    how fast does it spool? did you go from a stock gtp38 with .84 ex-housing to the 38R? did you keep the stock 1.0ex on the 38r? i have stock suspension/tires on my 4.10 zf6 truck and tend to tow heavy so ive been debating spending the extra money on the 38r .84ex housing. i dont want it to be laggy.

    New Adrenaline HPOP restored ALOT of power! Faster starts and much smoother running, even in colder (20 deg F) temperatures. Love the truck man! I'm actually a big dodge guy, I'd love to own a 2nd gen manual cummins myself but I'm actually looking into a few zf6 7.3s because they're crew cabs (I have kids lol) and I've always kinda had a soft spot for these trucks. If you didnt mind my asking, about how much did you have into this truck at this point?

    • @cavemanjoe79

      Just look around for a good one with a good owner, found my 2000 crew cab six speed a few years ago and bought it for $9,500. I'll say when I'm done with the maintenance\ restore I'll be into it a total of $20,000, including the price of the truck.

    • @jthomas7829

      I had the ts6 with the standard tunes, ran good but was a bit smokey on the higher settings. Switched to a PHP hydra from swamps diesel and have it loaded with their custom tunes. Truck runs better across the board, less smoke and more power. It's an expensive upgrade but definitely worth it.

    • @jthomas7829
      @jthomas7829  7 років тому +1

      Casey Martin I would say slower than stock but don't have much drive time with a stock 7.3 turbo. It's a compromise between pressure and volume. Gtp38r with larger housing moves more air but has lower psi
