This video helped me out a lot. I want to use the Waverly antique wax paint on a blank wooden box you buy at the craft store. But I also want to decoupage a copy of an old photo from my grandparents on it. I made several copies incase I screw up. lol Thank you for this video, it was very descriptive, comprehendible, and to the point.
Hi Sheila - Are you able to get FolkArt paint in the UK? If so, they also make a wax paint, called Home Decor Wax, that would be a good substitute for the Waverly brand.
I will have alook thank you. To be fair, I only had quick look on Amazon and another couple of sites. I then fell down a rabbit hole, but thats another story lol i shall investigate more tomorrow.
What a great idea! I am making over what was a makeup brush caddy that was my granddaughter’s. It has 8 sides, 4 have a cutout of the Eiffel Tower. She is over the Paris theme & put it in the give away box. I was looking for a way to cover the cutouts & tried this. I’m planning on using it for craft tools and plan to stencil some words, “inspire”, “create”, etc. so the wax finish will work great with the chalk. . Thanks for sharing.
I am so pleased to have found this tutorial. I plan to use with it again and again.
I’m so glad. Thanks for leaving me such a nice comment.

What a great idea. Unfortunately, wax paint does not appear to be available in the UK :-(
Oh no! That's too bad. If I find a resource there, I'll update my video description

Love this Claudette! When you say heavy cardstock can you tell me specifically what cardstock you use? Thank you!
Hi Nana - I’m so glad you liked this. I linked the cardstock I used in the video description 😊.
Try to do that technique with a dry bush.
This was so cute, do you make journals?
