  • Welcome to Ruby, a once-thriving mining town and now one of the largest ghost towns in Arizona. Nestled in the rugged landscape of southern Arizona we journey back in time and uncover the fascinating history of this abandoned gem. Like many ghost towns, Ruby has its share of legends and ghost stories. With two double homicides in this town, it adds an extra layer of intrigue to our exploration.

Love the channel Randy, I have lived in AZ since 1956 and have seen much more since I've been watching your channel than I did when I ran all over AZ when I was younger. I still have a wanderlust spirit though. Keep on truckin' friend. Bob

Hi Bob, I was the same way when I was younger. These days I've learned to slow down and enjoy the trip. Have a wonderful day!

One of my Arizona favorites. It was even cooler in the 1970s. Beautiful Boboquivari in the background. Nostalgia. Thank you.

Looks like you made this video just in time. It seems they've closed it to the public now. I remember going here a few times growing up. It really is a neat place and it's sad to see we can't visit anymore.

Been all around this area, back in the 70/80’s, but never went in. Watched drug smugglers , and one trip a foot of snow…wonder the plan for Ruby, if it was closed….and by who ? Thanks….interesting. 🤠👍

Hi ChollaJJ, It was Privately owned and they closed it down permanently in early June of 2024. When I was there some of the buildings were in pretty bad shape and may have been to much of a liability for visitors. I Couldn't imagine a foot of snow, that would've been beautiful to see. Have a good day!

@@SeabeeTraveler it was ! Some of the tree limbs were heavy and hanging. It snows at the higher elevations along the border. Peña Blanca lake, bar and grille was open. One in Arivaca…Have not been down there since early 80’s. 😵‍💫👍
