You’re video are so well made and fun to watch!! Would love a average day vlog of a economics students or a tips for interviews for economics at Cambridge!!!
Hey, the video is helpful. I'm also very interested in Game Theory and behavioural economics, but sadly, I didn't manage to present all of these elements in my ps because I changed my applied major at LSE to philosophy and economics.
What was the game theory course u did? It sounds very similar to the one I’m doing now on Coursera by Stanford uni as it’s also 8 weeks and I too enjoyed the differentiation of the maxmin strats haha
So one of the reasons that I applied to Kings is that they give quite a lot of information about what their interviews entail. So it was one extract that they asked me questions about, and then one problem solving question. Although it does vary from college to college.
Hey, thanks for the video, did you use the space in Cambridge SAQ to add an extra ‘personal statement’ ? And also if you don’t mind me asking, what score did you get in the ECAA? Thanks
Thanks for your comment, I didn’t do anything for the extra personal statement. In terms of the ECAA, I remember I did relatively well in the problem solving and maths section, but I actually got below average in the essay.
Hey, this is a great video... What do you think about LSE rejecting your application ? Could you possibly narrow down onto any specific reasons for that? Just curious since you got into Cam as well....
I’m still not really sure to be honest, I didn’t sit any on their admission tests which may be a reason, or maybe there were just other applicants which had stronger applications. Honestly I didn’t mind too much as I had already got an offer from Cambridge
Hi Sam! I'm an international student and I'm wondering if you know how the admission proccess works in Cambridge? For example, is there an admission tutor for each course in each college? Or is there only 2 admission tutors per college, one for humanitaries and social sciences and one for sciences and medicine etc.? Thank you for the video! I'm hoping to apply for law in the UK but I heard it's very competitive!
Hi Sam, I'm hosting a webinar on 14th September to help students approaching their GCSE term. Having seen your UA-cam content I wanted to reach out and ask if you'd like to take part?
Hey Sam, I did find this video to be extremely helpful. I am applying to Uni in a few days and I'm finalizing my personal statement. It would be of great help if you gave it a read. Let me know your email so i can forward it to you.

By the way, what do u think is most worthy to learn before going to uni?
Honestly, I wouldn’t stress too much about learning academic stuff before uni. But basic things for living alone, e.g cooking, is obviously useful.

Yes it was that exact one!
@@SamHillman yes nice! Also plan to apply to cambridge for econ so will use your ps as a guide! Btw what college did u apply for?
@@yahyakhan6433 Kings. Good luck with your application; if you have any questions, let me know!
@@SamHillman wow awesome! If I may ask, and Ik there are some rules on this, what were your questions at interview focussed on/about?

I got so many extracurriculars and I want to apply to UK. It’s so disappointing you said they don’t care about those.
Hey thanks for you're advice, I've been revising and Icl it feels great knowing i'm not wasting ALL of my time, btw what do you plan to become?
Honestly, I’m not entirely sure at the moment. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

Hey where can I learn more about optimism bias calculations?
webinars, or even just watching short youtube videos on it
Honestly it's pretty difficult to do, I mainly just look for articles

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's the fellows for the subject you're applying for, at the college you're applying for, who make the decision.
@@SamHillman I see! Thank you!
