I had trouble on the same side you did , and my hitch receiver came in the same condition as yours did 🙄 but I just hit it with a bit of rustoleum and it has held up very good for the last 2 years and a half. Then again I live in Arizona USA. Love the Kia spectra content keep up the good work! 🤙
Hey my friend I hope all is well, I'm so very excited that you have found my channel and i Hope you become a member of the sub family community! I'm so very glad to hear that you were able to Successfully install your tow hitch receiver on your KiaSpectraEx. I most definitely Disapprove of the company (Curt) they will treat there customers very poorly! And it's sad such a known company would send someone such a product in the condition that it was in, all three of my tow hitch receivers I bought from them looked very abused. I don't want to forget to mention I had to used adhesive remover,Touch-up Rust-Oleum paint and degreaser to get the tow hitch receiver back to top shape. I hope this information helps you my friend & i appreciate your support. Keep being an amazing person my friend. & I will be here to assist you every step of the way. Godbless you
