Lol that Paul Ulibarri comment, "If you're just joining us.." fit my situation perfectly. Right when I got back from work and continued watching the F9
Awesome coverage as usual. I think it's kinda funny how everybody wants the best-looking discs and cool plastic swirls and Calvin is just over here throwing factory seconds
Just watching the intro has me thinking back through all the years of Jomez footage. They have pushed the standard for coverage beyond what I would ever predict it could get to for disc golf. So much fun to watch🤘🏻
This is the first disc golf tournament I've followed from the start, gotta say I've enjoyed it. I like that the coverage stays on task and there isn't a lot of filler and fluff, just the players playing the game. We need more of that in the bigger sports.
@@bcschoening I second that... Yesterday was one of the best days of my life...we were some of the last people to leave and got to kinda BS with Calvin right before he pulled outta there, class act such a nice great cool individual especially to take the time to sign and throw some GIANT frisbees we brought... An experience I'll never forget 😎
Calvin and Simon's upshots from out of the woods in seven are two of the most impressive touch shots I have ever seen in my life. I don't even know how a person can throw a disc so perfectly. That's why I watch.
I was at the event and I gotta agree...I was very impressed with the great job of the spectators all day...we were there from 645am till the end so I seen alot of instances where things could've turned out differently lol great job Michigan, Let's Go!!
What a great card! My two favorite disc golfers (Simon and Calvin), Nate’s favorite to play with (Corey) and the GOAT. Judging from the size of the crowds following them, this is a popular opinion.
I've been refreshing my home page for the last 20 minutes waiting for this. Love the coverage and contribution that Jomez has brought to Disc Golf's growth :)
man i got to come out and watch the final round yesterday and it was a blast i got to watch everything i even got to see big jerm throw a tomahawk on 17 from no mans land and it looked like it ended up pretty good. great time great tournament this course is brutal i have played it twice and its not a walk in the park by any means lol
I agree with the commentators, if you haven’t ever come to watch live Pro disc golf. It’s a must. Jomez does a fantastic job, of telling the story of the players/tournament round. It’s just that with some of these steep elevations, camera’s don’t really do the elevation justice. Go watch your Pro’s!!! These shots are just kind blowingly fantastic!!! 🤯😂🤗 What I like to do before spectating. A few weeks prior to the event. I go play the course.(keeping in mind, I’m just your average recreational chump) I shot a +23 at toboggan 😂🤦🏻♂️ I lost two disc on hole 3. Two…in one hole 😅 That’s never happened to me before. This course is so hard. There’s not a lot of artificial ob. Because there doesn’t need to be. The rough is so nasty, that sometimes all you’re left with us a pitch out. The rough is it’s own punishment. So to see players shot even just a few strokes below par. Is a fantastic round. This course is only up temporarily. And for good reason. It’s designed for Pro’s. It’s much too difficult for the recreational player. 😂 However, knowing this, I go to just check it out, have fun. Hope to get bogie on every hole. But then when I watch my favorite pro’s step up and park holes, for example hole one. I know just how truly talented they are. How special that shot is.
The form review is a cool new feature. However the choice of what shots to do it on is rather odd. It seems that most of these form reviews have been during shots that got away from the players. I would like to see form review on shots when the player hit their target. This is not a critique of the players having slip ups, I just think those moments are not the best to highlight what they are capable of.
@@bradennisly9420 If that is the case, I would almost argue that however they are setting up is putting weird pressure on the players in that case. Hopefully they will get used to it, but almost every player shanked a shot while getting a form review.
One of them was to show the last step of Simon moving to his left rather than forward and so I think if the throw shows what point they are trying to make, it's ok. Of course better if the shot is on point as well.
I've been to just one pro event with all the big names. It was a serious experience. Even retired my best disc after McBeast signed it. Truly awesome experience.
DGPT events look so amazing when they are presented in genuine 1080p60, recorded in-camera, and not wrecked by dodgy WIFI so it is really 480p30. DGN is making disc golf ugly all over gain, just like back in 2014. While here at JomezPro it's silky smooth P60, with every frame arriving in time. Thanks Jomez; You set the bar.
Have fun brother...if it's the first Live event you've ever been to it will be a weekend you'll remember forever... Cameras do it zero justice, it's amazing to watch in person 👊
27:00 My first ever tournament I played was the first A tier that ever came to my city. Was really cool to see some of the best players in My area play the courses I’ve learned the game on. But really hope to get to see pro tour events. Maybe if we continue to grow the sport we can get something of the sort in Canada
Love this card. I was just going to comment on the last video. i would love to see Corey Ellis, Simon Lizotte, Calvin Heimburg, and Brad Williams play on a card. Eagle McMahon and Paul McBeth can be swapped in for anyone.
I highly recommend going to a tournament in person. I never really understood Corey’s power until I went to Idlewild this year. I watched him throw 630+ feet dead straight into a head wind.

The way Nate calls Calvin a “boom daddy” is what I needed on this Monday morning
Really REALLY hope it sticks and everyone just calls him Boomdaddy from now on

Thought I would give Jomez crew a shout out. Even though I watch it live I need to watch it with you guys too. Definitely like your commentary
I feel the same. Love me some big sexy barri.
Same
Bro I was about to write the same thing.
This has to be my favorite lead card so far this year.
These pre-round collages keep getting better and better - thanks for all the hard work and magic, y'all!
Just watching the intro has me thinking back through all the years of Jomez footage. They have pushed the standard for coverage beyond what I would ever predict it could get to for disc golf. So much fun to watch🤘🏻
Nate's comments on relaxed putting and jerm's comments on being in person. Few gems in commentary sprinkled throughout this
Love the thumbnail of Calvin in the rough, hilarious. And congrats.
THE VERY BEST DISC GOLF PRO TOUR COVERAGE BY THE BEST COMMENTATORS!. KEEP UP THE GREAT CONTENT FOR WE FANS APPRECIATE IT TO THE MAX!
This photo of Calvin is perfect
I'm loving the short one-minute intros that y'all have been doing lately! Absolutely killer editing, looking forward to more in the future :)
Agreed!! These intros get me more amped and somehow make this seem more professional

Oh man you're in for a treat! Jomez is the best in the biz, their post production quality is incredible and only gets better year over year!
There is no bigger sport!
Glad to have ya 👊
Unbeatable production quality
easily the best tourney thumbnail
Yes Nate with the late follow up joke again! Love it
That caught me by surprise and I laughed out loud!
loving the form reviews!
@JomezPro every tourney you guys just keep getting better. That was one of, if not the best intros I seen on your videos. Nice work.
I love the thumbnail. Calvin Heimburg standing in a thick bush.
Lol not at all surprised to see Thomas Gilbert on the drone shot for hole 1's preview. That man is a magnet for cameras!!
I really enjoy seeing the way Jomez covers the round even after watching the live coverage; top tier stuff right here
i prefer this over the live
So you watch both? I would find it almost pointless idk.
Look at all the fans! Such a cool course for the fans to watch these amazing players shred some big shots!
Such an unforgettable experience in person. Playing this course on the other hand … ha

What a fun round of disc golf to watch! Was there to watch the back 9, and what a finish!!
Great way to kick off the work week! Thank you Jomez!!!

I think the word we were looking for around 23:00 (transition to Hole 6) to describe the motion was "languid"

I'm guessing they choose before the throw which throw to show case. They probably set up specific cameras in specific places etc.

What a card. Super excited to watch!
The best openings of any sports production. Thanks, Jomez! Got my coffee. Now to see what happened in the final round.

Had to drop out on this vid and then come back to it. As fate would have it, I tuned back in just before Uli said "if you are just joining us..." 🤣
