HDMI out would have been really nice, even if I wouldn't utilize it much

My theory is that if this thing had an HDMI output there would be no reason for someone to buy the evercade vs. But still if you're going to pay over 200 bucks, I want some HDMI output options especially if they're going to have a more expensive model with different joystick parts

Maybe HDMI will be added at release time.

I hope so, but I doubt it. It's very uncommon for there to be major Hardware revisions at this stage of development. I think it has to do with their licensing deals with various publishers. For example, some namco games will only display on their portable systems but not consoles. But if it's a portable system then why doesn't it have a built-in battery. If it's a portable, you shouldn't have to plug it into the wall to play it. Of course, what's crazy is that there's the evercade exp which I have which has HDMI out and is a portable. So I think the no HDMI out is more licensing reasons. Personally, I don't have an evercade vs. And if this thing had an HDMI out you would need to get an Evercade VS, so that's the other possible reason.

They are milking it. The hardware on those things even with two together isn't the value of a PS5 and now they are constantly releasing new hardware that doesn't offer anything really new but just reselling you hardware to play the same games.
Instead of trying to squeeze money from collectors like this they should just work on getting more games and on a new Evercade 2 system down the line that will be able to play more demanding older games like N64 games and PS1 or PS2 and GC games while also collaborating with indie devs to make physical Evercade cartridges for their games on the new hardware.
That will also be a good cheaper alternative for many vs buying this games from over expensive and time limited places like Limited Games.
Sure the system won't be able to play the more demanding 3D indie games but if it is powerful enough to play PS2 and GC level games etc then it will play a good amount of indie games that sell digitally and have only physical forms threw this limited time shops.

Well I actually pre-ordered the Street Fighter variant today. But it irks me that there is no HDMI output on it nor is there a battery. So you have to play it plugged in. But is it a console? If it's a console it should have HDMI and if it's a portable it should have a battery. But yeah, this is my last major Evercade Hardware purchase until they decide to do a different generation or so. I'm a sucker for joysticks and I'm a sucker for Street Fighter.
