I really like this one ! So many UA-camrs go to the same old tourist spots over and over... but you manage to find lovely and interesting places that are (for non-residents) a bit off the beaten path. Well done getting on the back roads. Thank you.

You might also like Karl’s Thailand . He has many off the beaten path vlogs. Not so many viewers but he has decades of Thailand experience. I believe he worked in Khao Yai before when there were still wild tigers

Wow....this is lovely. I was just telling some of my coworkers about my adventures in Thailand and the time I saw an elephant riding in the back of a pickup truck. The stuff you see in Thailand sticks in your head forever, including those gorgeous animals. Great video, mate!

I Love Phants does have 3-4 standard rooms above the lodge. Was lucky to spend 1 night there 2 years ago. Can not recomend it enough. Met the guy who heads up the charity wildlife friends foundation Thailand. He is helping the Thai govement draft new laws to protect animals. They had just rescued the Tigers from Phuket zoo where they had a very small area. We were the 1st tour permitted to view there encloser from a distance as it was just 5 adults and we had to keep very quite. Food served at the lodge was very good. For photographers a tip, bring a very big telephoto lense to get good photos of the gibbons.
Any one who would like to go then plan for a midweek stay as weekends are booked solid for months in advance.

20 years ago my wife (joint Thai and US citizenship) and I purchased a vacation home on the beach south of Hua Hin. Very quiet and laid back even more so than Cha Am. Not so much these days. The tourist explosion in Hua Hin has driven Bangkok weekenders to places like Cha Am and our neck of the woods. The sleepy little beach town; long gone. Should have bought further south around Prachuap or Chumpon. Understand that locals rely on the tourism, but in our 70s now don’t care for the noise from late night-to early morning revelry.

Different and very good video i was in cha am in may to see one condo, it had a beautiful and amazing view of sea and mountain one bed room for 1.1 mil but I didn't bought as building was almost empty, we took massage from elder couple with reasonable price and it was better than most places in Thailand, rural or small centers in Thailand are really amazing. Cha am beach is long but and quite too it's Thai vacation place.

I just come back from this area last week (More like Hua Hin but spent a little time in Cha Am too) just too lazy to edit my videos and upload 🤣 Hua Hin-Cha Am area in my opinion is way underrated. Especially the national parks, the surroundings. I felt myself like in Krabi just I don't have to go that far! And I do my trips like you on my little Honda Click 125i 🤣 My last Hua Hin trip was a lovely 1800 km trip. Pattaya-Bangkok-Cha Am-Hua Hin (and around all the way down to Phra Mahathat Chedi Phakdee Prakat)-Bangkok-Pattaya.
I like your videos because gave me ideas where to go, where to filming and take photos! Even your Vietnam tour partially inspired my upcoming end of the year 2 months Vietnam tour! Keep up the good work and maybe once we will meet on the road somewhere in Thailand!

When I was child around 70s-80s, Cha-am was very popular beach for 1 day trip. I dad drove our family here few times a year. If you go to Hua Hin from Bangkok, you may want to stay for a night. The other choice for 1 day trip was Pattaya but it was more crowded.

My wife has two family plantations inland SW from this location, however there are often public warnings of not-so-friendly elephants visiting from the Myanmar side of the mountains. They are more likely to stomp your motor bike than to let you make friends. Still, this is their vacation turf and you gotta love them. dcb
