Great, and thank you for the video. Just want to add a few helpful hints. The x3's from 2004-2010 does not have the IBS, (intelligent battery sensors) and does NOT need to be coded or registered. To confirm this, take a look at your "negative\ground" battery cable - it should have nothing else attached to it at the battery post, except the cable clamps that attaches it to the post. You can also search YT for- BMW Battery Registration Explained - Does My Model Need It? Hope this helps also, Thank You

I wish I saw this video before, but you’re 1000% right what it did to my black glossy plastic is undescribable. It coated the area, but it wasn’t a uniform coating I used rubbing alcohol. I went through a lot of rubbing with it. I am really sorry I didn’t see your video before hand. I am glad I’m not the only one that fell for their scheme.

I recently was gifted a 2006. It’s running great with 39,300 miles in 2024. I doubt it needs a battery, sis was good on keeping it up to date. But ty for the video, they made the car user friendly, and at this point, not too complicated.
