Happy birthday, Aileen! 29 is such a wonderful age. You're near the end of your 20s, yet there's something wonderful about being in your 30s. The life, the experiences, the learning, the stories of the life you lead into your 40s and beyond, when a deeper wisdom takes over. Many blessings to you, my friend! ♥ Isn't this an incredibly beautiful song? From a band that brought us Whole Lotta Love and Immigrant Song, they could pull these tender moments out of their talents and make their music so much more than balls to the wall. A prime example of how great Led Zeppelin really was and remains to this day. If you ever get the chance to listen to the early Heart, 1975 to 1979, you'll discover the powerful influence Led Zeppelin had over the band. From hard rockers like Barracuda to the lightly erotic Magic Man (he's got magic hands, mama) to gorgeous tracks like Love Alive and Mistral Wind, the original Heart group was supremely talented. If you've not heard them yet, I highly recommend their early works.
Led Zeppelin were not just a heavy rock band... They were also huge fans of acoustic music and this was part of an acoustic set, which was part of their majestic 3 hr concerts (This one filmed in 1975 at Earl's Court in London) Some of their mellow acoustic tracks include - 'The Battle of Evermore' (feat. Sandy Denny)... 'Tangerine' ... 'Ten years gone' ... "Gallow's pole"
I´m 60 and love your channel because you react to so much music that I listened to and loved (still do) when I was growing up. I think you´re a hippie that was born 20 years too late. It´s so obvious that you love this music
"Going To California" is one of those ethereal introspective acoustic numbers that's best experienced when you're riding on a Greyhound bus in the middle of a rainy afternoon. The mandolin sounds always seems to mimic the sight of rain rolling down the windows and vice versa...

Happy BDay Aileen! Love your reactions! These guys were so versatile! Rock to blues to folk, mix them together, country, rockabilly, reggae, funk, soul, rhumba and if they could have stayed together longer, we may have seen them try even more! This was part of 3 song acoustic set for this show which also included "Thats the Way" and "Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp" This was a tribute to the Great Joni Mitchell, whom Robert and Jimmy crushed on in the late 60s & early 70s. Joni once said in an interview, that LZ were the only male rockstars of that time who had the courage to admit they listened to her music and drew inspiration from it!
The song started out as a song about Californian earthquakes and when Jimmy Page, audio engineer Andy Johns and band manager Peter Grant travelled to Los Angeles to mix Led Zeppelin IV, they coincidentally experienced a minor earthquake. At this point it was known as "Guide to California". According to music writer Nick DeRiso, Joni Mitchell also inspired the song: "Plant makes a clear reference to 'I Had a King', the opening song from Mitchell's debut album, 1968's Song to a Seagull: 'To find a queen without a king', he quietly offers in the final verse. 'They say she plays guitar, cries and sings.' In an interview for Spin magazine, Plant admitted that it "might be a bit embarrassing at times lyrically, but it did sum up a period of my life when I was 22."
First time I saw Robert Plant doing this Live was on his second or third tour as a solo artist. I literally had an out of body experience. I felt nothing and everything all at the same time. I can close my eyes and I’m there again. Best concert experience of my life. Tears were flowing down my face and it was magical. - (Hope you had an amazing birthday!!)
Zeppelin has always been one of my favs! I have watched several different channels first reaction to Zeppelin, people between the ages of 20ish to 30ish, and all have loved almost every song. I grew up listening to them and several other bands from that time. I cant help but feel we had the best music back then. Hope you do more Zeppelin, particularly "what is and what should never be" preferred remastered version, if you havent already. Enjoyed your commentary and loved your reaction.

Hello Aileen - Happy belated birthday! I've been watching various reaction videos to Led Zeppelin songs and I end up coming back to yours as my favorites. You are spot on with verbalizing how their songs make you feel. Not everyone can do that. Yes, when Robert looks straight into the camera in this video I just melt. My God, that man has sex appeal.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AILEEN! And I love seeing young people discover and getting to know Led Zeppelin. I saw them at least two times, and for what it's worth, they are my second favourite band after the Beatles. I'm still pulled in just like you even after listening to their music for over 50 years.

