    Asteroids Deluxe is wrong, it's actually Asteroids. The ship, sounds and (lack of) the new hexagonal enemy are all different - why did they badge it as the wrong game?

      I'm wondering if the 1979 Asteroids is on there as a bonus option.

      Glad you mentioned it. Asteroids Deluxe is a completely different game, this is the original Asteroids with the Deluxe background! OMG, how could something like this get past quality control? Wow, unacceptable.

    Good video and review of this Evercade cartridge! I have this one, and I agree about the Night Driver game and the other's on this cartridge! Nice!

    This is real neat and all, but it's baffling they would put so many games in one collection that utilize paddle or trackball controllers.

    I have one of those Atari branded dial controllers with the games built-in that I bought for $10.00, plays Night Driver & Warlords just fine... 🤗

    it's a collection of true ARCADE games ;
    hard enough to keep customers pumping quarters every 5 minutes !
    but it's nice to compare with the home VCS versions !
    we finally get a good CRYSTAL CASTLES home version (LOL)
    ( only the ST computer offered a "OK" port at the time IMO - still, no Track-Ball )
    would have been nice to have the Warner's games (Marble Madness & up)

    Wish they would have done Night Driver justice. It is a great 2600 port with houses and other cars.

      I played the arcade game in a museum when I was little (around 1980). I don't remember if it had or didn't have oncoming traffic. I only got the Atari 2600 version much later and beat the logbook challenges. I no longer consider games like this and Pole Position to be racing games, but rather "passing traffic" games.

    Very strange that nearly all the games on this cart were games made for a different controller like a trackball or paddles. Were you supposed to get those controllers for the Evercade? I half expected to see the arcade version of Indy 500 which used steering controllers on the 2600 and the equivalent at the arcade, then you saying you can use the d-pad, or whatever it's called.
    Still, with talk of the latest system that can play old 2600 games, I was wondering who that one is for, and thinking maybe I'd like to play the original arcade games that were turned into 2600 carts, instead. I guess this one didn't have the 5-lane Dodge 'Em arcade game.

    Why do companies insist on putting games that use spinners/dials and trackballs on these compilations? They’re barely playable without their native controllers. Is it just for name recognition? More than half of the games on this Atari collection are useless with a D-pad.

    I do wonder why they chose these games. Most of them utilize controls or display technology that the Evercade is especially poorly suited to. I suspect any truly new players will form overly negative opinions about them based on how poorly these titles map over to modern budget gaming hardware.

    Canyon Bomber is annoying. it sounds like dying cats.

      I got Canyon Bomber the same time I got Breakout for the 2600 and it was not one of my favorites. And it wasn't an option with my parents to return it to the store. I learned recently that the cart was based on two arcade games, since it has a sea-bomber variation. At least that means these Atari carts were tested in the real world with kids' quarters, as opposed to games made just for the system. I probably should have picked Circus Atari if it was available at the time instead; I liked playing it at another kid's home. I ended up getting Clowns for my VIC-20 when I got that computer a couple years later, and Circus Atari years later for $1 at the thrift store.
