- After surviving The Long Dark for 500 Days on Stalker mode...it's time to try the same on Interloper. There will be no firearms, looted hatchets or knives. We must make our own defenses and tools in order to survive this self-imposed challenge. It's time to see if we achieve victory or die a horrible death like everyone else on Great Bear Island.

The Long Dark Interloper is the hardest mode in Sandbox mode (The other difficulties are Pilgrim, Voyager and Stalker). The game describes that this mode is "For expert players looking for the ultimate wilderness Survival challenge."
In The Long Dark Interloper difficulty, you start with the most minimal resources, supplies are very scarce and Wildlife is rare, but it is more dangerous
- Interloper was a new game difficulty, introduced in v.364.
- The world becomes more hostile to you as you play. Global temperature drops, wildlife and fuel resources become more scarce, and Blizzards become more frequent.
- Apart from the Hacksaw and Hammer, which spawn rarely in the world, you need to create all your own improvised tools (ex. Hatchets, Knives, etc.).
- The best Clothing and Food items do not spawn.
- Wolves are more rare, but also more deadly.
- Wildlife becomes more rare over time.
- There are no firearms in the world.

@@OldPumpManScurvy isn't applied retrospectively to existing games, as Hinterland didn't think it fair. Only new games created after the update will have scurvy.

You can cook broth in a cooking pot, you often looked at a receipe missing broth and you said you needed to find some in past videos
Keep turning the sun visors down...I've found 2 notes now taped to them with a note attached about a memento cache
When you were running around in the panic about not using the birch bark, I was losing my mind because you kept going in the cabinet for the torch and then the sticks, and theres 5 Tinder Plugs in there.....
I kinda wish this game actually had a full concept of containers like Zomboid does, where you would have to find plastic water bottles and such to keep water on your person instead of them just appearing from the ether. Especially with the insulated flasks being an option, it might be cool your water could freeze while in your bag faster or slower based on the container.
I enjoy a new video! But i miss the old days when you had some police stories to tell along.

I dont know how but i have managed to watch every episode within a week and it has gotten me hooked on TLD. Keep up the awesome content!
My personal favorite part about the new update is that clothing now actually shows on your character in game. Like for example when you hold a torch, we can see your mittens and coat. I always hated when I had something cool on and my character looked like they weren't even wearing anything warm.
don't forget to take some cured guts too they might come handy while crafting bedroll
I've just started playing this again for the first time in a few years, I'm on console and a novice, playing wintermute at the mo. Been watching for a fair while very cosy to watch, I usually watch at the end of the day to relax 😊 keep up the great content 👍

Can I suggest using your radial menu to select the light source you want to use instead of going through each of them using the "1" key until you find the one you want? It's considerably faster and easier.

Enjoy the video. I think you can shoot time again with fire hardened arrows and it doesn't spook them. That's what I heard. Someone else say.

Did you realize when you were leaving the gas station and you pulled out your bow you accidentally shot an arrow. Your count went from 7 to 6 arrows.
He didn't shoot an arrow. When you draw a bow, one arrow goes in the bow and is no longer counted in the number in bottom right corner. Later the number of arrows went back to 7.

I never did one. I only did a 365 day challenge in Stalker mode. I went big this time by going for Interloper plus 500 days. lol

I'm excited to see you play the new update, but im not excited to play it myself. They added too many Cons, and not enough pros for me.
Dude, please do 1 hour 10 minute episodes because the adverts take 5 to 10 minutes so that we can at least have an hour long episode!
