I have this case, the only problem is you cannot use a decksaver, while the lid is on, something I did previously with my RX2 case, made by swanflight, the cable management is a bit strange as well, with the cables having to be placed through the two holes, on the removable board, which is stuck down with velcro. The wheels are a bonus, yes it’s a heavy case but fits the RX3 nicely.
Hey, I agree it looks the bizniz with the Black and Pioneer DJ logo 😍 And it will protect the console when in transit, however its a shame you have to put the leads in or detach before you can put the lid on so I might have to also buy the see through cover!
Your opinion is appreciated.. I have also a pair of CDJ400s and DJM400 mixer which I bought new in 2009. I was happily mixing Raw (Non-Rekordbox) USBs on the 400 setup. However it wasn't Rekordbox compatible and my mentor was adamant I get a Rekordbox capable console and in the end I got the RX3 beginning of April partly cause I thought I needed a licence for Rekordbox software on my new i7 laptop. Cut a long story short I used the software on laptop not even connected to RX3 and burnt some Rekordboxed USBs. So did I need the RX3 and it's hardcoded licence. Or is it that Rekordbox software on laptop configures itself with the hardcoded licence just once and after that it doesn't need to be connected to the RX3?! Hope that makes sense. I am not tight but did I really need to spend £1900 including flightcase, couldn't I just download free Rekordbox and burn USBs through it for when I play out!?
Basically I need reassurance that my purchase of RX3 was wise as I already had CDJ400 setup and free Rekordbox on my laptop! I know the RX3 is amazing but for my basic requirements did I really need it!? Because if I didn't really need it I can take a couple hundred hit and sell it while it's in warranty and just carry on using my CDJ400s at home and Rekordbox on my laptop to burn USBs for when I play out!
👍 So the wires coming out the back of the unit aren’t run anywhere through an opening at the back, much like the slide out panel like the front? You need to do a review of the RX3 mate
When you put the XDJ-RX3 in and connect it with the speakers can you then still close the flight case? So when i am at home and not using it, it is protected.
its quite heavy, but manageable. in truth mine hasn't done any rolling so I can't comment. just carry it mainly. I would only roll it on smooth floors, in which case I don't foresee any problems.
I ordered mine 2 months ago when I bought the RX3, it still hasn't arrived and they are saying August 2023 because of some supply and demand issues with Pioneer! BTW the Opus Quad isn't quite the ZX2 that everyone was hoping for, so I am glad I bought the RX3, its probably the best standalone at the moment until ZX2 arrives, but even then I don't need 4 channels pro linked I just need to put my 1210s into it and just use it as an audio mixer for vinyl on the switchable channels on each of the 2 faders!
