I go behind the scenes at Vistara Airlines training center to see how the airline trains its newly recruited cabin crew. Many of them were on their first day of airline training starting with imaging and makeup. The trainer talks about the expectation of the new hires. Then, I visited a recurrent training talking about how to deal with unruly passengers in India.
At the training center, I met with Vistara CEO Vinod Kannan. He spoke about the merger plan with Air India and how the airline is still expanding fast despite the merger process.
Next, I flew out of Delhi to Bangkok on Vistara A321neo. The airport in Delhi was busy and the Air India lounge left a lot to be desired. There are flatbed seat in Business Class on Vistara A321neo. During the flight, I explored the aircraft, product offering, and food menu.
I agree Sam, Jet airways was truely one of the best airlines before in India. I have flown with them for more then 20+ times across different fleets that they had and they never failed to disappoint. On almost every international flight on Jet airways, they would provide 3 options for hot meals even if they deployed B737-800s. They were truely the best!

@@mandi206No LOL! 😂 Ethiad came on board when Jet Airways was losing money. Because, they were losing money their quality had also started deteriorating. Jet Airways was great when it first started international operations though and during it's peak!

I flew with Vistara last fall twice; they were so good with the service. The speed of how in-flight service was performed was 10/10! It was an hour-long flight, and they served food in economy!

Like some of my friends are saying like this is not good at all..like I am very much confused and a little disappointed with what they are saying..they are saying like vistara is not good and asked me why I dint go for Emirates or Singapore airlines.. hoping for a positive feed back regarding this matter

Earlier we had King Fisher airlines with high standards and much sought after airline and prestigious. Unfortunately because of some wrong policies it was shut. Now Vistara is taking its place.

Am so happy you flew this airline I flew them last month out of port Blair to Delhi this airline is truly one of indias best.

I love sir Ratan TATA. He always tried his best to put India on the global map.
Ratan Tata retired long back my friend. He is no longer driving Tata Sons or taking decisions. Tata Sons current chairman N Chandrasekaran is the mind behind the current AI acquisition. He is the one taking and driving decisions. Give credit where it is due, instead of blindly tagging Ratan Tata everywhere just to appear cool.
He literally said Air India has a long way to go, it needs to improve on many things to meet world-class service.

The only problem is that Vistara have very few direct flights in the majority of Indian cities.
If you stay in town or village then it’s not Vistara’s issue . It’s a premium airline.

i cried when jet airways shut...one of the best ever..i remember 14 years ago when i was 4 i was crying and my mom was having a hard time...the airhostess took me with them and they also showed me the cockpit and also as i was the only kid in that flight with airhostess accompanying me i was able to sit in the jumpseat in the taxiing process...i saw a lot of buttons and mostly because of their hospitality of the crew and especially the pilots today im aiming to b a pilot and do my majors in aerospace engineering just coz of them...THANK YOU JET AIRWAYS you guys shaped my life!!

well indian aviation has a long way to go but still happy about their recent developments , fingers crossed hope to see indian airlines compete with western airlines .
More than western, middle eastern or Asian. In the west there are good ones like KLM, Finnair etc. But Lufthansa is average and functional. Food is crap. So is BA. Heathrow baggage handling is terrible. And low cost . Ryanair and easyJet worse than indigo. Asian airlines should be the benchmark at least. ANA, JAL, Korean, SIA etc.
Hope so they will compete with top Airlines. Because India got potential
Most important from traveller's point of view is 1.safety. 2.good fresh clean inflight food and drink. 3. Clean seats. 4. Clean spacious toilets. Airhostesses with make up flashy looks are not important at all.

Vistara, Indigo & Jet first choice within India but prefer Gulf Carriers on western sojourn and Cathay Pacific on the eastern side. I wish we have direct flights from all Metro cities and also include Hyderabad and Bangalore in the list.

The biggest risk the Indian industry faces is overexpansion. It's happened before.
Great to feature the latest recruits and see them so passionate about their new jobs. Also shows how ethnically diverse India is which many people don't realise.

We have a special fast track check in process called the digiyatra which unfortunately not available to the foreigners as they don't possess AADHAR cards. We can check in much faster using digiyatra.

Hey I’m in Sales, me and my colleagues in sales have to visit different parts of India very frequently, almost every week. Some of my fellow colleagues make tantrums in office if they don’t get vistara flights…I saw few of them shouting rudely to our Admin/Travel desk. Sometimes I’ve noticed that some of us rescheduled their business trips only to get the Vistara flights.
If you put aside office tantrums, I think it’s a great deal of pride for Vistara to set a world class experience even in economy class that almost every frequent business traveler put Vistara on top requested flight options.

You really got to do a video about why plenty of airlines crew doesn't prefer to fly to and from India. There is a very common reason most aircrew would say. Is their behavior and etiquette the moment they step into the airport and the aircraft.
It's the passenger behaviour! Some behave as though they have two extra horns! Especially those CORRUPT HOOLIGAN POLITICIANS!😀

The female cabin crew greeting at the door at 11:48 doesn't seem a bit interested in welcoming guests and seem annoyed. Perhaps they should put someone else at the front to greet people.
Sam, great too see you travelling in indian airline, it was nice off you to praise the food but some how i feel airlines food quality & presentation both have become very poor, this kind of food they're serving that to in business surprised , back in 80's even in economy class food was way too good than today's so called business class, feeling really sad for today's people who'll never be able to experience that and don't want say anything regarding cabin crew, thanks a ton for coming to India hope you enjoy your time. 🙏🌹💖

Hi Sam, are you planning on featuring the new terminal in Bangalore (T2)? If you do plan on doing so, please try and talk to the head of landscaping for the terminal, he has a wealth of knowledge about the terminal and the level of effort they have put into it is frankly extraordinary. It's a repository of plants and trees from across the planet, quite a few endangered species that are on the brink of extinction, and the airport has taken it upon themselves to try and save them.

This is what I like about Sam's videos. You see behind the scenes, the people, what goes behind, training, Interviews etc. which we would never be able to see as a normal passenger. Its like a documentary on Discovery/TLC channel. I don't get the criticisms he gets from some other whinny vloggers as well as viewers.
I agree with you as well on this and Sam is one of the best out there!! He is one of the best out there and the other vloggers can only dream of reaching his level. Keep up the great work Sam!!
