I'm not gonna lie, I really love watching these videos just for the lab section. I like seeing feedback on these kinds of matches and it helps me understand what's going on more. Thanks. :)
I recently got into the game (late op-07) and built reiju with like 25$ and traded a alt art jack for the entirety of the cards needed. Been great so far, if your new, I definitely recommend!
I've been playing this deck in the SIM for a while and just bought it yesterday. With taxes and shipping the total cost was only $50 and I'm really happy because this has been one of my favorite decks to play
Hey you read my mind! I was researching budget decks and this one + kalgara was up there, both around the same price. On tcgplayer, without Black Maria and shipping cost, the deck is around 18 bucks
I just started playing and decided on Reiju. She’s not any particular type. She has a little bit of everything, a sort of toolbox. I run red roc but plan on using gravity blade for the doffy and Bonney matchup. I run 2 event cards to help the consistency of the deck (help find the stage). Another thing I like is to drop the 7 cost power ranger on rested characters. I just wish there was a way to reduce opponent’s character cost to make the blue ranger more effective.
Is the channel name (The Vv Theory) referring to the popular fan theory that Vivi will become the final member of the Straw Hat Pirates? If so, I love the channel name!
No unfortunately I had no idea of that theory, it's based on my gaming alias which is Wulfrik. In a game that I was playing with friends someone randomly took my name and it had to be unique. So my buddy said, "Hey why don't you just use two 'V's as a W", and it stuck from then on. So I became Vvulfrik. And then when I finally decided to start up a UA-cam Channel I wanted it to be uniquely associated with me while still being kind of mysterious and also incorporating some type of Theorycraft idea. So I ended up settling on The Vv Theory because it was all of those things to me and then it has the potential to get mis-interpreted as The W Theory, which might push the whole W = Winning kind of idea as well, which I like :]
The deck is really strong, rewards good play, it's not too expensive, and it will only get better and better over time because of how generic the Leader Effect is
When i Play Reiju i Play the Event Black Bug 2x The Event is good against b/y ruffy when He plays sabo on 5don i can bottom the sabo the card has germa66 and vinsmoke
I not sure what to cut. I have cut down yonji to 0 and niji to 2 each. Then trying to cut others like chopper so I can still run some cards along side, 4 stage and 4 black bug. I ran 2 black Maria coz it's only useful late game.
I’m not sure what was in the kalgara players starting hand but his number 1 priority should have been to get Wyper out to get rid of the stage, the stage is just too good to leave in play
Would love to see a Vegapunk video! I think he is such a fun and underrated leader! When player with a good player piloting (you) you can win almost all matchups Also how would you compare Vegapunk play style to R/Y sabo?
I messed around with Vega a while back before it had all the OP08 support, I'll have to revisit him again soon Edit: To answer your question, RY Sabo is very different from Vegapunk in my experience. RY Sabo is much more aggressive where Vega is more controlling. Sabo can be played more controlling though
@@Vvulfrik now that you point it out, i definitely agree that they play differently as one is way more aggressive and vegapunk plays to control. Between enel and vegapunk which would be more competitive in OP09?
I'm running 6c blocker sanji and small sanji over yonji, as you almost always meet the condition for his lower cost. I dropped the GERMA66 event in the end too, as the deck already has a wild amount of draw. Not slotted black maria yet, I presume it works really well for getting into position for a judge play?
Yes, the Black Maria is pretty insane for what it does. It can even be played on turn 2 to use the effect and go down to your Opponents Don EoT so that you can draw a card with your Leaders Effect. And of course like you said to help land your judges later on.
Honest question from a new player, I noticed you doing a lot of 6k attacks, and from what I've seen and asked around people usually say to go for either 5k, 7k, 9k, etc. to get the most out of the attack, so is there a particular reason for the 6k attacks or was it just coincidence?
That was me trying to tax all the 2k Counters out of my opponents hand. Generally speaking if you are going for board clear, which a lot of decks require to stay in the game, you go for 2k over the Characters Power so that they have to give you 2 cards from hand to keep the Character alive or not lose Life. However, with Reiju early on and even going into the mid game, the deck generates so much value that you can just tax them from cards early on, while still countering out aggressively on your turn, because of the card draw and cheating bodies out from the Trash. So for example, if I attack in to your 5k Character with three different 5k or 6k attacks, you have to give me 3 cards from your hand or your card is gone. Then, when you might be thinking "okay, I saved my Character." I drop down a Porche for 3 potentially drawing a card and cheating out a 4c Ichiji. The 4c Ichiji then cheats out a 7k Rush Ichiji from the trash and drops the Target Characters Power by -2k. Now I can almost 100% get the Character I was going for, while developing my board, drawing cards, and eating your entire hand. Now in an alternate scenario, if I had sent those attacks to the face, my opponent could have actually countered out of lets say 1 or 2 and then took 1 or 2. While that still seems strong (and it is), you actually just let them refill/cycle their hand, get potential triggers, and now they have targets on the board to attack in to. Hopefully that made sense
currently bulding three decks, never have played. Making red zooro, green nonney and blue purple reiju. this mostly happened because of getting some lucky pulls. How do I choose which one to play? Is there one that is not best to start out with? Leaning towards reiju which led me to this video. One card I have had zero luck getting in Kaya, so using young sanji and got lucky pulling two Bonchans from eb01 so want to use them. Thanks ahead of time.
So I think it will come down to your playstyle. Green Bonney is pretty controlling Zooro is very aggressive Reiju is something in between those two As far as which one is better, I think all three of those are doing solid in the current Western Meta.
I think ST14 only really took off in the West. It probably had a lot to do with when RP Law got banned for the West vs the East. (Not 100% sure) EDIT: To answer the question though, I don't know if ST14 Luffy is going to make it in OP09.
Not necessarily, but she's very solid in the deck and helps it catch back up later in the game with Don so that you can drop Judge more consistently/comfortably

Started at the beginning of OP-07, Reiju has absolutely been my go to, glad shes getting more recognition
The only reason why the first deck you highlighted didn’t run Black Maria is because it wasn’t the OP08 format at that date!

Its,funny as king to just stay low on dons against reiju hahah, they hate it
That crown actually belongs to Nami
Reiju is a tempo deck
