Had kimchee soup with pork today. My wife is Korean as we got married in Seoul back in 1974. We have 2 kids who are now in their late 40's. I was in the Army from 1970 to 1992. We camp a lot and eat as you detail in the video. Sorry about your dad. Salute to a veteran.

there are just those types of people that would rather throw their trash out into mother nature instead into a trash bag. i only just came across your channel, but i like it, so you earned a new sub. condolences to you for your Dad. every time i take my 2 young grandchildren out shooting, not only do i stress to them about keeping our trash picked up as we go along, but after we've finished shooting, and we get packed up, we all pick up 20 pcs. of trash before we can leave....i think this teaches them to respect the outdoors a little more, and it's a good life lesson from old grandpa.

Your dad pass on with families by his side, pretty sure he was at peace when he went. I love it that you were in the middle of a very sob story about your dad and then you stuck a fork full of rice, meat and vegies in front of the camera. That was a beautiful tribute to your dad, may he rest in peace. It really don't matter if you're living in the 4runner or your home base, home is where the heart is
and thank you for giving me some great ideas that I can use on my build.
    Stay safe and happy camping

My Condolences for the great loss of your Dad. Loved your tribute here. He did have a long life. I lost my husband a few weeks after his 47th birthday. VA said it was directly from agent orange. He did 2 tours in VN. Sending my thanks to all those that served in our military. 🙏🏻❤️🇺🇸💙. Hey I fix a Korean dish like that. People need to learn that fermented foods are good for you, have a few tablespoons often. Praying things will improve for campers soon. I see many out there saying the same thing about difficult finding places to stay, some states inflated state park prices and still some places closed off. Steve, Wishing you a good week ahead👍

He was an Army Ranger, and a guard at the Nuremberg Trials. I'm glad you were with him.

Sorry to hear about your Dad.
I started eating Kimchi daily about 1.5 years ago. It's changed my life. I started because l was always having abdominal pain after having teeth pulled and taking a lot of antibiotics. That has stopped. I have also had problems with depression for a long time. After a while of eating Kimchi l noticed l wasn't depressed as much. It took a while to link the two. But l finally started looking into it, and found that saratonin is produced in your gut. All those probiotics keeping your gut healthy is a good thing.
If anyone tries this, stick to it, it won't happen over night. It takes about 8 weeks for a body to adjust.

Hi Steve, just found your channel this morning. And am very happy I did. Im 50, and have been thinking of doing exactly what you are currently doing, solo camping etc.. Thank you for sharing such an honorable reflection of your dad and honoring his memory. In my culture of Islam, honor is called "Namus". And it is very Namus for your reflection of your dad.
Love the Toyota set up and the solitude to reflect on life. Im sure its very centering and relaxing. The food looks GREAT and the scenery also.
Going to go thru a few more if your videos this morning. Its 6 am here in NY.
Salam Alikum brother, (Peace Be Upon You). And thank you very much for sharing!

Condolences on your loss. My father passed in 2019. He too liked his Hamm's. No fair inviting us over after you post! Next time you head out invite us. I'm in Vegas with a 4x4 and would trail with you.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. You did an amazing job honoring and remembering him on this trip. I am sure your Dad was more then just a, regular white guy. We all have a heritage of some point. My brother in law is Korean and our families love to have Korean BBQ when we get together even if we sometimes don't cook it ourself. Cheers.
