Gp kit + city pack + gt trim. This one is well optioned
Thanks! I picked up an old options price list from back in the day. The city pack was £500. Can't find reference to how much the GP kit was, not cheap I suspect. It also has the ambient lighting (£200) too.
Just collected a 59 plate, 3 owner one this week. We're in the same boat mate albeit I hope not to find too many issues!
Awesome! Good to hear another one getting some decent treatment. Enjoy 👌👍
I just wanted to add that through all of your comments, messages and a little more research; i've learned so much more about this car so wanted to share my thanks to everyone, love the car community ♥
The next video will be all about sorting some of the little niggles and stuff that's bothering me about it. Stay tuned.
At a glance you have TEIN lowering springs , poly bush engine mount insert and possibly a tegiwa single exit exhaust. That filter is just a breather , usually there’s a rubber pipe that goes from there to the intake tube
Thanks so much man, I think you're bang on with the Tegiwa having a second look. It'll be confirmed when it gets on the ramp soon. I'll check the breather is setup properly. Cheers 🙏
I think the fog light was missing as this may have been used as the air intake for a turbo charger
I would make the roof rust your priority. My old 11 plate Civic started off like yours and got really bad pretty fast. On a separate note if you don't like the GP kit and happen to be based in the North East I might be interested in taking it off your hands :) Great vid btw 👍
Thanks mate, good to know. The rust is barely noticeable at the moment but I'll be investigating it in the spring. I'm warming to the GP kit but will let you know if I decide to swap. Thanks for the kind comment 👍😎
I bought an alabaster silver 59 plate on Nov 2nd, loving it so far. If you're going for a Type R badge for the front grill don't get the eBay cheapies because the bolts are too big to fit through the grill. Genuine ones from Cox Motorparts aren't cheap but they're not silly money, around £85 iirc
I'm a big fan of the FN2 in silver, looks so sharp with it's body lines. Has to be genuine parts all way way, I've had so many ebay badges that never last. Is there any guide on the correct position for the grille badge? It might just be a case of placing it by eye.
@@GeesDrive I still haven't decided where to put mine, I've seen pictures of the high, I've seen pictures of them low, and I've seen them in the middle, aligned with the bonnet lip, aligned with the bumper, or totally horizontal. The ones that seem to look best to me are mounted low, but matching the angle of the bonnet lip. I'm going to look at more photos now :D
I found a copy of the original accessories brochure and it sits a little lower to the right. I have the PDF if you need it and I'll see if there is any guide in the honda manual.
It’s the seal on the window that’s causes the rust on roof. It rubs the paint away because it expands and contracts with the change in temp and rubs it to the bare metal thus the rust starting. It’s a common issue and was a time you could get it sorted under warranty. You can change it out to a better softer seal from coxmotorspares.
I read about that issue, luckily it's not too bad on mine. I've ordered a few bits from them, seem like a decent group to deal with.
That gear knob looks like the same one I have in my fk2 type r, if it is it’s weighted so the gearshift will feel much better than with a standard weight one.
You know it's interesting you say that, I've just picked up a standard knob and it's so dam heavy! It really surprised me tbh. I actually really like the Skunk one so it may well be staying, thanks for the info mate and I do love an FK - my top pick CTR 👌
@@GeesDrive yeah it’s funny the difference it makes, you’d be welcome to review mine if ever you’d like for the channel. It’s not standard but I think your crowd would enjoy it. I’m down south nr Brighton
Thanks @@samwilde595, yeah that could be interesting! All the best 👍
enjoy...i love my Fn2 . great cars. normally people do cold air intakes on these and they put the breather filter on the rocker cover so they dont have rubber lines extending down anywhere. it looks like your intake was returned to stock...mostly.
They're so good, what have you got? That makes so much sense as I couldn't figure out why there would just be a breather filter on there. That's it now, I have to re-fit a cold air intake 😂 Thanks mate 👍
@@GeesDrive dude ive tried many times to reply with mod list...but youtube keeps stripping my posts
Goto Dynodaze performance parts.. they are the best and most honest supply and modification speed house IMO.
Do the CPL big bore intake with battery relocate
japspeed 421 header
RRC intake manifold ( dont do a skunk2 Pro)
ECUTEK and dyno will net you approx 230BHP
tell em i sent you. theyll look after you.

Thanks mate, I'll take a look 👍 👌
I'll buy the bumper scoops of you 👍🏻
Once I get the fogs done, i'll let you know 👍🏻
Fun cars only got hate because of Clarkson
Exactly that, better for us as it keeps the prices lower. I remember watching that episode of TG, my dad was pissed as it was the same time he collected his 😂
Haha, people are still pi**ed at him, because it was so lame. This car is so much fun and you don't have to go on a track, like he did. You still see them on tracks like in Germany's Nürburgring. I hope to drive mine there, one day [I don't want to crash it haha]
You don’t seem to Rev it properly, why did you change gear too early instead of at 8000rpm?
At that time the pressure plate was toast and used to slip in high revs, much better with the new clutch 👍
@@GeesDrive ah fair enough, hate it when the clutch stops play!
Yeah it really sucks. The old clutch was actually fine when it came off and had plenty of wear left annoyingly, just the pressure plate was done 😅
How much did you pay ?
Just over £5k. Prices seem to be great value at the moment.
Bought a nice red 10 plate for just over 4 recently. Nice motor
