i have one with blue switches , although the blue switches will never loose their clicky sound but i tried all mods the tape and foam mod and lubricated with Vaseline honestly its still clicky but now it sounds a little smoother than before thanks man nailed it :)
hey dude. Please wipe off the vaseline. Vaseline is a pertoleum jelly and if u dont know, petrol chomps away plastic. try to wipe off as much as possible. Its been 8 months so maybe it might have caused some damage.
On my k552 I removed the logo buy erasing it with a normal eraser, it takes a long time. But its simple and doesn't leave any scratch mark on it, and I don't want chemicals to leak inside the pcb and potentially ruin the keyboard. So it might work on your keyboard as well so I definitely recommend trying it out

@@hridaimanav3620 It all depends on your budget and what form factor you want. Cosmic bytes are great for their prices, really, you wouldn't find any mech keyboards under Rs2500 in any other country. That said I think there are other better keyboards if you increase the price range. I would suggest full size or tkl's if your into editing and streaming as those extra keys are helpful, even though I recommend 65% or 60% for gaming to reduce desk space. IF your going for a budget keeb, go for cosmic bytes. For TKL or full size the redragon k552 or k551 are good options, never used k582 so I can't tell. For 65% get the rk68 from meckeys. Its hotswappable and really easy to mod, comes with gateron switches which are better than ur typical budget outemu switches. It all comes down to preference, decide on what form factor and switch you want and pleeaase if you get blue switches.. Rethink your life decisions.. Let me know if you have any questions?

This keyboard honestly is good for just plug and play but for modding it’s a struggle. The stabs can’t be accessed without removing switches so spacebar rattle can’t be fixed by beginners.
I have the CB GK 14 unit. Are the switches on this board hot-swappable?? Have had this keyboard for almost a year now and the switches have started to feel less responsible and very mushy. The “I” switch also fails to register at times. I want to change the Outemu switches to Gateron Blues, but I don’t know anything about desoldering the board.

Yes, the newer models support hot swapping switches. You can change it to another switch of the same type (Outemu, Gateron, etc.) of any variety (linear, tactile, clicky)

Lubing the spring will surely work better but it takes longer for each switch. I'm thinking this should eventually still seep down to the spring as you start using it.🙂

another mod is that to make the spacebar thock is u jsut put some sponge in it and it thocks and also put it on a wooden table and flip the spacebar upside down

Getting the cb gk 34 soon and i plan to holee mod it if i can remove the stabs, then foam mod, tape mod, switch the switches to gateron milky yellows(cuz i can carry them over to a new keyboard if this one decides to die out)
Do you recommend lubing for someone living in a dusty area? Will the dust get stuck on lube? There is a road just beside my house and is very active through out the day. I need to clean my pc after every 2-3 days. Would you still recommend it?
That's a valid concern. Dust would definitely get stuck under the switches. I suggest moving your setup to a different location without direct airflow.😅
you can try Cosmic Byte CB-GK-13 its not tkl but with aluminum case and Brown Outemu Switch. Could aluminum case make keyboard sound better?. The way you lubed the switches do nothing as the stem doesn't touch the housing so what ur suppose to do is try to fit the brush on each side of the switches ik these are dust proof one for those thin brushes help so u do is press down stem and use the brush to lube the housing of the switches

Got firefly red switch but want to ask that does the blue one sound the same bcz in red I like the noise and I think that blue is more loud and what I think that to return product and book blue one but in red the smoothness is great and sound is also great with feel So what should I do return or there is no major loud diffrence ?

Checkout the Gamdias Hermes E3 (White) edition with Red switches i own these and these are just superb for the price, i have lubed the switches and these sounds incredible.

I only used it on Vaseline for about a month. I later wiped it using some rubbing alcohol and used the silicone lube.

My CB GK 16 has some led issues with it R key's Blue light is not working and when the entire keyboard's led is turned off few keys stay lit in blue colour do you know how to fix this?

If you don't want customizable RGB, you can go with the GK26 Pandora. The GK28 Vanth is a full form keyboard which also doesn't have custom RGB. The form factor is the only difference between the GK28 and the GK26. amzn.to/3nTxHoT

i dont recommend lubing. It might feel good but once the dust starts to accumulate, it will be a disaster to cleanup.

The way you lubed the switches do nothing as the stem doesn't touch the housing so what ur suppose to do is try to fit the brush on each side of the switches ik these are dust proof one for those thin brushes help so u do is press down stem and use the brush to lube the housing of the switches
I think the lube eventually seeps into the housing when you start using them.

The firefly has customisable RGB, this doesn't. If you're okay with fixed color RGB, this is a good keyboard 👍

Got firefly red switch but want to ask that does the blue one sound the same bcz in red I like the noise and I think that blue is more loud and what I think that to return product and book blue one but in red the smoothness is great and sound is also great with feel So what should I do return or there is no major loud diffrence ?
There is a pretty noticeable difference in the feel and sound between red and blues. You're welcome to try them and see if you like their sounds more.😄

That's how linear works. It doesn't give you a tactile bump when you press down. I think you'll like the smoothness once you're used to it.
Checkout the Gamdias Hermes E3 (White) edition with Red switches i own these and these are just superb for the price, i have lubed the switches and these sounds incredible.