That line you liked so much ".. a girl with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair" is about Joni Mitchell. A fantastic listen if you haven't looked at any of her stuff yet you should.
This whole song is an homage to the great Joni Mitchell. The lyrics, the mandolin in open tuning, the vocal lines that rise at the end ("in her haaaaaIIIRRRR") is all a nod to Joni. Everyone loved her, perhaps the greatest songwriter of them all.
Agree: hearing Joni Mitchell will enrich your love of music X10. And what a poet she is - please take a deep dive and stay away from the "greatest hits" stuff. Her album BLUE is full of great songs. Try A Case Of You or River. Or Blue. BTW Happy Birthday to you !!! And thanks for this song to Joni.

Happy Belated Birthday. I'd like to recommend " All Of My Love" It's a sad song but there's something hauntingly beautiful about the song. For reference for anyone who doesn't know it's about Robert's son Carrick who passed away young.
Happy Birthday! I'm celebrating the 29th anniversary of my 29th myself...So glad you "treated" yourself (and US!) to this "softer" Zeppelin song. They excel at anything they try. Your comments are always so worthwhile! For yet MORE of Robert Plant's charismatic passion, check out one of his most mesmerizing performances, "In My Time of Dying," "Mohotership" version. The rest of the band is super fun to watch as well!
This is one of my favorite songs of the enormous catalog. Another song of theirs that's in a similar mellow vein is The Rain Song. IMHO it's their most beautiful song and a masterpiece showing their softer side.
What a pleasure to watch again. I must say, my first exposure to Led Zeppelin WAS their Runes album, so it was hard to be impressed after that. But you know, my initial reaction then, which remains until this day, is that Battle of Evermore is actually their supreme track. Try it, see what you think.
Thank you for posting this dear aileen. Led zeppelin is the greatest band to walk this earth. Each member of this band is a bigger legend then in any other band
Firstly…HAPPY BIRTHDAY!🎉 When people ask me what my favorite Led Zeppelin song is, they are surprised when I tell them this song. Of course, they are rock gods and can jam second-to-none! But this song is just perfect in mood, tempo, complexity….and great lyric. “Standing on a hill in the mountain of dreams, telling myself it’s not as hard as it seems.”🤘🏻✌🏻
Happy Birthday, Aileen!! So glad Led Zeppelin has touched your life like they have with so many millions of others around the world. They are truly one of the best, if not the best, ever. Zeppelin had me captured very early in life and the magic in their music is still going strong many decades later. I wasn't fortunate enough to see them live with the original lineup, but I did have the pleasure to see Robert Plant solo in 1990 and Page and Plant perform in 1995. What a wonderful experience both shows were. I'll never forget them. Check out "Ramble On" for your next video, you'll be happy you did! Enjoy.
This is the song I listen too when I have a messes up day and I just want to chill. I light one up lean back and give it a listen 3 or 4 times in a row and all gets right again!
I was fortunate enough to have seen them live several times in the '70's. Greatest band ever, and it's a great reaction. I love seeing younger people enjoy the great music that I grew up with.
Happy birthday, dear Aileen. 29 for the first time. :P You may want to hear 'When the Levee Breaks'. You're a big drum fan, and the drums on that one are iconic.
Love your videos. You're sweet and you're comments seem concise and accurate. They're all special, but The Rain Song is my all time favorite. It's a reflection on a life lived IMO. Going to California was just as good and I still love it as well. Keep it up.
I love your reaction to this song. My favorite group since 1976, (6th grade). I love when the newer generations appreciate what I still hold as iconic. You're beautiful, intelligent, and have great taste in music!!!
I haven't seen anyone else but Jimmy Page seem to enjoy playing the guitar as much as he does. It is so good and he loves playing the guitar. He just makes me feel good when I get to see him play
Happy birthday! As you end your 20s, you have so much to look forward to! Actually, my 40s were the best, but the growth in your 30s is wonderful. Goin to California has always been one my favorite LZ songs. Yes, Robert Plant is one of the sexiest rockers of all time!
Happy birthday!! I'm new to this channel but have enjoyed it very much so far! The more zeppelin the better, they are my favorite band of all time..maybe Heartbreaker next? Their best song imo
The thing I love about led zeppelin is that John Paul Jones gets far less “commercial” praise but hands down he was their secret weapon
If you think about it, he was the least flashy, but he's been incredibly successful and sought after as a producer
This song really shows how amazing he is. There is a reason Page once said that JPJ was the most talented of them all.
Greatest Glue Guy in the history of music. He played every role they needed to keep their sound together.
One of the greatest musicians to have ever been. He is one of about 5 bass players who inspired me to play bass.
John Paul Jones was the best musician in the band from a purely technical perspective in the group. So important and doesn't receive nearly as much credit as he should.

