is taught by a representative of a large dog food company. Even though i am vegan, I will ALWAYS feed raw diets to any of my pets that are carnivorous, cats, ferrets and more. it's more expensive but i'm willing to pay more for my animals' health.
He was on to something until he started going on about feeding the dogs vegetables. Dogs aren't omnivores. They don't need any plant materials at all. And they don't need any "digestive enzymes" added to their diet either.
I do give my two dogs some vegetables to add to raw meat meals along with chicken and beef broth . Veg may not be their usual food , but there's no reason why they shouldn't have some , if they like it. One of my dogs , likes apples , bananas and strawberries , all in moderation as treats . The other dog doesn't like fruit . No I'll effects that I've noticed .
@keithawhosoever5384 there are plenty of reasons dogs should not have vegetables. 1. Anti-nutrients. These are chemicals that block the blood from absorbing nutrients and vegetables are loaded with them. 2. Phytotoxins. These are just what they sound like. Plant toxins/poisons. Plants are living this and do not like to be eaten. And since they can't run away or fight back physically, they fight back chemically. Your dog may be resistant to some of those toxins but those toxins are still doing damage and slowly building up in his system over time. This leads to diseases like cancer. 3. Bioavailability. Not only are the pants blocking your dog's ability to absorb some nutrients, but the nutrients in the plants are not the right type for your dog to absorb either. Heme iron vs non-heme iron for example. Vitamin A vs beta carotene. And about a million other examples. Your dog can't use them. 4. Digestion. Your dog's digestive system has little to no ability to even break down and process vegetation. So it passes through the system undigested, causing physical irritation and inflammation inside the intestinal walls.
My dog eats it and seems like he don’t like it he’ll pick it out of his bowl put it on the ground lick it then walk off he definitely doesn’t like kibble either..

Was feeding my gsd puppy kibble and he had diarrhea, switched to raw and his stools are much firmer, coats shinier than ever and teeth are clean!!

I've been searching or a remedy with no real positive results and when I get "help," the food choices are of the poorest quality. I'm going to transition or cold turkey feed a raw diet to my baby. The most perfect statements @5:31 & @ 5:46 are why I am subscribing to changing her diet. She deserves a much higher quality of life and a much higher, more beneficial quality of food. I pray that she drastically improves. I look forward to seeing better results.

I started my GSD on mainly raw chicken with liver, fresh greens and frozen fruits but he started itching. I'm not sure but suspected the raw chicken was the problem because chickens are fed chemicals that speed growth and antibiotics. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

Can you please extrapolate on what exactly you feed your dogs in regard to raw/bones that you state keep their teeth so white and clean? My GSD is on "Gently cooked/Raw diet for years now, with supplementation of a refrigerated food for supplements etc. but mostly just beef/chx with addition of slight amounts of liver/hearts. His teeth are constantly tartar'ed' up. I have to use a dental scraper to clean them every few weeks needed, but I do it once a month. Do you feed your GSD's an entire chicken raw? just the legs raw? What sort of bone are they getting in their meals? I am paranoid of smaller bones like chx leg bones, hell, any chicken bones being too small and can get stuck in my GSD's system somewhere/somehow. Thanks in advance...? We'll see if I even get a response, if not, then youre having them professionally cleaned and lying to sell product/service, something...

@@VenomRoadRacing Hi, My female GSD is now 11. She thrived on RAW. In March I started feeding her kibble. I switched to kibble after my husky surfaced with liver disease and the vet thinks that he got sick cause of the RAW diet. Who knows. I always wonder what the vet would have said the possible cause of his illness if he never became aware of the raw diet i was feeding him. Anyhow back to my shepard, she did not have a hard time transitioning back to kibble. She has a really good appetite. However at her age she has now surfaced with diabetes. The vet believes her diabetes may be triggered cause she is still intact. She believes that if i spade her the diabetes will go possibly go away. Could be coincidence but since she is eating kibble she has declined a bit and begun to loss weight but she is 11, diabetic and intact so please factor variables. Hope this helps. Would I feed my dogs raw again? Yes I would.

Too true. My german sheep Amber is on a Natures menu diet . This is a company in the uk that provides raw diet for Animals . They do raw mince. Black tripe. Chicken beef & I think lamb . Amber has black tripe beef& chicken I vary it . They also do fresh bones liver etc... there is NOTHING better I’m sure of it my dog is happy& healthy. No wonder some Animals don’t live as long as they should it’s the crap they are fed. Wish EVERYONE would wake up to this diet for there Animals PLEEEESE.

