I've just tried this recipe now. It's a good recipe, it makes a nice small quantity which is what I needed. The only thing I changed was the gas mark. I have a fan assisted oven which gets really hot, so I put it on 150 degrees for 20 minutes. Just letting them cool down now, 5 mins before the end, I take the tray out to make cut lines, then back in the oven for the remaining time. It just makes it easier to cut at the end when they're cool. Thank you for the recipe.
Hi, that's a good catch. I would like to confirm that they are the same. Before placing in the oven, I leveled it to 3/4th the length of the tray. But once it is baked, it got spread to the entire length.May be thats the difference you would have noticed. Hope that clarifies.
Hi there Shanu I love your videos and just watched this easy flap jack Recipe for the 4 th even wrote down ingredients went into my kitchen put all ingredients ready pre warmed oven checked after 25 mins all wet on top, 30mins took them out after 40mins to cool down, still sticky on top have I put too much G Syrup or not enough oats. Hello George Whitby, Thank you for your comment. Glad to know that you like my videos. I went back through my recipe book to confirm if all the ingredients measurements are correct and it did match. So If all the ingredients are weighed out as specified, I think the baking time has to be fine tuned. May be try it for 5 - 10 minutes, till the edges starts turning brown. Hope that helps.

I've made it a few times since - with syrup - got a reasonable knack for it, used all the oats and have half a tin of syrup left. I might use it to knock up a luxury batch with mixed nuts for Christmas.
@@nataliasasiak2683 Hi! You can also make your own golden syrup with just water, sugar, and lemon juice. I ran out of golden syrup and did this and it worked.
