I had the chance to visit my friends at Dundon Motorsports. I love touring businesses and learning how they build things. I met Charles and Jaime in 2015 when I was fed up with my search for an exhaust for my GT3. I was on iteration number 11 and getting nowhere. They did the work to create a great sound, but also power-making exhaust. It was great to get to see what they are working on today in their place.

Dundon is legit. Thanks for discovering them, excited to send them my car in the future.
Wow the Dundon guys really know their stuff. Cool they gave all of you a look inside their compound. It's clear you're buying much more than a product when dealing with this shop.
Well said.
As a mech engineering student, this video's technical explanation was spot on and it reflects in their products. As fun and effective as turbo's can be, it takes real expertise and experience to maximize an N/A engine.
Livin' that NA flat 6 life! People called me stupid for updating my plenum, runners and intake on my 997.2. Don't doubt science and math, man. And Matt, you remove the motor mounts and jack the engine down a few inches to allow for the clearance issue. It is still a bear but doable.
Hey Matt, pulled the trigger with Jamie last night and got Dundon Street and Intake power kit for my GT3 Touring ... I thank you for leading me to these guys !! Cheers
So awesome. One of your best out of office videos for sure!
As an engineer this is my biggest gripe. We’re constantly told to scale things back to cut costs, or modify an already existing component to squeeze a little more from it before a total redesign. I’ve created new, more efficient designs only to have them sidelined in favor of a more readily available alternative. In time those designs will see the light of day but only once they can’t squeeze any more out of the old design and they’re forced to update. I rant about this at every opportunity and I’m glad to see these guys capitalize on the gains left on the table by manufacturers.
That's super frustrating.
But it's not really gains left on the table tho. They know that they can achieve emissions with x parameters met, so Porsche just tries to met those parameters on the line-up. Designs like yours would be tested & tried. The usage would be dependent on performance and emissions, if it fails emissions and is allowed in any of the championships regulations, it will be used there. That's the beautiful thing about having a racing department.
That dundon guy is smart and seems a nice guy and has a Nice company. Wish him wel.
Cool vid matt
It’s my 997.2 RS on the lift with the engine out. It’s back in one piece at Drivers Club, but damnit you are making me want to take it back for an exhaust now. Great video!!!
Ha, ha... So cool!
Jamie and Dundon are legit
I really hope there is a part 2, to this.
The wing on the boxer looked like a kid doodled the design and someone made it real 😂. Amazing tour, these guys are legit. Can’t remember if I’ve ever seen a guy from the pacific NW without a cup of coffee in their hand.
This team is wildly impressive. Thank you for getting them on the channel.
Countdown until the AWE exhaust comes off the RS and is replaced by Dundon Street plus plenum.....3......2......1.......
Fascinating Matt and thanks for sharing. Jamie's early recognition of the talent Charles had and then partnering it with his own contribution was clearly a key enabler to success. I do wonder if Jamie is now looking at OG and assessing your talent to communicate, connect & convince like minded individuals of the benefit of seeking out the level of expertise they have to offer and ultimately take Dundon to the next level? Look forward to more crazy!
if Matt's game, we are...
So if I understand correctly, I can place a mirror inside my intake so the sound waves can see their reflections and I’ll make more powers? Thanks for the tip.....Be right back!
😂🤣😂🤣
Cool video Matt. Too bad these guys don’t do BMW’s. They aren’t too far from me. Passionate group of guys there. 👍
fascinating, the parts i actually understood was mind blowing. thank you
Good stuff!! I need N/A in my life!!
When company's are this size and before they get spoiled with all the garbage the goes along with becoming a big named company they do the best work. I realize everyone wants to become big, but things get lost when that happens. I always try to find people like these guys that live and breathe what they sell and you always get a better product from such people.
Those guys are great.
Thank you for this video Matt. Very much appreciated.
I suddenly need a Dundon component on my car, ASAP. Fantastic content.
Wow the last few seconds really paid off beyond imagination. Great education along the way.
Edit: as with all your videos.
Top 5 videos of all time!
Would love a 60HP bump for my 2013 Carrera S - Dundon need's to get on it!
I'll add Dundun on the level of Sharkwerks when it comes to Porsche.
That's some first world future stuff right there.
I want one of their exhausts on my 991.1.
I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the heads up on their products!
PS: are you coming to Monterey Car Week, next week?
Yes, I'll be there on Tuesday.
@@ObsessedGarage - Tuesday I'll be at the Carmel Concours on the Avenue, if I see you there I may come up and say hello!
Awesome, bookmarked to watch later tonight :D
Amazing video!
Great Video Matt I learned Soo much and great to see really smart guys working with technology and science. Wish I had a Porsche so I could buy their products.
Who in the BMW world is thinking at this level ?? Love to see someone do this rather than just throw Turbo’s and Superchargers on to get power.
I know I am just an old time purist 👍😀
There are a ton of tuners in the BMW marketplace doing great work depending on the model. I tend to follow Evolve, Active, and ESS.
Yep know them but I don’t get that they work to the Dunsons guys level from what I see but happy to be corrected. Perhaps Acca did get real HP gains from their exhaust but I don’t see that from other e90 exhausts
Jp
Spectacular CONTENT.....makes me want a 911 even more....if that's possible.
Would be so cool to have these guys get together with a room full of porsche engineers.
Also when it comes to Porches, you only need one company and thats RUF in Germany, no one is better or has more experience with Porsche tuning on the road or circuit (Nurburgring) :)
yup theyre legit to
Dont know much about porches though, just hear stuff and Ruf is pretty known, alyways loved the body parts aswell.anyways Nissans are faster down the track, so i own one of those :). NA drive is fine, but all that fuss about 400 bhp, i barely did anything to my Z and im already over (500 bhp on the wheels), goodluck adding turbo to a porsche :P
I will stick with forced induction add 1lb of boost for my 20Hp , seems way easier 😁
Ha, ha... I understand that.
Still ready to come work for you...Why family is gone...I just want to be a part of ....anything besides working for some IT multinational. Pls.
Weekend job is to find more horse power!😂😂
Wow
Variable length headers boy.
Matt i guessing you will never not put dundon on your cars again
Ha, ha...
He looks like Ed Norton at times
Porsche took the 997.2 RS racing, it did pretty well.

Compare this to Bodenhaus...lol
A video with these boys in a quieter environment would be awesome. I liked this and watched it all but the background noise triggered me.
Agreed, I'll do more with them in the future.
Are you going to be in Bellingham wa
I'm back home now.
This guy is a genius
TGV looks almost suicidal in his early videos!
Öhlins*
Geeky shit is 😎 cool
Where’s dat CRACKPIPE??
Camera guy sounds like a Porsche owner 😕
6th ....oh well haha
throw out the boxes (who uses those on high power cars???) and in with the cold air intakes :), or you can have a long speech about it and make people yawn
