CORRECTIONS: 1:40:59 - The patrol of Grunts below us should also have been made aware. Enemies become aware when they have LoS on any operative that performs an attack.
Congratulations! I find that this format is one of the best format for learning the rules and seeing how the game plays out: seeing the rules in action really brings something. I also like that you don't ponder your moves for long, while still playing well: this is useful, for games with more rules to go through, like this one.
FWIW I ponder my turns a bunch, I just cut it out in the edit :) Frequently 5-20 minutes happen between turns, sometimes full days go by mid-turn and I hope no one notices my shirt changed color :P Glad you enjoyed this and found it useful!
I am so glad I found your channel. You have an absolutely amazing ability to teach games. I’ve only ever met one other person to teach close to your ability. What a great gift. Thanks so much for doing this. I subscribed right away!!
I try to not repeat rules TOO many times, but at least some repetition is important to help solidify them. My hope with these videos is that you feel almost like you'd played the game yourself already, so your first play will feel close to a second play.
Great vid. I've been loving this game. You used the night vision goggles to get a movement token which is brillant. I never even thought to do that. At 1:41:10 - the yellow group of enemies to the south would have immediately become aware. P16 - Enemies become aware if an attack is made from a zone within the LOS. While they don't have Los to the operative, they do to the zone.
Hmm, that's not how I interpreted it and this was not noticed by the designer of the game. Unless I'm mistaken, they don't have line of sight to that zone because the door and wall are in the way.
@@GettingGamesactually, I missed this one. Enemies become aware if and an operative makes it an attack from a zone that the Enemy can drawn LoS to. Sorry, missed that one!
At 1:39:00 for the Dominator attack. I believe 7 successes are needed as shooting through door gives Dominator cover (+2 Defense). EDIT: I saw later in the video, the operative did get +2 Defense for reverse situation.
Quality content, as always. Really felt like I'd played the game after watching this. One question. Where did you get that padded, hexagonal, wooden dice tray? It looks very quiet which is something I'm looking for and can't find anywhere.
Thank you for this video. I had the game out a few times and I keep getting stuck and can't easily find the answers in the rulebook. I'm usually very good at following a rulebook but for some reason this one was harder for me.
I have a question: Where did you buy your dice tray ? I'm verry curious because I love the wood of it and the simplicity. Otherwise a big thanks for the presentation, I will pledge it as soon as I see it ^^ Love it !
It is indeed the final version of the rules! There are quite a few changes, mostly lots of streamlining to things like stealth, spawn cards, enemy units not spawning with mixed enemy types, removal of the initiative targeting rule, etc. Quite a bit changed for the better :)
Dark Horizon Games posted this video on their FB page along with this quote "JonGetsGames just released a new how to play video! This replaces his original video that used an older version of the rules."

I'm so glad you found this helpful, thank you for the kind words!
Very useful. I finished painting my copy this morning and so want to get it to the table now.
Marvelously comprehensive and easy to follow! Great amount of repeated rules info

@@stevekozlowski5963 Thanks for the correction notice, I've added it to the Klingon subtitles.
1:10:59 The blast effect also means that the noise emanates from the target zone, not from the operative's zone.
Great video Jon, can't wait to get my copy to the table
1:09:03 Stunned enemies also don't force you to disengage to move out of their zone, and their defensive abilities are inactive.
Game arrived today so perfect timing!
Thanks, picked-up several minor rules we were overlooking!
Excellent video. Thank you very much!

Billy's weapon has an attachment that adds Accuracy. His attacks ignores cover.

Glad you found this helpful. The dice tray was hand made and given to me, so it is not purchasable. Sorry!

Is this a new version? Any changes as compared to the video 2 years ago?

Holy Shyte! 2 Hours to get an overview on how it plays not even a setting up?? ..ugh...well I was interested...LOL
When you attacked the warleader with Olivia, shouldn't he have been stunned by the baton?
The Warleader in this mission is immune to stun because he is kind of a "mini boss". He also has increased health per the mission rules
