Sourdough Lemon Berry Muffins:
MAKES 12
(25 minutes prep, 30 minute cook time)
-1 cup bubbly sourdough starter
-1/3 cup softened butter (can use vegan)
-1 1/2 tsp vanilla
-1 cup milk (I use unsweetened cashew milk)
-1 egg
-1/2 cup cane sugar
-1/2 tsp finely grated lemon peel
-1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
-1 tsp baking powder
-1/2 tsp baking soda
-1/2 cup frozen raspberries
-1/2 cup frozen blueberries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl, combine your wet ingredients including the lemon peel and sugar using a beater or stand mixer. Mix until just combined. Lay a sieve overtop of the bowl and put in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and sea salt. Slowly stir the flour mixture in the sieve to combine the dry ingredients while sifting it down into the bowl. Remove the sieve and fold in the ingredients until combined. Add in your berries and fold in again.
Put your batter into your muffin pan. Either grease the cups or use muffin liners. I also like placing these in my silicone muffin pan when I don’t have muffin liners on hand!
Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Store at room temperature for 2 days or in the fridge for 7-10 days!

I am a 22 y/o married girl and you are my biggest inspiration when it comes to motherhood, godly womanhood!
Same here!!
bless youuuu thank you! you just made my day 🥹😘
Same! Im 21 with a 9 month old and her and Delilah are my biggest inspiration
Same!! I'm 22, married with a 2 year old and a 10 month old 😊
I'm 23 and just had my second 2 weeks ago! Sarah is my biggest inspiration, we just have a lot in common
I've never thought of sprinkling cinnamon on sliced apples. I'll have to try that on my kids.
One of my simple pleasures is assembling my kids' little plates. I love making them colorful with healthy food. I love being able to provide them with what they need. That was a fun part of your video.
Cinnamon on apple slices is so good! Sometimes when dinner is eaten up completely and I still have hungry mouths that's a great go to bc it's like dessert too!
Seeing how big your kids have gotten just makes me realize how much I’ve missed seeing you on UA-cam! 🥹❤️
I started watching a little bit before Elizabeth was born and I never missed a video! I’m so glad your back ❤️🫂
How do you remain so calm cooking in your kitchen with 5 kids around?! I'm having a mental breakdown within 10 minutes cause they WONT LEAVE ME ALONE 😂😂😂
Same. Real problems
same like I have to play with them all day XD
Sarah, I am absolutely LOVING these videos! They pair perfectly with a cup of tea and a little slice of cake as an afternoon treat 😍
So happy! Being a SAHM is a wonderful role that encompasses so much more than just cooking and I feel you captured that perfectly! Keep shining your light!
Love this Sarah! Did I tell you it's good to have your presence again?!?! ❤❤
shucks thank YOU! 🧡🥹
Love seeing your videos pop up again!
You have been a big inspiration for me in being a wife and now a mama so thank you for continuing to share!
would love to see a "what I eat in a day" from you, seems like you make so many yummy healthy foods from scratch ☺
I am so grateful you are back Sarah I’ve missed your positivity ❤
I’m 20, I am single currently, but the Lord has been teaching me to be a wife/mom, and preparing me. Your videos have been SO helpful. I’ve told many people “I wanna be her when I grow up”. 😂 Thank you for sharing your life with us!
Im just curious: is this how every day goes? If yes, when do you have time to homeschool/do other things with the kids?
It’s a day in the kitchen. Like she said in the beginning how she did stuff with the kids in the morning so the day in the kitchen started at 10am.
I would guess this isn’t every day. In her vlogs on the old channel she would have some kitchen days, some house chores days, days out and about, etc. She has mentioned that homeschool is done in the kitchen area so she can monitor and help while she’s in the kitchen. Children don’t need much schooling at their age either. I taught Montessori kindergarten and 45 minutes of direct instruction each day was all the kids needed and they were just about all testing at 2/3rd grade level at the end of the year
My thoughts exactly. I love what she does, but I couldn't imagine being in the kitchen all day long.
