How to dissolve diesel sludge

Ok a few things:
There are a few types of diesel sludge that I'm aware off.
1-Sludge that developed from diesel algae after years of untreated use.
2-Sludge from water and other contaminants.
3-Sledge from fuel sitting so long in the heat that it evaporates and turns into lacquer.
It's the third type that I'm dealing with in the video. This sludge is so thick and sticky that it just binds to everything it touches. The Acetone breaks down the molecular bond so it can thin out. I have tried every solvent and fuel treatment I have on the shelf and nothing but B-12 did anything to it at all. Then I tried the Acetone and bing-go. Now I can probably wash it out with the pressure washer but I'm taking to be chem-boiled and sealed. That will cost a few hundred $ but its the right thing to do.
Now when you get a unit like this, with really stinky fuel, DO NOT RUN IT! You don't want that crap in the injector pump and injectors. What I do is remove the fuel lines and replace the fuel filter, filling it with a real good fuel treatment. Then I run new lines into a can with good die in it and run it that way. Just start it, let in run for a minute and then turn it off. Let the cleaner sit in the pump and injectors for a few days. Then run it again. This hopefully will clear out whatever lacquer is in the system.
I don't know why but this last year we have gotten four chippers with sludgy foul fuel like this. In the 20 years before this year, only once or twice. Not sure why this is happening. I guess companies are digging deep into their bone yards.
(side note: don't try this on a plastic tank. only metal.)