Happy birthday, can’t wait to see your reaction to more Zeppelin, my favourite being when the levee breaks.. but the list is endless
Happy Birthday! What better way to spend it than with Zeppelin
Happy birthday! Hope you have a wonderful day! Love your reactions and you truly seem to feel the music you react to. Keep it up.
I was fortunate enough to see the original band… and yes you are one of MILLIONS of females that’s hypnotized by Robert Plants voice and singing
I’m just loving your reactions, Happy Birthday
Thanks for doing more Zeppelin and happy birthday
Happy birthday, hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for sharing a little of it with us. Love your reactions. ❤
Love your passion and openly sharing it ❤. So refreshing. Happy Birthday
John Paul Jones on the mandolin 🔥 Happy Birthday 🎁
Fantastic performance of an amazing song, supposedly inspired by the wonderful Joni Mitchell. I love acoustic Led Zeppelin. Happy Birthday.
This is one of my favorite zeppelin songs to sing
Happy birthday Aileen! Absolutely love your reactions and your beautiful smile you bring to each video. Have a great day!
Happy Birthday Aileen.... great reaction to an iconic rock band......... thank you so much !!!
Happy Birthday Aileen. Enjoy the Ride of Led Zeppelin and all the great classics.

Led Zeppelin are the kings. Best band by a long way. Charisma and class beyond the rest.
Happy birthday! Been listening to zepp for like 50 years now. Welcome to the club!
i absolutely love your genuine reaction to them.
I was fortunate enough to have seen them live several times in the '70's. Greatest band ever, and it's a great reaction. I love seeing younger people enjoy the great music that I grew up with.
Your insights are simply beautiful knowledge, heart , and feelings thank you and Happy Birthday!!!
Even Plant's later solo stuff sounds so good
Robert Plant makes me blush and gives me goosebumps too. Love him 😊 Great reaction. Happy birthday 🎉
The "girl with flowers in her hair" is said to be Joni Mitchell. Happy bday. Lots of years left for more Zeppellin!

You may want to hear 'When the Levee Breaks'. You're a big drum fan, and the drums on that one are iconic.
Uuuuuh, happy birthday Aileen!!! 🎂🎉🎉
Happy Birthday Aileen! Hope your day is a special one.
Love your videos. You're sweet and you're comments seem concise and accurate. They're all special, but The Rain Song is my all time favorite. It's a reflection on a life lived IMO. Going to California was just as good and I still love it as well. Keep it up.
Happy birthday 🎉🎉🎉 Aileen . God bless you. Wishing you the best.
great commentary, you nailed it, when Zeppelin comes on the world stops.
I just knew you would love this one Aileen, great reaction and happy birthday from your fans in England!
Decades later and Robert Plant's voice still melts the ladies.
Happy belated B-Day!!! ZEPPLIN really has impacted you i see!
I love your reaction to this song. My favorite group since 1976, (6th grade). I love when the newer generations appreciate what I still hold as iconic. You're beautiful, intelligent, and have great taste in music!!!
Relax! Your not the first female to "melt" to Plant's voice!❤😂
Beautiful song. Thank you for reacting Aileen!

Standing On a heal with a mountain of dreams
This song is timeless
I haven't seen anyone else but Jimmy Page seem to enjoy playing the guitar as much as he does. It is so good and he loves playing the guitar. He just makes me feel good when I get to see him play
Happy birthday! As you end your 20s, you have so much to look forward to! Actually, my 40s were the best, but the growth in your 30s is wonderful. Goin to California has always been one my favorite LZ songs. Yes, Robert Plant is one of the sexiest rockers of all time!
I just love your reaction. This is a zep gem.
Happy Birthday Aileen! Hope you have a great day!
Happy Birthday Aileen, 29 is a distant memory for me! Great to see you loving the zep.❤
I saw them in 1980 in Europe - best concert ever! LZ best band ever!!!!!! love your reactions!
Happy birthday!! I'm new to this channel but have enjoyed it very much so far! The more zeppelin the better, they are my favorite band of all time..maybe Heartbreaker next? Their best song imo
This is a song to play on an early sunny Sunday autumn morning. Very peaceful to me. Happy birthday Aileen, may you have many more to come! 💛
Happy Birthday lovely lady ! I really enjoy watching you 'discover' the music I grew up with.
