- Keeping the Civic refresh moving, in this episode i've swapped out the old aftermarket exhaust for standard, installed a panel filter, fitted Tegiwa spacers (15mm front, 20mm rear) and tried out some really easy rust protection.

Spacers are Tegiwa 15mm front and 20mm rear. Car is on Tien lowering springs too👍
Fab tweaks. Keep up the good work 💪
Great job.
Hi mate, thanks for putting this video together. What is the tool that you start using at 12:52 to start removing the rust?
It's a dremel tool with the cable extension on and the ire-brush attachment. Gets in all the nooks and crannies.
Only just found your channel (I'm a fellow Red FN2 owner), and I've already watched half a dozen of your videos. Out of Interest what size spacers did you end up fitting as it's not mentioned in the video. It looks like you've got two different sizes, so I'd be interested in what you've fitted front and rear. Keep up the great work, you've earned yourself another Subscriber 🙂
Hey thanks man, really appreciate it! Nice to hear from a fellow FN2 owner. The spacers are Tegiwa 15mm front and 20mm rear. Really nice quality too 👌
as a person who used to have a Cheery Bomb on his MK2 golf, I get the point of a little too much noise :)
I had a twin pipe upswept DTM on my MK2, would love another MK2 now :)
Lanoguard is fab.
Really impressive stuff, still doing the job 3 months in keeping most of the salt and grime out.
My OEM exhast needs replacing and so I've ordered the Scorpion resonated twin exit system. I wanted something quiet and as close to OEM as possible. Could be a good option for you in the future.
That's a great shout as OEM exhausts are getting hard to come by. Thanks for the recommendation 👍
@@GeesDrive I looked on Cox Motor Parts for a full OEM system but some of the parts are on back order and/or unavailable. The Scorpion system seems like a good compromise... Will find out when I get it fitted next week. 👌🏻
have you used grease everywhere or just what shown on video?
I just used the moto grease on the more vulnerable areas like bolt heads. The rest just got a spray over. The grease is basically more heavy duty protection 👍
I see this rust issue in england is it because of the weather? Does this happen for all cars?
Main reason it that it seemingly rains all the time here but also the local authorities spray the roads with salt/grit during winter to help stop the roads freezing. This stuff is really bad for cars.
Hi. I have a 2011 FN2 GT. Honda keep reminding me i need new exhaust heat shields on each of the last two services although i have no rattling. Have you experienced any issues seeing that you swapped your exhaust system?
I've not had any obvious issues with the heat-shield although they're in pretty ropey condition on mine. Perhaps that's what they mean.
@GeesDrive cheers. I'd like to put a cat back stainless system on mine in the future but think I'll replace the heat shields first then. Great to see a fellow FN2 enthusiast channel. 👍
Hi mate I'm interested to know also what size spacers you have front and rear as looking to do the same good videos keep up the good work 👍
Thanks! Appreciate the nice comment. The spacers are Tegiwa 15mm front and 20mm rear. Really nice quality 👌
@@GeesDrive brilliant they are the ones I've been looking at so thanks much appreciated 😀
Are you selling the exhaust you took off?
Sorry mate, it's already sold. It's a really nice exhaust, I would recommend it, just not for me with daily activities 👍
If you want to keep those engines alive and well stay away from K&N filters except you are going for a track day. Cheers
The sound increase is minimal to be honest so I put the original back in 👍
