Can u pls answer my question that when we can easily follow path of bhakti and can absorb our minds in krishna just by chanting and hearing hare krishna then why krishna introduced the difficult yogas like ashtanga yoga which involves so much difficulties and it is also difficult to perform its asansa by females ....if one just follow the path of bhakti yoga without doing any physical yoga told in ashtanga will that person attain krishna or not?
Hare Krishna. Yes. Only by performing bhakti by performance of hearing and chanting, etc one will attain Krishna. One does not need to follow any other processes.
Krishna introduces all of these to make a comparative study of the different yogas for the benefit of Arjuna and thus for all of us. Arjuna was thinking of not fighting and going to the forest. That's not coming out of a vaccum.
There is a path of ashtanga yoga that some people take. That was known to Arjuna. Now Arjuna was thinking whether he should take that path or not? He should definitely know what path of Ashtanga yoga is like. And what is Krishna's opinion about that. That's why its given here by Krishna.
Arjuna's conclusion was its very difficult to follow. And Krishna agrees. But its possible by detachment and practice. Arjuna asks about the result of failure of this yoga. Krishna answers. And finally He says that the topmost yogi is one who thinks of Krishna within himself, constantly.
Thus, Krishna opens the path to understand bhakti yoga, which comes in the next chapters. I hope this answers your question.
Hare Krishna. 🙏
BG not against achievements of this world. But if external factors are only motivation for us, then we don’t make inner development.
Very nice guruji
Hare Krishna Prabhuji, unless one gives up the desire for worldly enjoyment (sanyasi) one cannot be a yogi (genuine connection with God). so sanyasi and yogi are same. a yogarudha does not have any desire to enjoy, neither he engages in any fruitive activities for sense gratification nor he pursues sense gratification. mind is the soul's friend as well as enemy depending on who is in control. realized knowledge is more important than academic knowledge and a realized devotee values whatever can be used for Krishna's service. thank you.
Hare Krishna.
Mind if controlled is the best friend and if not controlled then it becomes the greatest enemy. The topmost level Yogarudha level yogi has no desire for sense gratification and he is totally fixed in KC.
Mind is the friend of the soul when the soul conquers the mind. If mind is the controller, then it will act as enemy.
One who cannot control his mind, lives always with the greatest enemy and thus his life and its mission are spoiled.. For one who takes to Krishna Consciousness directly, perfect surrender to the dictation of the Lord follows automatically.
The greatest threat to individual freedom is the individual himself or herself.
The greatest threat to individual freedom is the individual.
