It wasn't his ordination. It was his perpetual profession of vows as a Marian of the Immaculate Conception. He will be ordained to the transitional diaconate in September.

The Assumption wasn't even made doctrine until 1950!!
And the sacred tradition of honoring it went back centuries before the first Protestant church was created. It is actually good that it takes a long time to define a Doctrine so things are not done in haste

Are Marian Dogmas Biblical?
Consider Lk. 1:28, “And he came to her and said, “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you.”, one can say with certainty that Mary is full of grace. The graces God fully bestows on her are not one, two, three, or many graces but full; so full that if these graces were to be added up, they would be equaled to “the Lord is with you (her).” These graces, to name but a few, have been identified by the Catholic Church as: To be the Mother of God; to be perpetual virgin in her virginal conception of Christ, in giving birth to Christ, and her continuing virginity after His birth; to be conceived without original sin; and to be assumed body and soul into heaven, and all other graces. In short, if there is a grace that the Lord did not bestow onto Mary, she would not be full of grace. Thus, the Assumption of Mary and all other Marian dogmas are biblical for their basis lies in Luke 1:28. By proclaiming these dogmas, all that the Catholic Church did was to make known to the world, especially the faithful the graces the Lord himself bestowed on Mary. Besides these dogmas, there are many other graces or great things which the Lord has bestowed on Mary, Lk. 1:49, “for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.” and these can be found in the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

This is RC church tradition and cannot be substantiated by the Scriptures. If this priest took the time to try to verify by the Bible what he is saying he would find that, in all good conscience, he could not. For example the Bible says, "There is not one righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:10 Yet he states that Mary was sinless - in direct contradiction of the Apostle Paul. Paul also stated that, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3: 23 We see that the RC church makes void the Word of God by its traditions, in the same way that the scribes and Pharisees of Jesus' day made the Word of God void by their traditions. Mark 7: 13 We need to learn to study the Bible (and know what it says and does not say) for ourselves rather than be spoon-fed by a massive self-serving and misguided institution. Christ is the only head we need, and the Apostles are Christ's only appointed instructors.
Thank you but that same church you're talking about was the one established by Christ 2,000 years ago and has always taught this.. And as it says in second Thessalonians 2:15, sacred tradition is just as important as written. God doesn't just write to his people, he speaks to them. Do you know that the Bible was not canonized until 350 years after Christ? How was the faith maintained? It was through oral tradition. God bless

Well, you can't have it both ways. If Paul's statements are true, then Mary was a member of Adam's dying, sin-infected race, albeit a very decent person. The Word of God has the final word, not RC tradition.
@@DivineMercy_Official Incidentally, I just wanted to add that Apostle Paul, in 2 Thess. 2:15, is referring to the precepts and explanations he has already been known to have shared in relation to the gospel message. To say that these "traditions" (the word used is some translations) are somehow different from what Paul wrote in his letters is illogical and dangerous (adding man's -such as a pope's - ideas to the Word of God). The word (Gk. paradosis) could as well have been translated "precepts". There is no justification to infuse Paul's statement here with a whole other category of concepts ("traditions") other than what we see in his letters to the early congregations.
Only Catholics believe all these! What an inappropriate teaching for Jesus and God believers. So many man-made theories! God mercy! You have the right to believe what you want to believe. Why put Mary Above Christ Jesus? Not for the true Christians. 🙄😇 God mercy! No wonder, Martin Luther walked out of the Catholic Church. 🤔🤨
