Although I never comment on videos and I find it highly unlikely anyone will ever find this comment or ever care much about it I feel the need to say it. I have watched and rewatched you build this GTO at least a dozen times over while rebuilding my own, Rich. Recently I had the great pleasure in meeting you at Moteroma and although we exchanged few words you seem to be a truly genuine and kind person. Thank you for helping me through some truly hard times with this series and thank you for helping me find inspiration through your work. P.S. if you by chance see this comment Rich I was the 17 year old kid with a gold patina 67 GTO at Moteroma 2023.
Just found your channel, and now found this build :) My dad has a 67 he bought from the original owner back in 1977. He did a frame off restoration about 10 years ago, and we also have a 67 bonneville that's all original at 32,000 miles. Very excited to watch these videos!
+GoBIGclan There is no other way. If you support the frame any other way, it will shift when you set it on the tires and you will have to line up all your gaps again. These are big cars and they need to be able to bend, otherwise they will crack. We got to this project just in time. If the previous owner would have started welding anything at all, we would have to cut everything apart again.
+GoBIGclan Kinda like when you're jacking up a car and you forget your wrench inside on the passengers seat (go with me on this one) and you go to open the door and it won't budge. Car frames need to flex. It's a necessity of the material they are made out of. Metal. (and even with composites the rule still applies). Otherwise, oh boy, i've been in what a guy thought to be "the" ultimate car. Pity his idea of ultimate meant he made the frame and lower body so rigid, even going over a pebble would rattle the whole thing. And that's before getting in to the fact that the rear right door couldn't be opened unless you whaled on the handle.
not to be picky but there is no such thing as a Pontiac big block..they are all mid blocks from 301 to 455. they will set in between a chevy small block and a chevy big block.

Starting the GTO series, excited 😁
I really like your idea to put the parts on the walls, that's a really neat, organized fashion to store parts out of the way. Kudos for that one.

Thanks waiting on next week
The truck and equipment dealer I work for sells Kioti tractors, I recognized the cribbing that the Pontiac body was sitting on instantly! Lol
B body frame like my 65SS Impala frame
6:09 get the funk out! @badobsessionmsp
Hope you put some Eagle forged rods and 80 psi oil pump, considering it will be driven hard down the road.
So you decided to put it back together on the frame so that it's all squared and lined up correctly?
