But great review! Everything so far is much better about the c930! But the built in audio sounds all modulated and choppy while the 920 audio is nice and clear (even though chalky) Nice and clear. I think Im gonna be purchasing the 930! Thanks man!
6 years later, and we're still thinking into buying one of those two. And TBH they both suck as far as image quality goes in 2023, yet, the alternative is an HDMI capture card + digital camera, because even the StreamCams and Brios aren't worth it. Oh, and those two darn cameras are still more expensive than they were 6 years ago, thanks to the freaking pandemic that seems to have ended 2 years ago and tech companies forgot to drop their prices!
Thanks for sharing your review of these two webcams but for some reason your video was not cleared compare to other youtuber's videos. Maybe the upload lost the resolution/pixels or something and also the voice was very low.
C920 sounds better if you disable RightSound - the voice feels less compressed. But then it has some background noise. Anyway, external mic would be much better.
Thanks for the review. Why the c920 is so nasty in terms of quality. It looks like you are inside some fog! Why do they put so much wide angle there? Maybe I don't want to shoot my whole room and don't want their crappy zoom. It's ridiculous that we don't have much competition among webcamera manufacturers. In fact those webcameras are often used in business settings. And quality does matter. Sometimes it matters a great deal! It looks like it's better to use camcorders or DSLRs since they can't crank out a decent webcam.
What video capture software did you use for this? I just got the c930e and can't find any program that records the full 1080p @ 30fps. Can you please help? :-)
Honestly it's a little confusing. All I want to do is record a simple video full screen (no PIP) using sound from an external mic. OBS seems to be for combo webcam/gaming screens, so I'm not sure how to make it work for what I need. I looked at a few tutorials and I'm still not able to make it work right :-(

One that dosent optimise settings for his Room is most time a little bored about his cam. LOL BTW in my case - i allready dont like the big view Angle of the c920 and zoom in alltimes i use it. No one need to see all of my room...
I live in an apartment and your music is too damned loud for watching this at 430 am. I almost jumped out of my chair & I am amazed my neighbor didn't pound on the wall before I could turn the volume down. Please not have it so loud in the future !
Never buy a webcam for its microphone. People should just stop even bothering reviewing them for their mic. It's about the camera. Period. If you're not going to buy a reasonably good microphone you're wasting your time.
@@dillgamezz5753 just found a really nice video that explains the choppiness ua-cam.com/video/PxQI4C4m7CA/v-deo.html both cam uses "right light" technology to adjust the settings like gain, exposure, etc. automatically but the automation makes the cam outputs choppy video when the room is not well lit on c930e, the right light is always on therefore you can't manually control the exposure on the application where as on the c920, the right light is toggleable, you can turn it on or off, if you turn it off, the right light is off and the cam can mantain good video with less choppiness even on darker room, on the other hand with c930e, the cam always have that right light on, so when the room is not well lit, it can't avoid the choppiness from the output that the c930e produced that's the important point that you missed on this video here, but for the other aspect, it's pretty well done :)

need to add- the 4x zoom feature on the C930E is incredible and by itself is worth the price difference in my opinion anyway.

is the sound from a built-in mic or you are using separate microphone?
I believe this guy uses a separate microphone. The built-in mics are okay, but not usually as good as his audio is here.
I don't know much about computers but i'm leaning towards investing in the logitech c930e. Does it have autofocus?