She shows all that on her Instagram too 😊
She has her husband at home….
Aww, Sarah!!🎉 I've learnt about good nutrition by "helping" my grandma and mom cooking as a kid and all the rest of precious homemaking skills by doing life with them!😊
This is something that I realized only once I became a mom myself and I always let my kids help...
You'll never regret it even through the "mess"😅
Great content, Sarah! I'm so excited!!🎉
Those muffins!! 😊❤
Loving your new channel and content. So calm, peaceful, motivating and inspiring. Thank you :)
Dealing right now with a horrible nausea for my fourth pregnancy, this was soooo relaxing to watch. Thanks girl❤❤❤❤
I had terrible nausea while pregnant. Didn’t vomit once, just felt sick all the time. I know this sounds crazy but try flat lemonade. My Dr recommended it to me and it worked wonders !
You're absolutely adorable to watch in the kitchen! Thank you 😊
I am so happy you are back ❤ I appreciate everything you stand for
I would love to see a grocery video from you. How you plan out groceries, what foods you shop, what foods you don’t etc.
Yes please!❤
I like that you're honest and said you use your kids fabric that came with their bedding for your milk straining❤
Sarah, I’ve followed you for years on UA-cam, and this is sincerely my favorite video style of yours!! It felt so calm and relaxing to watch. Excited for your new chapter and content, thank you!
Love this :> Can you do what your kids eat in a day? I always have a hard time what to serve sometimes :>
Would love to see a recipe for your cookie dough bites! I make my own almond/cashew milk weekly and need to find ways to use the pulp. Those muffins looked incredible too! Loved seeing what you were up to in your kitchen, I need to try that potato recipe!
Sarah, have you tried milk raw? You'll likely be able to digest it better because it has lactose and lactase - during the homogenization / pasteurization process it destroys the part of the milk your body needs to break down the lactose. It is way healthier and easier to digest.
Sarah, it is the best therapy and inspiration! I am very grateful!
Hi Sarah, I'm so happy you're back. Can I ask you how you balance homemaking and taking your kids out to fun places or activities. I want to cook more for my family but always feel the pressure to make sure they're entertained and socialising and not just around the house while I cook and clean.
she has a fulltime stay-at-home husband... makes a difference
We love using those mini potatoes. They are so yummy!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful day! ❤
Hi Sarah! Could you please share how you manage your time with 5 kids?
I am 24 yo, just had my first baby and I feel like I don’t have time to do anything except for taking care of my baby.
My goal the second half of this year is to “use what I have” and not let things go to waste! Ty for your inspiration!!!
Missed you sooooo much! And love your hair.
That raisin loaf!!! Wow! I will be on the lookout for that video 👀
Very helpful and wonderful video, as always Sarah! Thank you for the hard work you put into these, while also keeping a clean and organized house and raising such beautiful children! Your dedication and service to your family is such an inspiration for me as a wife and hopeful mother myself. May God bless you and your family for the work you do for them and for Him! 🙏💖
I'm obsessed with your new channel. Literally my favourite thing to watch.
Can you make a list of all your sourdough making supplies?
You took the words out of my mouth ! A clean house for me is part of my self care .. something in my spirit becomes aggravated when everything is all over the place but when things are cleaner I’m nicer😂.. I’d rather wake up early to clean or pour an hour into my kids and then make sure my house is clean 🎉
This caught my eye because if my fond memories of my upbringing as one of five children with mom as a homemaker. Like you, she was very skilled, efficient, wise with money and had to think on her feet. I’m glad to see young women now on such a challenging and rewarding path.
I could watch videos like this all day long
Love the bag hanging hack! I am always knocking over the components of my almond milking kit in the process. I shall try this.
I just let my meal dry in the fridge overnight. It seems to work quite well. I had not thought to oven dry it.
You’re amazing Sarah. Such a good Mom and wife. It’s evident in your servant spirit.
