The first printing that went into production of the mask of the phantasm book was that small digest sized book (which was a 64 page exclusive specially made) that came with the vhs cassette of the movie in the 90s. I explicitly remember that because I made sure my aunt bought the deluxe version so I could get the book and my little cousin could have the movie. That red cover is a secondary print run and it was made in standard comic size and then sold about a year after they released the deluxe version with the movie’s home release. If you wanna have a true first print of this issue (if you plan to buy in the first place) I would look for the smaller version that’s digest sized.
Really cool video. Love The DCAU ! I have issue 28 and 16 , and I think this video just convinced me to try to get all these runs in collected editions.
This video was so helpful thanks guys much appreciate keep making more content like this and I just downloaded the key collectors its awsome and thanks for the free week
This was a great segment guys! Already bought and received some of the books off this list. With content like this Tom, your new super power should be "economy stimulator". 👏👍
Love the content and I love these book. Just for consideration RE: Mr. Freeze origin...BTAS did retcon but Batman issue 121 was the original origin of Mr. Zero. Both are correct because yes, BTAS Mr. Freeze is the Freeze we've all come to know/love.
before the virus out break. i walked into a comics shop here in Ohio and bought Batman & Robin Adventures 8 for $3.50 simple because i just liked the cover (and the show of course) but i just had to have it. If what your saying is right A. the shop did not know what they had, and B. i got it for a steal!
#8... I can't stop looking at how wonky Bruce Timm drew Harley's eyes. One of em is waaaaaaay up on her forehead, the other is waaaaay down on her cheek. How has nobody noticed this before?
#7 I have this in some weird package school edition with pencil and notebook and with previous or next issue in the series. Never opened :) Just wonder if it's worth more than regular version...
superman adventures ought to go up at some point as well, like i found #64 for 50 cents and it was a world's finest epic with Terry McGinnis Batman?!? i could see it becoming a popular issue because of it's cool cover and great spreads on the interior, as well as it being a unique world's finest comic
Would like to know how the Animated Magazine Superman Batman count or important it is , cause the heores that we see in there , was actual a longhair Superman and and
I had to watch this for the Animated Series! I used to have all these until a "friend" sold them all without my permission while I moved to Washington. At least I was able to complete my collection of the DC Collectibles Animated figure run with part of the recent stimulus money.
Batman the animated series set American animated comic television shows back 20 years...after this Batman series all marvel and dc shows followed that hookey art aesthetic and BAS format
Dude, I don’t know what show you were watching but the Batman animated series I saw pushed animation ITSELF forward as a whole about 20 years. Any other show that tried mimicking it may have been a little watered down and bad but look at the shows that it helped influence: adventure time, powerpuff girls, dexters lab, samurai jack, spectacular spider man, the avengers and the list goes on. You may have just been following some bad shows and then blamed it on BTAS but it’s just not a true statement.
I wouldn’t have known about this Channel if it weren’t for Arris and his channel and learning more about my comics worth. You guys are awesome!

I’m primarily a Silver Age Marvel guy, you’re making want to get back into Batman with this list.
Love those Art Deco/Bruce Timm art. Timm Oeming, and Cooke are/were the best at that.
I love that the perceived wisdom '90's books are worth nothing' is gradualy being eroded.
I love the Batman animated series. I am a 90s kid and now wanting to relive my childhood anime’s

Those dc universe logo comics are awesome. Every single one I see in the wild I pick em up!
Joker looks awesome on #9
Batman Adventures #25 has also a beautiful pin-up by Kelley Jones. Only one piece he did for animated universe ever.
#8... I can't stop looking at how wonky Bruce Timm drew Harley's eyes. One of em is waaaaaaay up on her forehead, the other is waaaaay down on her cheek. How has nobody noticed this before?
A great selection of Batman Adventure books!!
My two favorite comic guys on one video. 10.0
Cool to see BA#36's DCU slug variant getting some attention....BA#8 also has a DCUniverse slug variant...just saying...

9:09 what was that?! Had to pause the video because I was laughing so hard.
Sometimes you gotta get funky with the edits 😂
Mystery Mail Call, May hot keys are awesome!
On number 9. Are you talking the red cover full size issue or the red cover mini?
What about Batman and Robin Adventures Annual 1? Goes for more than most on that list.
Just found this but loved it! Love me some Batman adventures
#7 I have this in some weird package school edition with pencil and notebook and with previous or next issue in the series. Never opened :) Just wonder if it's worth more than regular version...
Surprised you didn’t mention annual #1 was first Roxy Rocket
Me: I need to cool it on my comic spends
Also me: hmm maybe I'll just watch all these books on eBay
