I think they should be strung up immediately, if they're 100% sure they have the right person of course. String em up IMMEDIATELY! So all other predators see what will happen. They won't get to sit in prison and eat and sleep and go on living off tax payer money. Nope... They showed their innocent victim no mercy, so they should be shown no mercy too. That's just my opinion. These monsters will only re-offend. Period. So stop them before they victimize another innocent life.

Problem was, he wasn’t a stranger. He played with us in the complex regularly and we knew him to be our “friend”. When the police asked us if we had seen any strangers, of course we said no because he wasn’t a stranger to us. He was “Mr. 😛 man” because we would always blow our tongues at him and he would reciprocate. It never occurred to our 9 and 10-year-old selves that it was not normal for a random young adult to play with a bunch of kids.

Most police officers would probably have taken a cursory look, especially since nothing was actually stolen, and then shoved off. I've finally figured it out: This Real Crime channel shows Canadian stories? I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Japanese-American. Since 2012, Vancouver BC has become my favorite vacation spot. As soon as I heard "Cloverdale," my eyes perked up! When they said "A suburb of Surrey," I got REAL excited! This story is right up my alley! I am most fascinated with cases in Washington, Oregon and British Columbia, because I can place myself at the scenes of the crimes. I'm watching this for the first time, and can already tell that this is going to be a great episode.

I'm not surprised parents may appear guilty in these cases. The often do feel guilty that they took their eyes off their kids, or let them play outside.....it's not the parents fault. It's the monsters among us who are guilty. How many kids - and even adult women, have been abducted from their beds in the middle of the night? I saw a case earlier where a maintenance guy was obsessed with a tenant in an apartment complex and she had turned him down for a date. She already had a boyfriend and had no interest in anyone else. Well he had a key fob to her apartment and he got in and waited for her. He abducted her at 5,30pm in the afternoon, getting her out of her bedroom window and into his vehicle with nobody seeing or hearing anything. He kept her prisoner somewhere and abused her for days and then he killed her. Investigators found her bedroom door barricaded from the inside and the only way out was through her bedroom window. And she had room mates but they weren't home at the time - the killer knew when to make his move. When the cops got inside her room they found a little bit of blood on her pillow case - he must have knocked her out before he dragged her out the window. Anyway, he was caught because of the key fob records in the office. It shows what time he entered her apartment, and how she entered soon after and he was waiting for her....there was no key fob record of either of them leaving through the front door.
My point is that we are not even safe in our own homes, day or night.

Even with all those years in prison, the accused's freedom will depend on a parole board that will decide his/her fait. Please check the Canadian case of Paul Bernardo
That been said, still there are cases when very dangerous criminals get paroled long before the end of their sentence and that is wrong either in Canada,England or Australia.

The investigators as usual, was lucky that a dispatcher came forward with info about the car being seen in the park. Most crimes are solved by the public not over payed investigations. Police officers do not prevent crimes and only show up after the fact. Protect yourselves and your family, trusting no one. Arm your loved ones with knowledge about how criminals could be anywhere and what to look for. Unfortunately this little girl should have known not to go looking at bird pics in this man's house. Criminals look for weak prey and this young girl didn't have a chance because she was not trained what to do or look for. Breaks my heart as I have several kids and have trained them all in situation awareness and self defense. Give your kids the tools to prevent abduction and be aware of their surroundings or one of them could be next. It's sad that we have to do this but the alternative is far much worse.
