it's funny hearing them talking about you in viet.. "there's so many westerners filming etc"
I heard what they said when Chris walked past them. LMAO
Of course, everything has gone up since covid..even in the US.Seems like you want them for nothing..everyone has to make something
What were they saying?

btw great info. on the haggling 👍
I haven't been back in VN for a long time. The last time I was there I didn't mine paying a little bit over the "regular" price for cheap stuff but if I want something expensive then I asked my local relatives to find and buy it for me.
On the Rolexes there’s about three or four different grades of quality. So the bottom level of quality yeah they used to be really cheap but the top level of quality they don’t keep in the show cases. The lower quality watches are in the showcases. The lower the price the quality.
Good video! Shows exactly what goes on. Thank Chris
Wow your Vietnamese is getting better thanks so much for your video.
We ate there a couple of days ago, great value for money! Didnt go for shopping at all
Hey man was just wanderinf if you could remind me again what is the bank that has zero or low fees from Australia to international
Thank you for your video.
You don't think it's better to go to Saigon square? I think there are more choices and it's a little cheaper.
Sup! Brotha, the better money exchange one is "Ha Tam Jewelry"? I couldn't get it from the vid.
HA Tam money exchange is better than Mai Van because Mai Van has a tendency to give smaller notes that are dirty or slightly more worn, but never had that issue with Ha Tam. Also if you ever want to find the best place and a good bargain in S.E.A then follow the Koreans, they're the smart ones when it comes to that sort of thing. I am not joking , they travel quite a lot & they're pretty savvy travelers in the region.
Was at An Ðong market and they were selling t-shirt and short sets for 700k. Outrageous prices and they weren’t budging which was crazy.
Hello brother, could you please tell me Polo Ralph Lauren shirts price range in ben thanh market. Also which is best & cheaper B.T. or saigon square or Hanoi markets ?
Thanks for this great video. Do the vendors prefer payment in their local currency or USD? Does anyone else here know?
Always pay in dong the local currency
Kia ora - heading over in June. Would be keen for guided walk round
Last year I found a seller on the street in old auarter selling tshirts for 100k. Showing as fixed price. Good to know they only pay 20 for it
When it comes to a couple of dollars,i couldnt be bothered to go back n forth
Do they get cash? Or card?
They are on to you negotiating the prices. I can hear them talking in the background 😂
Yooo they have 4X Shirts? That's awesome
A little advise....come back to the ben thanh market at night time....but instead of in the benthan market....go outside of it.....they sell more more & more cheaper that in that ben thanh......
Agree with the sneakers, the fake ones tend to be tighter than the real one, at least the Nike ones. The fake New Balance's and most running shoes are a pretty good deal though.
Love your shopping videos plus I’ll be there in September so this was so so helpful.
Is Ben Thanh or Saigon Square best for shopping for LV or Dior for good quality? Unless you are aware if a particular store that has the best quality? ❤
For properly quality you’d likely have to go to one of the malls in sai gon
What is the actual quality of the fake Rolex? The one in Korea were complete shit. My guess is they come from the same place.
That lady with the Man City jersey going hard.. lol.. 50k fi dat
Price increased!!! They went ham
12:29 Are those real?
17:14 Whats the gold price per oz buy and sell price!? I really got to know!!
!
!
So if we are excellent negotiators, we can save $.80? I think I would rather spend my spare time learning Vietnamese than negotiating for $.80.
Would a dude be able to finde double edge razor blades at that market?
So even a NorthFace backpack 200-250 K $10.75 . Nice
Can you buy the shoes in bulk and ship them to us
Same thing in Malaysia. Vendors didn’t want to be on camera. My guess, and obviously just a guess is they’re beginning to get in trouble.
My follow up guess is in 5-10 years they won’t be able to sell a lot of it
I love you. Lol. Put them on their toes 😅
so you say it cheap and shirt will have hole in a week, where do you get quality clothes if possible 🙏
Get them made/tailored probably
How do they make a living selling the same craps as 20 other vendors in the same building?
By charging 15-20 times the value of said crap.😊
Top G testing the market.. good information.. comparing between pre and post covid...
Pretty girl ❤❤❤
Did you ever get sick from eating at Ben Thanh?
I’ve eaten there like hundreds of times at all the stalls and never gotten sick.
Please can you help me connect with the lady that sells shirts at 80k , i own a store in Africa
He won't reply😂
😎👍
Sin ciao
Highly overpriced market , seller expect sometime double the price for fake product
Yeah, basically its the same to worse quality than what a plain 100% cotton t-shirt will be from a UK supermarket. £3-£4 / 90-120k dong, as the vid suggests.
cai xau ho? nguoi nuoc ngoai cung biet duoc tay? cua nguoi minh
what saved my ass at Ben Than Market was having my VN fiance with me. she was able to talk/understand/make sure i didnt get hosed.
Looks like you put on a few kilos. Food must be good.
Did you check the name of his channel?
At places Chợ BT I generally assume a 500% markup. So whatever price they ask, assume it's actually worth 1/5 of that. You might be able to talk them down to 2/5 of the cost, but no lower, because they probably lose face if they can't price gouge the foreigner a little bit. Bear in mind, also, they're getting gouged themselves by the landlord.
Naw they been in those stalls forever most own generations rather then rent. I have videos on it
@@fatandbroke do you? Any links?
10:17 Food recommendation???
DO NOT EAT HERE, it is absolutely crawling with roaches up from the gutters. stop by at night and at closing to see the bonanza for yourself lol. Then they have the little flat roaches even in the day with people.
I believe you mate. Southeast Asian coach roaches, especially those in Vietnam, can be as long as our middle fingers. Btw, there aren’t just roaches, there’s also rats running around at night. I’d rather spend more $$ and eat at legit restaurants.
@@Owlerycrinkie0918 Higher class rats n roaches ?
All of Ho Chi Minh is crawling with roaches and rats. The food at Ben Thanh is still delicious lol.
Chris learned alot about price hustling in VN...You gotta hustle with these store sellers. Nice Chris nice.