Hi Stranger well mine doesn't have a doggy smell because every morning I take him on walks by the river where he loves swimming YES both breeds sled lots however I have found the husky to sled less like their fur is so dense my dog has no problem sleeping outside I would recommend getting a cross because they are generally healthier than pure breeds feeding raw also helps with smell and feed some fish oil for less smell. But do some research yourself to see what fits you.im just a dude from new Zealand cheers bro

you’ve probably done your research and you probably know this but in case you don’t you should be feeling a chicken leg quarters or something with good amount of Bone either that or you need to add calcium without D3 literally it can kill the dog if that shit looks dryish right then and there consider giving it a bit more calcium I can you’ve probably done research just in case you We’re feeding it raw hamburger or something like that
@@adon2701 german shepherds don't smell..thats one of the things they are popular for...also 1 or 2 baths a year is more than enough..single coated ones don't shed as much as huskies..

Hi Kris. This bitch is raw fed. We own her. My Husband has been in the breed since 1967, myself since 1975. Old guys, lol, but we love the breed. We have been feeding raw for over 10 years, it is great to be sure! I love that you used a very correct bitch to use as "ligament issues". Odd, but , okay...We don't pretend she is a working line dog, anymore than your pretend your dogs will finish in the AKC ring. To each his own. All good, and there is room for everyone . BTW She finished her Championship, in 6 weeks, undefeated. Her hocks are short, feet tight, pasterns correct, surgically clean coming and going. Also note she lands on her feet, which can be a problem in showlines both US and European, to be sure. Length of hock, I would say she is spot on. Agree with you absolutely on the raw diet, none better. I recommend it to everyone. However would love to know where you got the video, were you there?/ Did you take the video of the class? Hi Stranger Hiya, nah mine doesn't have a strong doggy smell and I haven't bathed him but I have known short hair dogs to have a strong doggy smell but there again every dog has a doggy smell but yes they do shed however if you brush them that does help but it won't stop them from getting fur on carpets and that but again short hair dogs still shed alot too, I found that short hair dogs have just as doggy smell as long hair dog breeds but mine is not to bad his very clean if I shut him away in the hallway when I go out then that's when you get the doggy smell but apart from that nah no problems with smell
Sean Flynn I can't imagine keeping him in house, it's more of a yard dog. Big schnauzer don't shed as other dogs and don't have doggy smell. I really wanted GS or Husky but damn im scare of using brush every single day for shedding and strong smell that they have.
Hi Stranger I wouldn't worry about the smell that's only if you have them indoors for a long amount of time and in the heat, mine is outside most the time and even when he comes indoors he doesn't have a doggy smell, would you have your dog sleep outside or indoors? Oh and you don't need to brush them everyday, if you get a husky it will still shed as much as the German shepherd and even if you get a short coat dog they will still shed and in my opinion they are worse

I would just fast her for a day, then start on type of meat for the first meals. That how some people start; then they start adding more meats over the next days/weeks. Just make sure to look up a puppy feeding schedule since dogs 2 and under need more food because they are still growing.

Vets don't recommend a raw diet because the nutrition class is taught by a representative of a large dog food company. Even though i am vegan, I will ALWAYS feed raw diets to any of my pets that are carnivorous, cats, ferrets and more. it's more expensive but i'm willing to pay more for my animals' health.

He was on to something until he started going on about feeding the dogs vegetables. Dogs aren't omnivores. They don't need any plant materials at all. And they don't need any "digestive enzymes" added to their diet either.
I do give my two dogs some vegetables to add to raw meat meals along with chicken and beef broth .
Veg may not be their usual food , but there's no reason why they shouldn't have some , if they like it.
One of my dogs , likes apples , bananas and strawberries , all in moderation as treats . The other dog doesn't like fruit .

@keithawhosoever5384 there are plenty of reasons dogs should not have vegetables.
1. Anti-nutrients. These are chemicals that block the blood from absorbing nutrients and vegetables are loaded with them.
2. Phytotoxins. These are just what they sound like. Plant toxins/poisons. Plants are living this and do not like to be eaten. And since they can't run away or fight back physically, they fight back chemically. Your dog may be resistant to some of those toxins but those toxins are still doing damage and slowly building up in his system over time. This leads to diseases like cancer.
3. Bioavailability. Not only are the pants blocking your dog's ability to absorb some nutrients, but the nutrients in the plants are not the right type for your dog to absorb either. Heme iron vs non-heme iron for example. Vitamin A vs beta carotene. And about a million other examples. Your dog can't use them.
4. Digestion. Your dog's digestive system has little to no ability to even break down and process vegetation. So it passes through the system undigested, causing physical irritation and inflammation inside the intestinal walls.