I love seeing your littles running around the kitchen while you work! They add another fun lil element to your awesome and inspiring content. Keep up the good work!!!
I have only just discovered you and love your videos, thanks for sharing x G'day from Australia.
Do you cook with your kids as well? I know you don't show your kids online, which is great, but if you take your kids along in the cooking process, maybe there is a way to show your participation ideas?
As a stay at home mom, your channel makes me find not so alone and excited to do house work!
I love your videos as a home maker it makes me wanna go in the kitchen and create and experimeny! 🤍🤍🤍
Dear Sarah, I really like your videos. I just want to say, please, have a look at oxalate toxicity. Almonds contain a lot of toxins.
You always look so content while in your kitchen. I love it.
I'm so glad I found your channel!
Wishing I could do some semblance of this...tragically, my husband hates all form of bread! I'll just keep living vicariously through you.
Hey Sarah so glad that you are back and sharing the most important role we have as homemakers and how to do it with love.
Can you also share the time stamps in your videos to see how your day is spread out?
Ok I seriously love love love this! The muffins look so delish! Thank you so much for sharing the recipe and process❤. Will you please tell me where you purchased the glass cover that went over the muffin plate? I need this is my life🥰
It’s so nice to have you back on UA-cam! 😊 Where did you get those adorable polka dot coffee mugs?
Love the almond breeze ad on this video..😂🙊
A..n..d... you're back! Thank you so much. Missed your video's so much. Just find out. So happy 🎉😂❤
Loving your content! Just noticed the lights over your Island...stunning where may I ask did you purchase them?
Your muffins looked great! What do you do to make them rise like that? I think your plant may be a Philodendron Rojo Congo. 👍🏼
Those muffins look delicious. I will definitely be trying this recipe. Thanks for sharing!! 💕
Loving all the sourdough content, Sarah!
I'm so excited for this channel! I love baking and cooking 💕
Just got my hands on a sourdough starter and I can't wait to make these muffins with my toddler! I just have to know though, where is your t-shirt from? It's SO cute!
Can I also know this please? 🙋🏽♀️
Amazing looking recipes! I usually make my own almond milk too. Do you reckon you can make a powdered almond butter by roasting and then maybe processing the pulp into a powder once it's cooled (similar to a PB2 powder)?
That dinner looks amazing ✨🤌 I definitely want to try your sweet honey mustard sauce now too!
I’m in love with this channel! 💛
The potatoes "dying" to be made. 🥁 dudun-chi!
😄
I love a homemade sauce to put on things on the dinner plate-just changes the game.
Hey Sarah! I just wanted to say that you are such an inspiration to me and I am so obsessed with your content! Thank you for always being on top of your content and I have loved watching these new videos! It’s so fun to see and I love your style of vlogging! Ilysm and I hope you’re having an amazing day 💕💕
just commenting for the beef tallow peeps out there! it’s sooo much better for you and just as good for frying and everyday cooking
Love your new channel. Def inspiring I feel like I always go on a cleaning decluttering spree after watching your videos ! Where is your mustard color apron from ???
I use that pulp in my baked goods too
Everything looks so good.
It’s amazing how much you can do with sourdough starter. I’m inspired to try it out!
Love your videos, glad you are back!
Random question as I was watching your video: do your kiddos ever not eat the meal you prepare for them? I wouldn’t consider my kids picky eaters but every so often they go through phases where they just don’t eat what I make and I tend to have a lot of food waste. So follow up question: if your kids do not eat their food: what do you do with the leftovers (throw away or attempt to save)?
Wait, why would someone throw away the leftovers?? I can’t imagine how much wasted food we would have if I threw away leftovers. :(
Sarah, I’ve watched your videos for a long time. But this time I can’t believe what I just saw and heard. I feel the need to call you out. I love you so much and I support you you’re a darling but my love, that cannot be an orange 😭 it must be a mandarin or satsuma or some kind of other type of citrus fruit I don’t know of bc for sure oranges aren’t that flat and peel that easily or am I just going crazy!?? 😭😭😭😭
(I’m just messing with you btw love youu girl 😂🍊)
Hey Sarah. I made ur dinner. The chicken potatoes, apple salad and sauce. Yummmy. I think its the best thing I’ve ever cooked haha thats how much i enjoyed it. You should post more dinner recipes 😍!
