    Definitely need the pickup hose in the tank. Any sled 30 years old does not have the original attached still. Sometimes the brass pre filter/ check valve rots off and the line floats up. Not sure why, maybe the sloshing around but if it points up instead of down you will get nothing but air even with a tank that's almost full. If you get a new to you sled it's nice to put on clear gas lines to see what's going on. Also it looked to me like your fuel filter is on backwards. See if there is an arrow on it.

    Wrap a rag around the fuel tank filler neck and shove a blow tool into there and use light busts of air pressure to prime the system. As you do it you will see the fuel go through the filter

      I don't do that. If I want to I will use gas in the can. Put some in the spark plugs holes. That works all the time . don't tell people what to do. You are not the boss

      The jetting is wrong
      My snowmobiles run
      Rough. Sound bad. So.
      I rejet them the right way

      I am a mechanic. I work on snowmobiles
      Some are old as I am
      Some are new.
