- Ace Run Productions brings you our first event of the 2024 season, the 20th Annual Savannah Open presented by Dynamic Discs. We will be playing 2 full rounds and a Final 6 holes to determine the champion. Round one is at the Sarge in Hardeeville, SC. The 2nd round and Final 6 will take place at the Harbor in Savannah, GA. Enjoying coverage without hole previews. Sometimes I feel like half of what I'm watching is hole previews. Trying to watch golf!
Couldn’t disagree more. The hole previews followed by watching the tee shots makes the coverage more professional, helps new fans understand exactly what’s going on, and theyre what gives the average disc golfer watching an implication on what shape is needed in order to succeed on each hole. If I’m watching round 2 coverage and I already know the hole from round 1, I just skip 20 seconds ahead. It’s not that hard
But it'd be nice to know the par at least?
I love Zach's commentary. Probably not a good call for most coverage, but i enjoyed it.

There's been some other stuff dropping, but we always start off season off with the Savannah Open
I know Tom Triplett was the plan as usual and they were forced to pivot to Sarge and Sav Harbor, but I like the different look for this tournament actually! Shame there’s standing water, but The Sarge is a great looking course to highlight for this years tournament
It was a fun change of pace and we would absolutely like to see this course when there are more favorable conditions
I love this course i play it when i go to florida its fun, this course and tom Triplett in pooler.
We did miss not getting to be at Tom Triplett this year

Ezra looking great both his game and him slimming down. While I can appreciate Zachs schtick on a skins match its a bit much and seems forced for an actual tournament round. It might just be the mic but there were numerous times where if I would have been on the card I would be able to hear him talking while putting or throwing and id have to tell him to stop. Sound travels.
It makes me so mad that I see pros wearing apparel go to search to buy it and it's nowhere to be found. Are pros making their own? Are companies making small runs for pros? I understand why they don't want to sell team apparel. But why is it that pros get good looking apparel that you could wear around and what they sell looks like junk. Isaac's hoodie doesn't say team prodigy, but I would buy it in a heartbeat.
A lot of times the companies send them to logos for them to apply to clothes that the pros buy themselves. I'm not 100% certain that this is the case with Isaac hoodie, but I know that it's a common practice.
@@AceRunProductions that makes a lot of sense to me. Wild that individuals could make better clothing apparel than the companies themselves. I know everyone has different tastes, but my lord disc golf apparel seems to be lacking in the quality department. Ascetic and build...

Ezra looking lean and mean to start the year. I think the brothers are gonna make everyone else work for the points this year. I like the in game commentary from Zach, but not as a standard for coverage.
Even as someone who might be a bit of a Zach Melton fanboy, commentary on every shot was a bit much. I understand it’s more work to pick and choose his commentary, but little bits here and there would be plenty.
For sanctioned/serious tournament coverage the hosted commentary is what we’re all used to. Side commentary fits better in a less serious event.
IN MY OPINION of course.
I think trying new things is totally the right move. Keep up the awesome work and we’ll def be here to give our two cents 😊

Mic'd up round would be great. Just commentators round would be great. Putting them both together sounds terrible. Other sports do a transition to a mic'd up section and the commentators stay quiet and then they bring it back to the booth where it's commentators only. Maybe have "we're going to listen in" section here and there especially in moments where a player is under alot of pressure
Not a good experience. Loudmoth shout outs and random noise, making everything else inaudible.

i like the “mic’ ed up” feature but yea, zach melton isn’t as fun to watch or listen to as the competitive players would be.
The issue is that Melton is just giving running reactions at the same volume as the announcers. It just makes the dialog muddled as they talk over each other.
Zach makes this unwatchable.
They serious gave Zak that on hole 1. Dude was nowhere ever close to being in bounds there
They called him out of bounds. His putt was for 3 which he made for the par.
I always like the mic’d up idea but not on Zach Melton. I appreciate his attempt at humor but he’s pretty annoying. A little maturity and less shit talking and it might work. I much prefer listening to Conrad and Felix.

Thanks for the coverage, but it was a big letdown for me personally. I really like Zach Melton but you should have gone with either the announcers or miking Zach up, not both. Stopped watching after hole 6
Zach Melton needs to chill on the commentary. Doesn't matter if you're good or not, it's one thing if you're out there playing with your friends cutting up, but these guys are playing seriously and it's a sport. That's not very sportsman like conduct. Don't do this again with this player in fact, don't do with any players. Just keep it professional.
Love me some Zach Melton! But not a fan of the commentators speaking over him.