Love your new page Sarah, so like the content I'm into. I just wanted to say Maybe you should consider doing the gaps diet to heal your dairy intolerance .
Okay, I just had to say, Sarah, you’re amazing but it’s so hard to stick with your channel. Don’t get me wrong, people are allowed to change! But you tend to shift your channel to what is most trendy online. I’ve followed you for YEARS. From make up to minimalism to veganism to Vlogging mom life, and now just being in the kitchen? So many other influencers do this. Seriously, just look back on your channel. Every time something is popular, your focus changes. You have your reasons, I get it. but I just wish you wouldn’t follow trends as much as you do.
Exactly! Everything you just said.
This is an interesting perspective. I think it’s myopic, though. It seems that Sarah has “grown up” on UA-cam. She’s tried lots of different things over the years and settled on the one she thinks she can enjoy and maintain best. This seems less like following trends and more like trying to find her niche. I’ve enjoyed all of the content, and especially applaud her for being brave enough to voice unpopular opinions on a platform where clicks lead to revenue.
To be honest with you, I’ve noticed that recently is rather a lot of them are doing kitchens tough but I think it’s becoming a very big thing at the moment especially what’s happening in America and Canada people are wanting to go back home cooking mine doing a lot more things simpler, so they see this as a trend which is a shame. I think I like the individual of bloggers and in what they do.
OG subscriber here. I think this hair color is by far my favorite on you!
Does anyone know where Sarah’s shirt is from? I love it! x
Just curious - do you hire a babysitter or have someone helping with the kids on kitchen days? My daughter would never let me focus on something that long 🫠
She has a house husband
Everything looks delicious 😊❤️
Because you do everything from scratch in super curious why do you use Costco chicken stock vs making it? It’s so super easy!!
Would you ever do a “sewing basics” video? Specifically on a machine? I was left a machine by a late family member and I’ve been way too intimidated to try it out. I’ve used a machine about as many times as I can count on one hand, and always with an expert by my side.
Hi Sarah! Can you share what you eat in a day? I would love to know how you stay so fit
Would love your raisin loaf recipe and steps? ps do you have a recipe for your sour dough starter too? Thanks 😊
I was just wondering if I'd be able to use flour (and if so how much?) Instead of bubbly sourdough starter! 🙂
I would love to see you make a recipe book!
Loving these video:))) I feel right at home with you in your kitchen
I wonder if you added sour dough discard to the almond pulp, added herbs and fried small pieces, would this make croutons?
I can't drink homogenized milk. It upsets my stomach a lot. Have you ever tried low temp pasteurized milk? or raw milk? they don't have that cooked milk flavor it's quite nice and creamy and because the enzymes aren't killed it's easier to digest. And making cheese and yogurt is quite easy.
How often do you make almond milk? And how much do you make at a time? I want to start but i dont know how much almonds to buy enough for me my husband and my two kids.
Wooow so much work going on here!!❤
Could you please teach us step step how to make sour dough?
I could read the "that's GOOD" from your face when you tried the cookie dough bites! 😆Isn't that the greatest feeling?
I’m just amazed how on top of things you are.. I would love to be this organized but it doesn’t last! 😂
"local" chicken - from your local Costco lol we saw you buy that
Loved this video Sarah! Great job!🩵
I love this . I have watched 3 times ❤
Loving the content Sarah !!
Hey! I love your channel here and the one from before. I'm curious why you made a new channel instead of simply renaming your old one. Why give up the subscriber base?
Your berry sourdough muffins are so good!
Can you tell us where you buy your clothes? Your clothes always look so comfortable, stylish and of good quality! Exactly what I want in clothes too :)
Love this!
