I just had baby no.3 twelve days ago, and oh my goodness, life is nuts right now. We are in the "embrace the chaos" stage, and I don't actually mind it. I've never been more stretched, and it feels good. I can feel myself growing in real time. It's almost empowering. I'm not scared of anything anymore. We are certainly not stopping at 3!

I love baby stage. The smell of the baby, the constant nursing, baby wearing, endless walks with the stroller. Also looking at my huge husband with a tiny baby in his arms 😊😊 ... but we are also pass the baby stage, our youngest is 3 and I miss it so much. I think I would not enjoy the teenage phase. I dont have teenagers yet, but I have a feeling it is not going to be my vibe 😂

Thank you so much for being honest about not loving the baby stage. What you said about having babies so you could enjoy them as children really hits home for me. So many Mamas in the Christian community are afraid to say that they don’t enjoy the baby stage of life and it can make it feel very lonely when you are just not loving it.

Yes! My husband and I have 4. I absolutely love being pregnant but neither one of us like the baby stage, it's a stage we have to get through. It didn't help that all 4 of ours were dairy and soy allergic, had colic and reflux. We adored the toddler stage though which is one of our favorite. Now they are 15, 14, 10, and 7. I am loving this stage of life where they are old enough to entertain themselves without me hovering all the time. We have crazy amounts of school events to attend for concerts, etc. and they can help with the homestead and house chores to help things run more smoothly.

Im right there with you. I spent 10 years having babies. Now that my youngest is 2, for the first time we don't have either a baby in the house or a baby on the way. It feels good to start a new chapter of nurturing the family I have rather than building my family. So many new adventures are on the horizon now that we are done having babies. Its exciting and like you said, restful. I can slowly feel my cup start to fill up again! Great video!

I LOVE that you are taking about not loving the baby stage. We have a 25 month old and a 9 week old. I really don’t like the baby stage. But I want more kids at the same time. Like when I think about having “my kids” over for thanksgiving I picture a full table. I have always felt like the Lord has called me to have a full house but MAN the baby stage is stretching me.

Struggling with this now too. Had all the feelings from wanting them like accessories to not wanting any because my parents had a large family and I didn’t want that life. Then we had our first cause all it takes is two minutes of wanting one ;) and said never again. Felt ready again almost 3 years later. Now second baby is 2 years old and we’re in the tricky stage of happy with what we have and wanting to steward this life and not be too overwhelmed to do a good job with these two but also trying to decided what we hope our life will be like later (the full table thought). But I also do not like the baby stage or most of pregnancy! If only it were black and white! A wise woman from church has told me to not make either decision without praying about it.

I also don't love the baby stage! I've been struggling with this because I've always wanted 4 or 5 kids, but it sounds like such a feat right now with just a toddler and 1 on the way. Great to hear others feel this way too.

Could you make a video on how to create a structured day, please? But also include how it's flexible, i get so lost in how to keep up a lot. Particularly as a mom/homeschool mom. I feel like I get lost because I have never had an example that does it in a healthy manor in my life. I'm currently a mom to two, one four one 10 months, but we really want to grow our family to 5 kids Lord willing. I REALLY loved one of your more recent uploads "Healthy habits of a mom of five". We have 3 children and I am pregnant with our forth and the hard part for me is the toddler stage. Maybe from 2 to 4. Wow. It is just a constant trying to stay calm and collected. And also I have trouble being a stay at home mom. Not earning money myself and not being „independent“ is a constant thought. I was raised to never rely on others and be independent and with having more than 1 or 2 children that is challenging. I love that you found a job and could make that work so successfully! You’re great. 🙂

The baby stage is like survival mode EVEN if it’s such a short time because they grow and develop so quickly in the first year. But I feel this, it’s beautiful but chaotic, stressful and even mentally/emotionally draining (even if you do have a good support group/family to help) Baby completely depends on mom and it can be really easy to let your self care and self love dwindle as you navigate life with a newborn!

And I have to remind myself that you are not in the baby stage. And then you got to talking about that! I am sitting here nursing number three in three years, so it is hard to imagine not having the baby phase. I think it will be fun to have more children, but having more babies is daunting. I love this phase! But it is a lot of big emotions and nap living and never having arms to myself.

The sweet spot of parenting, aka the golden years, has to be when everyone is under 10 and out of diapers. The intense years for me were 4 under 5, and then the 4 teenagers together. Love my teenagers, they are actually really nice, but wow, intense :)

I truly don’t understand what’s the big deal with diapers, maybe I’m a weird person 😅 I have two in diapers atm and it doesn’t bother me at all, it’s the least stressful part of parenting for us! starting to potty train the eldest but with no rush at all.

Maybe it's when you are outside, in the house me too I didn't have any problems with 2 with diapers, but when you are outside you have to carry a suitcase practically and you have to chenge the babies in impossible places... when you are out of diapers phase you go everywhere lightly with your kids and it's much easier.

I just had my second 2 months ago and have a 3 1/2 year old. We aren’t really sure if we want a third but if we did it would be in at least 4 years. I decided that I don’t want to keep any baby stuff as my little grows out of things. Luckily 2 of my best friends are pregnant so I can give away a lot of it and donate the rest. If we do have another down the road I’ll just get new things.
I didn’t mind the baby stage with my first but I can really tell a difference in my energy and healing with a toddler and baby and being a little older so I don’t know if I want to do it again.
I do really like being pregnant so I’m hoping to be a surrogate in the future.
